What do you guys think of Slut Walks?I'm so confused about slutwalks. Isn't people having consensual sex a good thing? I don't get why a slut is an insult. I know it is, I'm not nuts, but I don't really get why. I mean, I want to have a lot of sex, all things considered. Isn't it in my best interests for women to be sluts? Who is telling them not to be? Stop it! Gender politics confuses the fuck out of me. | /r/MensRights | 27/09/14 02:56 AM
Askreddit: "Should women be required to sign up for selective service, now, when they turn 18?"That appears to be a brilliant idea. | /r/MensRights | 28/06/14 07:23 PM
Women's rights campaigners voice anger after woman jailed for false rape claims.Unless the victim is a man. Then he's pretty much out of luck. | /r/MensRights | 27/06/14 04:18 AM
What to do about the War on Boys in SchoolWhy is this not just a link to the video? | /r/MensRights | 17/06/14 11:25 PM
Feminist who asked for guidance...You are awesome. I'm too high to explain why, but I agree with the other folks who did. | /r/MensRights | 17/06/14 11:16 PM
| -2 | Only men were killed: At the Breeze View Hotel, the gunmen pulled the men aside and ordered the women to watch as they killed them.I didn't mean to imply they were. I was speaking more about the importance of distinguishing between condemning the media for marginalizing male death and giving the impression that we think a 50/50 split of fatalities would be 'better'. After all the "MRAs hate / want to kill women" articles, I do think it's important to clarify we're not saying more women should have died. Because that is what a lot of people assume we are saying. | /r/MensRights | 17/06/14 12:09 AM |
Feminist here...I need help.My mother was mentally ill as well, and I hated women for a long time because of that. It wasn't until I found the men's rights movement that I actually understood her abuse wasn't my fault. It also showed me there are some crazy women out there, but in doing so, helped me understand just how small a minority of people that is. I'm grateful to be able to say I genuinely bear no animosity to either gender any more. I just hope in the next decade or two we can evolve from mra/feminist to simply hu… | /r/MensRights | 16/06/14 09:40 PM
| -14 | Only men were killed: At the Breeze View Hotel, the gunmen pulled the men aside and ordered the women to watch as they killed them.Yeah, it sucks they killed those guys. But I'm not sure complaining they didn't kill the women is the healthiest viewpoint. I mean, I get the point about the media and the marginalization of men's deaths, absolutely. But maybe this particular issue would benefit from a more statistical approach, rather than one that can so easily be misinterpreted. I just think using an actual recent tragedy to illustrate a problem is sort of tacky, even when you're 'right'. | /r/MensRights | 16/06/14 09:12 PM |
Can we put something in the sidebar to explain how we're not even remotely related to the red pill?2x has a post about the cracked article right now. I'll admit I only skimmed it, but they didn't appear to know there was a difference. Or particularly care, but that's probably my own bias. | /r/MensRights | 04/06/14 02:01 AM
Men's Conference is under attack with threats of violence. AVFM is asking for donations to meet the rising cost to deal with these threats.I don't think it was in the video, I read it like 5 minutes ago on one of the updates. I honestly don't remember where though, so take it with a grain of salt. | /r/MensRights | 02/06/14 07:05 PM
Men's Conference is under attack with threats of violence. AVFM is asking for donations to meet the rising cost to deal with these threats. They've said that if they raise more than they need right now, they'll use the surplus to pay for future conferences. | /r/MensRights | 02/06/14 06:34 PM
"Don't let them silence us" -- AVFM's best response ever to an attack, in this case to the feminist threats against the Men's Issues Conference. This video is focused, human, empathetic, and well produced. The global, diverse faces of all races, sexes and genders is wonderful to see. #congratsThey probably prefer money. | /r/MensRights | 02/06/14 04:03 PM
Deleted by FrogmanYou're correct, but that doesn't justify behaving that way. It's not about looking better than them, it's about holding ourselves to the same standards we have for others. | /r/MensRights | 27/05/14 05:52 PM
The harassing PMs and threats that 2XC users have been complaining MRAs have sent since they became a default turn out to be lies or false flag operations by regular users, according to admin /u/DeimorzYeah, I really enjoy being a member of 2x but it's clear that men are openly unwelcome. I will say that in addition to the hate, I usually get more upvotes than down, so I feel welcome enough to stick around. It just sucks to know how high a percentage of the sub is bothered enough by my genitals to complain regardless of the content of my post. It's similar for them here, of course, it's not (necessarily) a gender thing. Still sucks though. | /r/MensRights | 24/05/14 09:23 PM
