They just give you platitudes or think that whatever they did to find love is a universal truth and you must follow their steps exactly. Speaking from experience just keep it to yourself. Your friends will feign concern and try to help but nobody gives a fuck. Trust me. It hurts but this is my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 11:09 AM

More like: Reddit Go to therapy, shower, wear nice clothes, be yourself, get hobbies and join meet up, go to the gym, cold approach Also Reddit Umm why are you doing that to find a girlfriend? I told you to do that for yourself because when you stop looking you’ll find love Normie platitudes trotted out by charlatans who overextend their understanding of modern dating
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 11:07 AM

This is what I’ve thought for a very long time. Attractive men don’t have to follow any of the dating advice you see on Reddit. They don’t need a bunch of hobbies, therapy, meet ups or anything else for that matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 11:04 AM

I think you’ve taken my comment a little bit too literally. I just meant that men are angry and adopt the red pill because they can’t form romantic partnerships or have casual sex so it serves as a coping mechanism
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 08:13 AM

Said differently: they drop the angry red pill act once they get a taste of what they were missing. Women are only evil to them because they can’t get regular access to romantic or sexual partners so they internalise the anger

monetised male loneliness That’s the most accurate way to describe what’s happening. Just scroll through any dating Reddit to see it play out. Guys will log on and explain they’ve done everything in the comments only to be told “bro we only told you to self improve for you. You’re an incel if you think this would’ve got you a girlfriend”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 05:34 PM

Interesting response. If you actually read what’s posted in advice threads you’ll see it amounts to nothing but platitudes. Go to the gym bro, get a hobby bro, wear expensive clothes bro, go to bars bro, grow a beard bro etc. none of it works and all you’re doing is scamming guys into thinking they’ll find a partner if they fulfil this arbitrary list of tasks
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 08:23 AM
20

Hmm I’m not sure I agree. These platitudes are designed to terminate the conversation and don’t actually engage with the problem at hand
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/24 12:13 PM
34

The thing is rather than listening and engaging, people read what they think the OP is saying, not what the OP is actually saying so you end up with a disconnect punctuated by normie platitudes that only serve the top percentage of guys. E.g. “cruise bars bro, wear nice clothes bro, get some aftershave bro” and more.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/24 09:46 AM

They’re both a load of bullshit that each respective side concocts to cope with the fact they can’t find a partner, dates or relationship. Dating sucks regardless of your age gender location or experience. Regardless of if they’re blue or red pilled, successful people don’t have to analyse, think or strategise their dating like you see on Reddit. Happy people don’t need to ask for advice on how to find a girlfriend for example
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:00 AM
2

Okay to use your basketball analogy: when you were actively dating you had tonnes of free throws. Sure not many of them would’ve landed but you still had shots. For guys were constantly up against strong defence and 9/10 of our shots are routinely blocked
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/24 01:54 PM
3

Because every time guys like me who are below average looks go on here and similar subreddits to discuss it we’re constantly hounded for not trying enough or failing to fulfil the seemingly arbitrary list of tasks and quests a guy is supposed to complete to get a girlfriend. Then whenever we try to push back and say we either tried all that and still had no success or that we’re neurodivergent and struggle socially we’re beaten back and called incels who don’t want to improve etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/24 01:52 PM

It would fix mine.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/24 09:39 AM

No
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 05:05 PM

So you invent superficial reasons to hide the fact tho don’t find the guy physically attractive? I’d rather be told you aren’t attracted to me than “oh you need to level up your charisma stat, it’s not you it’s me”.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:49 AM

“Shame top tier men”. Firstly that would just make you an incel and secondly when the tap to unlimited sex is wide open why would Chad want to stop because some horny virgin with his hog in his hand shames him about all the regular sex he had?

See this is the thing. I’m also autistic and this post pretty much mirrors my experiences here. It’s social and romantic because after all if you read the dating advice on reddit it always says to get yourself into social situations with women before asking them out. If you can’t do step one how can you do step 2? How can you convince people that you’re just as human as Chad across the bar but autism makes it harder to perceive and be perceived.

