I think you're giving way too much credit to insane people on tumblr and what they're feeling. Most of society would put a delicate white women on a pedestal far above a MtF trans person who decided to give up on being a man because was too hard. Plenty of people do really stupid shit sometimes and anger in those situations can be very warranted. Obviously it's not a good default frame to assume as an employer, but you shouldn't be afraid to put on that hat if someone fucks up. The primary goal should be to scare/intimidate people a bit and discourage them from future fuck-uppery, not to "unleash your feels" or something like that.

as a parent and an employer The "oh shit, the guy in charge is mad at me" position is one that can yield positive results from fearful people. In those roles, being angry at times can be appropriate if you use it well, even if the anger isn't genuine. Threats of punishment from the "angry boss" can be pretty effective; you just need to make sure you keep it reasonable and don't abuse it.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. Looking at the downvotes of the comment above, it looks like some sarcasm pointed at the methodology of the analysis OP linked was not appreciated. For example, I imagine a robot could have picked up on comments like this and a person reviewing them could see them as bigoted, because being frank about homosexual matters in a way that's not socially acceptable is terrible.

Thanks for the link. The business model is definitely solid, but I'm a little wary in the long run of auto insurance premiums drying up if self-driving cars take off. I'll probably throw some of my IRA money into BRK-Bs this year anyway for my "fun money" allocation. Maybe it's because I work with older women (40+) in a corporate setting, but there really isn't any hostility at all. Everyone is productive, professional, and polite. No real conflict between any of the men/women in the office. No gossip either. I can't really reconcile this post with my own experience in a professional workplace. Eh, it matters less for adults. Once you're older than 18 and all of your buddies live more than a couple of blocks away, the local multiplayer doesn't compare too well to online multiplayer. More often than not, when the rare occassion pops up for local multiplayer, my PC is used for emulating old SNES games rather than going for an actual console. YMMV.

I don't really think that's accurate, unless you're looking beyond human players (e.g. by weighting animals and the environment more highly than most people do). People today are way better off on average than humans 2000 or 20,000 years ago. That couldn't happen if it was truly a zero sum game. Women prefer a faucet spewing money they can spend rather than a stable mass that one doesn't spend, but trickles out money more slowly . $1M may only net you ~$40k a year in the long run, and while that's achievable by 30-35, getting enough wealth for a 6-figure income is trickier.
