Well seem like it changed quit a bit in the past years, I don’t know why men would put up with this behaviour. Nobody can expect somebody traditional if they don’t have traditional values themselves, you can’t expect somebody to be the “braidwinner/provider” and then expect them to do chores too? Why is there even a relationship then, seem way too one sided. If that’s the situation there I would also say the western feminist is better…

I would say from what I saw around me all my life, most of the women from those countries do seem to follow traditional roles, I never saw any couple share chores or do 50/50 on dates. I’m either living around really conservative people or we just have very different experiences. And if it’s about emancipated, I do think every human should have control over their own life, but I would say there is still a very present trend when it comes to relationships to have very traditional roles, burden of…

I don’t think it’s as easy as picking the best of both. As a women there you do get many advantages, man tend to have more a mindset of wanted to be a provider, those country offer way better gouvernement benefits for family and kids but there is a lot of negatives too, as a women you get respected way less, as much as in the work place as in the daily life, sexisme is still really present, the country as really traditional value you are that you are expected to follow. I will take the example o…

Actually no, I am sorry but no. You are wrong on so many aspects, you think Russia and Ukraine are feminist countries? Far from it, those are someone of the most religious countries, Christian orthodoxy is really present there. As someone who is from one of those country, most people I know married really young, women tend to have traditional roles, those are not country I would describe as feminist. Yes there are big burden put on man, but those came from the traditional side of things, from th…

As someone who is from a Slavic/Balkan country. Those countries don’t have the same values as you would find in western country, those are very religious countries (Christian orthodoxy), where women do tend to work (because living on one income is not realistic) but they also do most of the chores and take care of the kids. I don’t think most of the population would be in favour of it, and I think most of the family are grateful at least one parents can still take care of the kids and could prot…

Exactly, 100% agree. A discussion is always better then an echo chamber where you only want to hear your own opinion.

It’s definitely not for everyone, they just want to all valide themselves without hearing anything that would go against their opinions. I honestly like this sub way more for that reason, even tho I don’t agree with everything, I can have a polite conversation in the comments with someone else without being worried about will the moderator just permanently block me for disagreeing. I had so many amazing conversations in this sub Reddit, even some going back and forth for a really long time, some…

I think the way this sub work is way better. I think they are the problem by not accepte to have discussion with people having other opinions, they just want to validate each other. As someone who would probably describe myself as a feminist (not on modern term, but more on the old values) I think I had some very interesting conversions with others in the comments of this sub Reddit, sometimes it even challenged my own opinions and made me see things differently. I honestly like this subreddit, …

This is completely true, I got permanently banned for saying that I think feminist doesn’t focus on the right issues and that it’s sometimes used to justify hate (I was literally just explaining my point of view really politely). Permanently banned and no reason given, even when I ask. It seem like if you even say sometime the moderator disagree with you just get banned with no explanation.

I responded to a comment with that but I will also put it here : You can’t just refuse to help when it’s your job? If you can’t put your own emotions aside and do the job you are paid to do correctly, then you should just not have this job to began with? Will you be saying the same if a teacher decided that “she doesn’t believe that a guy can be bullied” so she doesn’t want to do the report and just decide to ignore what the kid said? Or a judge that thing “men are all bad parents” and therefore…

Both married with kids, and both disgusting cheaters. I would say both deserve to be hated equally, no reason for the men to be hated more, both are awful disgusting humans being.

That’s horrible, I’m really sorry this happened to you. Some people are awful humans being, not only ungrateful but also capable of doing a lot of harm. I do think that men should have the right to terminate their parental right, should be on a time limite (not abandoning a child you raised for years obviously). A good option could be a few months up to one year after being told that you are the father of the child. Best of luck to you op, I really hope you can get justice.

I agree strongly with this, not necessarily on this Reddit community but I did found that there is a big censorship in some Reddit communities. I made once a post in the feminism reddit that said something similar, that I think modern feminism is not focusing on the right issues and explaining why it has become a mouvement I have difficulty to associate it. I got instantly permanently ban, no warning. Was not anything hateful, but a simple opinion that was contradicting I guess what the moderato…

Oh, my account keep having notifications on downvote haha; just thought it it was not worth it for this specific question since she already answered it anyway and that was pretty much the end of it, I left my comment with my opinion on the topic later tho, everyone is free to reply to it or downvote that one haha, that one is an opinion after all :)

Oh no worry I know that haha, I juts think downvoting for asking if you can have a conversation with someone on a topic is kinda rude. Not like my comment even had an opinion to it, it was just asking her if I can tell her my perspective on the topic, she was 100% free to decline, but well, everyone see it as they want.

Same, I switched between joining and leaving multiple times, especially during my teenage years. I really dislike the way the current moment operate, I thinks there are so many real issues to resolve; from the women, but also from the man side. It just sad that now because of this hate, most focus on hating on the opposite gender rather than finding way to help people.

I think the same, I think they should focus on actual issue like the one mentioned before. Nobody is gaining anything by hating on other; idk why they don’t change their approche, this hate is just giving sad, most people can’t even related to the mouvement anymore because of this, they should focus on resolving problems; not creating new ones.

Omg, this is absolutely horrible!!! Why did that happen? How long ago did this happen? Why is there nothing in the news about this?

Oh, I didn’t saw it that way, I think women are as capable of harming as man. There seem to be a real problem in using the term feminist to just promote hating man.