So don’t shit where you eat but talk to women at work? Why mention work to begin with? Lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:12 AM

Lmao. So basically everyone to the left of the bell curve or attractiveness then?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:08 AM

I reject that point too. I think what everyone is missing is below the top tiers of attractiveness, most men and women have very similar experiences when it comes to finding a partner. Not casual sex, a long term life partner
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:08 AM

No because I don’t pay to go to clubs lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:07 AM

What are you talking about bro, all you have to do is put yourself out there! /s
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/24 08:03 AM

This is the only rational way to process this take. If you don’t trust your partner implicitly then don’t have kids. Simple as.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 06:43 PM

If you think it’s “simple math” then walk up to the board and show the class, smartass. Whilst you’re at it, get therapy for those trust issues and make sure to sign the divorce papers properly.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 06:41 PM

one insecurity Which you conveniently understate. It’s actually one massive insecurity considering it involves bringing an entirely new human life into the world. If hubby doesn’t trust the wife to bear his child then he’s not the one for her. He needs therapy before having a child if he’s that insecure. Choices have consequences

The fact that you don’t value or attempt to understand alternate perspectives is all I need to discount this post and your comments. Once again: All you've done is argue, criticise or otherwise insult every single opinion that isn't in support of yours. Yep this is the truth. Unless you’re an 8/10 or over guy she’s constantly weighing your physical attractiveness and appearance against everything else such as personality, your friends literally any leverage. If you’re an attractive guy that goes out the window and you’re the one who controls the dynamic
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 07:45 AM
3

Can second this. I’m autistic and can’t read social cues very well. I’m also sub 6/10 which doesn’t help.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 09:59 AM

Nothing to do with women broski. They only invent standards to stop guys under 6/10 approaching them. Attractive guys don’t even have to try. Their faceonality breaks the initial awkwardness barrier to an extend which is proportional to the guys perceived attractiveness
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 08:28 AM

Only men who sit to the left of sigma = 0 on the bell curve of attractiveness have to do all that shit. Men who are > 1 standard deviation above mean attractiveness don’t have to follow any rules and regularly go on dates or secure relationships.

I’m staunchly against it. The foreskin is one of the most important parts of male sex organs and protects the head of the penis. Even its successful removal can negatively impact sexual function and sensitivity. This is to say nothing of the scarring and infection risk as well as how self conscious it makes guys who’ve had the procedure. Totally barbaric and should be held to the same standards as FGM

Right but it’s not the go to response is it? Guys come on dating subreddits and explain they’re followed all the platitudes like getting a hobby, joining a club, working out, taking care of personal hygiene, going to therapy and the response isn’t “hmm maybe we need to evaluate why women don’t find you attractive” it’s almost always incel, it isn’t a checklist to guarantee you pussy Even though this advice is almost always universally given out to guys who are struggling regardless of their situ…

There’s absolutely a lot of truth in this. I’m autistic and have a very small friend group plus I’m not conventionally attractive so I pretty much gave up on the idea of it ever happening. My friend who just got married keeps hammering me for not trying and suggests this laundry list of advice for self improvement but he simply can’t accept that for most guys in my generation they can go on dates, have casual sex, marry or get into serious relationships as a matter of nature. Shallow or not, i'm not in the market for a neurodivergent guy. Any reason? It raises an eyebrow because average people start having relationships and sex during highschool. I never understood this position. Nobody said anything about sex. I just want companionship and closeness on a level a fellow man can't produce.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 05:37 PM

For a woman to have sex with a man who wants her as much as she wants him, there is a man also getting sex from someone who wants him as much as he wants her. Okay you're going to have to explain that further. And hugging friends isn’t supposed to be a substitute for “better” affection. Men who like affection (like me!) consider hugs fun and rewarding. Men who say “IM STARVED FOR AFFECTION” but then turn up their nose at anything that isn’t “sexual affection” are just trying to say “I’m so horny…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 05:34 PM

If men wanted more affection, they’d hug their friends. Sure, that’s definitely a substitute for the warmth and affection of cuddling a woman who loves you. What they want is sex from a woman who desires him as much as he desires her. Who’s “they”? What proportion of men have you surveyed to determine that? I don’t think mutual affection is a tall order to be fair. Of which men and women get roughly the same amount (with some less rewarding sex here or there throughout their lives.) Okay that’s …

Just take care of yourself first and put yourself first. Always have. I have nobody else by my side. When you’re attractive, high status, have opportunities to socialise, get laid and be part of the social fabric of your generation you soon find it takes considerably less effort to meet women versus e.g. a nerd or autistic man with hobbies perceived as antisocial. It’s common knowledge that high status men and women get the lions share of options socially romantically and sexually.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:21 PM

Chad wasn't chad from the get-go. Maybe chad was more naturally inclined towards certain things that helped him get a date, but he still had to put the work in. Demonstrably false. When you’re attractive and have opportunities to socialise, get laid and be part of the social fabric of your generation you soon find it takes considerably less effort to meet women versus e.g. a nerd or autistic man with hobbies perceived as antisocial. An innate active man has to work orders of magnitude harder to …

This one thousand times over. I’ve seen people get downvoted to hell in dating subreddits for saying this but you’ve phrased it so well here.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:16 PM

That’s just moving the goalposts again and refusing to admit the advice doesn’t work unless you’re chad. What the fuck does self assess even mean anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:12 PM

