If I was a doc, I’d require it too. As a mom: you just went through ~9 months of hell just to pop him out and torture him for aesthetics?? Makes no sense to me why anyone would wanna see their newborn in that much pain

WHY would you want to hear your child scream bloody murder days old because of fucking vanity?? The first time I heard my oldest scream like that was when they held him down to put an IV in for RSV at 6 months old. It’s fucking haunting.

I was fortunate then because my OBs (2 different ones with 2 boys) asked once, put it in my chart and never asked again. The woman doc actually goes “Oh thank God, because I would be the one having to do it” and that caught both me and my husband off guard.

Right? When the pediatrician does it I cringe hard. I’ve heard both advices, do or don’t, and it just makes more sense to to leave it the hell alone

As a mom of two boys, the only time I have ever felt relief for them crying was when they were born. I NEVER want to hear them cry for butchering them for aesthetics. They are uncut and the only thing that sucks is their streams are all over the fucking place man. Like they can’t aim for shit. Have to biohazard protocol their bathroom once a week. No regerts

"Wrong opinions". As a woman, I actually relate more to this sub (ya know, because I respect my husband and instill respect in my son and don't want either of them to face anything unjust because of their pee pees) than I do to /twoxchromosomes. I actually hate that subreddit, it's an echo chamber for a dangerous ideology. And I don't think I've ever even gone into r/feminism. There is just nothing there for me. I am not subservient, I am not beaten or abused for respect (except from my 6 month …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