[TV Spoilers] The Mindy Project joked about the rape of a male guest star this week and no one is talking about it.For what it's worth, I did see a post complaining about it on one of the 2x subreddits. | /r/MensRights | 27/09/13 09:46 PM
On Unwanted Pregnancies: Why don't men's rights activists advocate "No condom, no sex"?I knew a girl who wouldn't have sex using a condom. Didn't fuck her because of that, actually. | /r/MensRights | 22/09/13 11:48 PM
Interesting reddit discussion on women being charged for lying about being on birth control- is it rape? How does that have any relevance to if it would be rape? | /r/MensRights | 16/06/13 09:40 PM
After 8 long years from a bitter divorce and custody battle, I'm a very proud father with full legal custody of my daughter. (x-post from pics)That's the best news I've heard all day! Congratulations dude, way to go! | /r/MensRights | 12/06/13 04:05 PM
X-post from /r/funny that sadly resonated with me this morning...I would totally go to a party like that, but I'm a bit more liberal than most with this stuff. | /r/MensRights | 23/05/13 01:10 AM
X-post from /r/funny that sadly resonated with me this morning...I actually just ordered my first toy for that today. Not too sure what to expect. | /r/MensRights | 23/05/13 12:58 AM
"Consent to sex is consent to fatherhood" -- arguments for and againstHey, I just wanted to mention that I appreciate you coming in here and having a mature conversation. I'm still trying to get used to the idea that all feminists aren't 3rd wave, so it's doubly nice to see. | /r/MensRights | 21/05/13 02:27 PM
Feminism may be dead: 72 percent of Americans say they're not "feminists".Wow, third wave feminism really is killing feminism. I honestly can't remember the last time I heard someone refer to themselves as a feminist without clarifying 'but I don't hate men, I swear'. Because that's what feminism has turned into, hating men for nothing other than them being men. | /r/MensRights | 02/05/13 10:30 PM
My college is hosting a showing of "Girl Rising" for April Sexual Assault Awareness Month. What are your thoughts on solving third world problems through female exclusive advocacy? This may not be the popular opinion, but I really have no problem with it. If some charity wants to feed and vaccinate a few thousand kids? I'm just glad it's happening at all, even if they use a fucked up way to pick who gets the aid. Obviously it'd be better in every way if they were helping boys also. But, shit, it's not like I'm doing anything to help any of them. | /r/MensRights | 18/04/13 04:25 AM
*Exactly* how common is pedophilia? My sister is convinced that they are everywhere.Just one point I wanted to add. In order to be a risk to a child, a person would have to be both a pedophile and a rapist. There are tons of adults who are attracted to kids and teens in their fantasies, that would never dream of snatching some kid to rape. | /r/MensRights | 01/04/13 02:31 AM
| -9 | Wife Threatening Action Against me if I get a VasectomyHoly shit. Not only should you leave her abusive ass, you should have kids with some other woman, just to flaunt them to her. | /r/MensRights | 21/11/12 05:05 PM |
Does anyone else feel insulted by "#1 Tip to Prevent Rape: Don't Rape Anyone"?Because they say that. | /r/MensRights | 04/10/11 06:54 PM
Title Change for /r/MensrightsI support the change conceptually, but 9 syllables is an awful lot for a 'tagline'. For a soundbite to work, it has to be punchy enough to stick without the audience having to muddle through too much. | /r/MensRights | 28/09/11 10:18 PM
Title Change for /r/MensrightsThanks. I've found that when explaining Men's Rights to people, a lot of them have trouble grasping why it's such a big deal until I say, "It's basically fighting against sexism." That phrase has caused more than a few people to finally 'get' us, in my limited experience. | /r/MensRights | 28/09/11 10:16 PM
Title Change for /r/MensrightsI completely agree. "Anti-Equality Activists" is a ridiculously convoluted way to phrase the idea. Bigots, Sexists, Feminists, anything that's not 9 freaking syllables. | /r/MensRights | 28/09/11 10:07 PM
Send Complaint to CBS against "The Talk" Hosts for Misandric Laughter about Genital Mutilation Victim!Sent my comment just now! I also mentioned that my next emails where being sent to the advertisers during that episode, and that "while CBS may find the subject amusing, I highly doubt the companies being associated with it share CBS's views." | /r/MensRights | 17/07/11 06:09 PM
Female Guardian writer mocks death of three young male gap year students.I honestly have no idea. Is she known for hating men or something? | /r/MensRights | 02/07/11 11:15 PM
Female Guardian writer mocks death of three young male gap year students.Sure, she's a monster, okay. But why is this a Men's Rights issue? She didn't care that they were guys, she cared that they were middle class. | /r/MensRights | 02/07/11 11:02 PM
