I don't know of any academic sources. But some writers who are worth reading in this area are Stephen Biddulph, David Deida, and of course the OG Warren Farrell. My advice is: read One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. This book is about a woman using her position of power to bully and crush the spirits of a bunch of helpless men in an insane asylum. Then an inmate arrives who refuses to obey or respect her. They are really beaten down emotionally because they are much easier to control when they see themselves as weak and as worthless failures. I think part of the problem is that just a couple of days ago 130 Feminists and 3 of the biggest feminist orgs in the USA plus the Womens March in the UK came out in open support of serial domestic abuser Amber Heard. I haven't done MKP itself so couldn't really say. My understanding is that it is centrally organised, but I'm sure each group is a little different due to individual leadership. I believe that at this stage, anyone who supports that overused flappy fish market is either evil or insane. That said, I actually found the general response of women to this case to be very comforting. I followed this case for years on Youtube, and the comments from women supporting Johnny and calling out Amber as the perpetrator outnumbered her supporters massively and consistently. This helped me to believe that the sane women outnumber the feminazis by a significant margin.
