You just said it was assumptions and lying. I don't think you can even tell whether it's sexism or not, but I'd say it is since the father controlled his wife and they favourited the boy I feel like whenever women are oppressed, everyone just says, "MeN hAvE rIgHtS tOo" to undermine the bad things happening. Because it did and I don't think you have the right to assume that her story is biased and incorrect.
