Frankly I believe there should only be one unisex bathroom with stalls and screened urinals. It’s not about catching a glimpse, it’s about equality. Why is there a need for separate bathrooms? It’s an issue many fathers I speak with raise, one that can be easily addressed, and something that both sides of the aisle can find common ground in. It’s not just the lack of changing tables in the men’s room which is an issue, I also take issue with the lack of family or gender neutral restrooms. Women’s bathrooms all have stalls, so there’s no “exposure” if a young boy is brought into a woman’s bathroom. A young girl needing to use a public restroom can not be escorted by her father into the women’s bathroom, and instead is left with no choice to escort her past a long row of urinals of men “hanging out”.
