He's talking about the events that started GamerGate. In a nutshell: "Game Developer" Zoe Quinn produced a kind of interactive choose your own adventure novel thing called Depression Quest. It was ok, but in a lot of ways not a very good game. However, she allegedly had an intimate relationship with a games journalist at Kotaku (and possibly others, IIRC), who wrote a review of Depression Quest praising it highly. Mate, if I was at all concerned that she would cheat on me, I would be out. But the fact is she rarely goes out. Dislikes it even. So when she does, I'm cool with it. Why should what she's doing bother me? I've got my own shit going on.

Thank you. You get it. This was my point. If she wants to go out (which in my current LTR is rare), then that's cool. I trust her to not cheat, so I don't worry about it. As a result, I'm the bigger man for it.

A confident man should have no problems with his significant other going out. If you're paranoid she might cheat on you while out, probably something wrong anyway. Just play it cool. "Who are you seeing? Oh, hanging out with a bunch of guys? Cool, have fun".
