Fair enough. I'll concede that point to you. I just want to point out then, that the bill has received major criticism inside Denmark as well as outside. We are not all idiots. Just the minority that is our politicians.

Just a troll, folks... Nothing to see here...OP seems to be leaving comments all over trying to rile someone up.

Have a look at OP's recent activity. /u/gummy_mcnubbins is right on the mark.

Great point. I wasn't drafted due to being physically unfit so I know nothing about the actual conditions during military service. I have, however, brought up this point in discussion with feminists, but they were quick to dismiss it by claiming that military service isn't a big deal.

The bill actually passed. It is a matter that has the danes divided. Personally I'm against it, since I find it an infringement on the right to private property. However, I don't think it is relevant to this subreddit, though.

It seems the debate is sparking right now . I shared an opinion piece by Anne Sophia Hermansen on facebook. Unsurprisingly none of the feminists I know have liked this post. http://annesophia.blogs.berlingske.dk/2016/01/30/skal-maend-have-fri-abort/

I can't say that I disagree with this article. The questions it raises just doesn't seem to have any answers: How do we change this? Can we change this? It saddens me to say, but I think the answer to the last one may be a "no".

Sorry to disappoint; the article, however, is danish. :)

My apologies. I thought I linked to a translated version. Furthermore I was unaware of the requirement of a TL;DR. I know now. Thank you for informing me. The title may be an unconscious side-effect of seeing too many click-bait titles. I honestly did not see anything wrong with it.

I think OP handled that pretty well, all things considered. I would however inject that the greatest insult a man can be called is not "girl". It's "rapist."

That's what people who stand by their opinions do. /s Btw. Who is JudgyBitch? Never heard of this person, that we supposedly revere as a God around here...

I'm on board. :) Let's keep it sober and give everyone (feminists included) the benefit of the doubt. :)

After spending a long time today discussing with feminists about rapeculture in the west, and them refusing to comment on my arguments, creating strawmen and being condescending, this is a little ray of hope for a future, that I almost gave up on...

Anything to get a conviction. October 6th cannot get here fast enough. GAE needs to be acquitted of all charges and severely compensated! I just hope Guthrie gets the hammer for this. (Meaning the hammer of justice; not condoning violence with tools.)

Does anyone know of the Canadian studies she is referencing here? And note how men are responsible for 15% of false accusations, while women are only responsible for 4% of false accusations. The remaining 81%? This is not a translation error!

Thanks. Appreciate it. The headline is really blown out of proportion when you read the actual article. They condemn Lennon as a "child-abuser" based on a letter from a housekeeper from the 60's. First off slapping a child to discipline it, was commonplace in that time period. Secondly the validity of these claims are never addressed. One would be inclined to wonder why this housekeeper wrote a letter about this, at that point in time, extremely famous person. I'm pretty sure that the "Gawkers" …

Do you have a link to the actual article? I'd love to read how they claim to back up that statement?

Wow... just wow... The narrative is set from the very first "way". Every feminist cliché in one article. This is my first encounter with the Guardian. Is this the norm for that publication?