Okay then. What in your qualified experience will get these guys a date then? So far you’ve moved the goal post So let’s assume I’ve Gone to the gym, bought nice clothes, said yes to everything, gone to therapy, got my money up, approached women, developed my game Yet I’m still alone? See how the advice is just formulated to make the person giving it feel better and an easy way out? Don’t you see how it’s just crap that Chad posts out of survivorship bias? Chad correlates what he did to get laid…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:07 PM

You shouldn't be looking at the exception when something works for the other 99.9% of people. There wouldn’t be an epidemic of lonely single men if “99.9%” of guys could get laid by following that tripe.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:03 PM

You can deny the whole hypergamy and “she only fucks chad” arguments but it’s undeniable that online and in person women have a better choice of options. What’s often overlooked however is the overlap between attractive men and attractive women: their experiences are generally the same. Lots of options and lots of opportunities. It’s why you see people on dating subreddits giving advice to go to the gym, grow a beard, socialise, be yourself etc. Because when you’re attractive you already have a …
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:01 PM

Yes and no. I don’t strictly agree with this notion because you could be a single guy who follows what you’ve said and puts the work in to better themselves and improve their chances yet they still end up single. This happened to my closest friend. He’s handsome, wears nice clothes, talks nicely, is respectful and frankly I’d date him if I was gay or bisexual. I think there is definitely a selection bias problem

What? You already did that brah? Sounds like you need to get your money up brah
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/24 01:11 PM

What you mean you tried going to the gym, approaching women, going to therapy, growing a beard and the pussy didn’t come flooding in? Idk bro maybe you were just too forward and arrogant. Women don’t owe you sex brah. All this worked for me brah /s
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/24 12:48 PM

Exactly. It stops becoming advice and instead becomes self fulfilling normie platitudes on the same wavelength as “be yourself” “go to the gym bro” etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/24 12:37 PM

I’m tired of hearing this thing about men getting more attractive in their 30s because as many people have said it only applies to men who had regular, sustained dating, sex and success in their late teens and 20s. It does not apply to e.g., men on the spectrum or men who have immutable flaws in their appearance through eg. Bad genes or disabilities
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/24 12:02 PM

Not reading all that. Have a nice weekend! 👍😎
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 05:23 PM

Then why are you here if all you want to do is provoke, argue in bad faith and use reverse incel talking points about how evil men are
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 05:17 PM

Why are you so bitter and vitriolic? You won’t win any support and it’ll only drive further animosity but you do you sister

See this snapping turtle style response to even the mildest provocation by jilted men is why we can never have a genuine discussion about things like this.

Men create their own problems. Such as? Then they harass, threaten, kill and rape people Indeed but the vast majority of men are just trying to get by and find the energy to wake up in the morning. All I want in life is a woman by my side who loves me.

I'd rather be paralysed by overwhelming options than stuck with no food or water in a sahara-scale dry spell

I do think they have an easier time having sex, of course. I feel like there are a lot of similarities between lonely, romantically unsuccessful men and women who are in the same boat. What differentiates the two and fuels the division is that women on the whole have an easier time finding someone to have sex with. The problem is guys tend to conflate sex with romantic partnerships.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 02:20 PM

If you are a sperg you are fucked. yep. Women can smell autism from a mile away, even if they're not autistic themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 10:16 AM

Don't make me tap the sign: always follow rules 1 and 2 You could be Johnny 6 pack who goes to therapy 4 times a week and gives all his money to the poor but as soon as a >8/10 comes along you'll be a memory. Looks and status give you a major buffer zone to be awkward or boring as a man. Think of what works in advertising: it's the well written, sexily photographed products that always sell.

Normalising doing stuff alone is good and I encourage it because we shouldn’t be dependent on people to do things/go to places that interest us. With that said sometimes it’s just nicer to share that experience with someone who loves and cares about you. It becomes less about the thing or destination you’re seeing/doing and more about bonding over shared experiences and making memories. People who are single like me are often fine on their own going to places and events without a partner but som…

You could be the most vapid vacuous and hollow soul but if you have a big package, abs and an attractive face you’ll be swimming in puss
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 07:46 PM

Beautifully said. Unless you’re >7 or 8/10 there’s no point even trying to play the game.

I think the underlying problem for men is not how to get a girlfriend since most guys already answered that when dating in their teens Heh. Yeah all that dating and 1/cos(x) I had as a teenager

Just join clubs and wear nice clothes bro. Go to the gym as well bro. Chicks dig muscles bro. Sure you might be autistic with zero dating options but at least you’ll be shredded brah.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/24 10:21 AM

She’s not going to notice you bro.
