It's not off-putting. Actually it's a plus. I like to believe that most people would rather be with someone who's independent and can take care of itself. I myself don't care much if the other person makes 60 or 500k, as long as she isn't depending on me that's great. For long term relations I rather engage with someone that has about the same income and cumulated assets as me. So that in case it doesn't work no one loses money. I know that some people preffer to split responsabilities different…

Sure, reverse places and that's a big thing. He wouldn't be able to just laugh and get away with it

Just have an educated conversation with him about this. Everything should be fine. He can see his friends somewhere else or they can take care of their own mess. I would just recommend that you try not to sound like you're trying to take him away from his friends, cause that may sound controlling. Idk where you live but here in Brazil I see a lot of this. When a relation falls into a more traditional point in the spectrum, the man interpretation for the woman's role is that she will take care of…

I think the message society has been passing to women is more like "you can do non traditional things if you want to" and less like "you HAVE to do so", so that's totally fine by all means.

To me, it just seems nonsense, force someone to assume the role of dad for other men's child, it's ridiculous. Men should have the right to ask for paternity test if they're not sure the child is theirs.

Well, surely space is very important. I myself don't like people trying to help me when I'm stressed out, I rather be alone for a bit. The thing is that there must be something very bad in his work to make him so stressed out. You can give him space or make him a massage today and he would get a little bit better, but the underlying problem would remain. The way to actually solve this is to solve whatever problem he has at the workplace, or to find another job if that's not possible. Do you thin…

That's actually a great idea. And I would encourage suggesting this when someone calls you out. Many times we will suggest drinks just because it's something casual and that many people enjoy. But really when we ask someone out we just want to spend some time with them and get to know them a little. So any casual place would be good. Dinner is just too much investment as you commented. Also the alcohol factor raise the chance of stupid things being said/done so it may be better staying alway fro…

Hey, thanks for choosing us to your work =) In my case, when I was about 16(6 years ago) I went to a new school learn chemestry. Brazilian federal schools debate a lot in social topics, particularly feminism. We would always debate in sociology classes and I was always bringing data and argumenting in favour of several topics in the feminist agenda. I still do that today. Problem was, everytime someone brought a discrimination against man to the table they were quickly dismissed and socially pun…

That's huge news. The fact that the federal government is investigating this brings a lot of light to discrimination against men. I hope that this goes mainstream.

We could very well just have a National Violence Survey that looks at both genders. Today those studies are still very femalecentric.

I'm not really against feminism. It may have gone a little bit out of control in some areas. But I believe that everyone should be able to express it's concerns and thoughts on gender issues. I just think man should start making this as well. And more than that, I believe we should hear more each other's issues.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
