One of the ways that people deal with issues that make them uncomfortable is to make jokes about them. I think that what she did was insensitive but somewhat understandable. Sharon Osborne by contrast openly endorsed the idea of vigilante castration with evident audience approval. That is a very different, far more offensive and disturbing matter. Not knowing the truth, the default should be innocent until proven guilty. If she has evidence she should call the cops.