I went from hating modern feminist too to seeing another side of the of it, I just thought it might be interesting to share my perspective. I think many women use feminist just to justify their hate for man, and because of that this term is now hated. The wrong issues are addressed too, why are we still taking about salary when it has already been solved long ago, or having body count as a center issue. Especially, when modern feminist should solve modern issues women faces, issues like :the lac…

I came to this forum because I had a debate yesterday with someone (on a completely different subject, but it ended on a man right debate), they encourage me to go see this forum, so far I think I noticed two things; there is truly many issues that men face, but there seem to be so much hate too, I have the impressing everyone hate everyone, some “feminist” use feminist as a reason to justify pure hate for man (have seen this situation way too many time); and people in this forum also seem to al…

Can I offer another perspective on modern feminist? Only I you accept to hear it of course
/r/MensRights01/05/25 04:59 AM

I’m genuinely curious, why would someone that is raise with the idea of feminist (equality between man and women), have more chance to be victime of terrible women? Where is this idea coming from, is there data that back this up?The ideology doesn’t imply that all woman are good people, why would anyone assume that? Women are capable of the same level of harm as men, there is no reason to believe the opposite?

I guess I just didn’t saw it that way, seem like there is a lot of disadvantage to those group too. If I was in one of them I would have probably just believe the informations to be honestly; thinking nobody has a reason to lie. Maybe I should joins one of them just to see what it look like inside on my own haha. Well thank you for this discussion, defiantly made me see those groups in another light, even tho I’m still not sure that they are 100% useless, they definitely seem harmful too. Was an…

But if they have an open marriage it should be disclosed to the person you want to date, it should not be hidden? Otherwise it’s just as bad as cheating, at lease in my opinion. And people that do immoral things will not admit it do you if they want to date you, that why there is a tendency to trust stranger more since they have less reason to lie to you on that aspect.

Then women didn’t disagree with the idea but the google play made it impossible? Or maybe I am understanding it wrong? It’s not an alternative solution if I understand it correctly?

I was saying it’s a good prevention to add if you have proof, if it can help even one person not be harm, it’s a win. Wouldn’t you want to know if someone if not serious with you? If this person is already married? Idk how other feel about dating multiple people, but personally that would just tell me to not pursue that specific person. But if you take an action, I do think you should take it’s responsibility, if you are married and it get leak, it’s does deserve to be gossip, at lease im my opi…

I see, so it’s basically to transfer those groups to an application for them to not be taken down of Facebook? Would that be helpful because they would be more verification?

What do you mean by to market the group?
/r/MensRights01/05/25 03:46 AM

Oh no, I didn’t exprime myself correctly; I do think the most important thing is to report the crime to the police, 100% agree on that. But I am also saying that investigating take time and those group help to spread awareness in that period (I agree it should be with proof). What about reporting married people or someone that is dating multiple people, are you against that too?

I was saying that those groups and apps have a reason to be used, if they would not be needed, they’re would not be used to began with. If you want to talk before this groups/apps; then people were still gossiping with their friends and neighbours. If you did something wrong it was still gossiped then too, gossiping is for sure not a new thing that suddenly appears on those group. Even on social media people talk about their bad date, those group don’t bring anything new on the gossiping aspect,…

The problem is, past cases have proven that even with report made to the police, the process to charge these people for their crimes is often really slow, allowing more then one victime to be made. Dating apps not cooperating with the investigation is also not really helping. Also what to do with those that lie about their dating statue? Married or already in a relationship? It’s not really a crime, but avoiding those is not a bad idea. And also, because some people abuse of a resource, do we ta…

Those group were made to spread awareness about dangerous people that they meet or people that lied (married or in relationship), since dating apps do not take reports seriously. I think men should also have those groups, some women also lie or can be dangerous, why not have a group too and avoid those?
/r/MensRights30/04/25 06:20 PM
1

Ok I hear you: let’s say that those group are wrong to exist because they break the privacy and informations are not controlled well. Then what do you propose? Men don’t want their informations leak, women don’t want to meet dangerous people or start a relationship with someone that lie to them (already dating someone else). The application doesn’t take report seriously. Now what other solutions do you propose? How to help others not get tricked or fall in a bad situation you are aware about?
/r/MensRights30/04/25 06:11 PM
1

Those group have a purpose in their creation, they are used because the application doesn’t answer a need. If they would have been useless they would not exist to began with, how else would you be able to alert other women that this person is dangerous or is lying about wanting a serious relationship? Those group should not be the target, the applications not taking reports seriously ,and not protecting your right to privacy that they claim you have, should be the target. What about people using…

Since applications have shifted all the blame out of them, they have no reason to help protect users informations. Is it right? No, I think they should do more, but that’s the reality
/r/MensRights30/04/25 05:28 PM

You didn’t consent for it to be shared; but you consented to the risk associated to these informations being shared by accepting to take all blame out of this apps.

If it had impacted your life to the point of you knowing about it, and it’s a lie; then you sue, if you have never heard of yourself being in them: there is a big big chance your name has not even been mentioned, why assume someone would lie about dating you when they are not? Most people don’t care enough about someone they don’t even know to make up a lie about them?
/r/MensRights30/04/25 05:24 PM
1

If I am not mistaken, these apps also make you constant that they are in no way responsible if those informations end up being shared. You know what you agreed to by using these applications and putting your informations on them, men or women, you both accepted the exact same conditions.
/r/MensRights30/04/25 05:21 PM

Why would anyone lie about dating you at the same time as someone else? And if they lied, sue for defamation, they will then need to prove that the statement was true
/r/MensRights30/04/25 05:06 PM

The judiciary system is failing everyone, sexual assault and crimes against children also have way too low sentences, most around a month or two. Most crime need better punishment; and this one is also one of them.
/r/MensRights30/04/25 04:59 PM

By using this apps and putting your personal informations out there, you basically put yourself in the situation of those being shared, goes for women too. And if you have not done anything immorality wrong; why would you be worry about the “are we dating the same guy”? Just date one person at the time and you are safe buddy.
