Wait, no. It was specifically stated that if they didn’t perform the C-section then the baby would likely die too. It was a choice of saving the baby or watching both die.

I saw a post from a woman on another sub wording it as him having to make a choice between aborting the child or saving his wife’s life, and that’s…just not what happened. Happily most women who replied pointed out that this wasn’t a case of potential abortion at all; letting the child die would not have saved the mother. It was either they both died or the child could be saved. And…historically that was reality. Like, I would hope that if I were ever in that situation my husband would choose to…

Maybe. I don’t think anyone’s reproductive rights should be regulated. Most of us know pretty early on whether or not we want kids or how many we want to have (our magic number was 2) and we should be able to control that by a simple surgery, man or woman, if we wish.

Lots of women want tubal ligations but a lot of doctors refuse to perform them if you’re under a certain age, have no medical reason, or have had no children. Guys have to jump through way less hoops to get a vasectomy. My husband got one, and I’m so thankful.
