If politicians don't take lobbyists money the lobbyist will just fund someone elses campaign. With the way our media and political system is set up it is virtually impossible to run against someone who is backed by a large corporation. There is only one way to stop this and that is not to strangely and falsely put the onus on the politician.

The quicker you can exit the spotlight the less tarnished your name will be, regardless of your innocence.

if you were innocent why would You? Welcome to the media driven court system in the US. Even if they won 100% their name would be dragged through the mud for months before a verdict was reached.

While simultaneously trying to belittle and condemn someone else...

No. You can't. If you feed a dog that bites because it's nice to you, you are still responsible when it bites someone else. Freak accidents happen, that's the grey area. But if you knowingly support a group that has violent/opressive extremists you are responsible for their actions because you helped fuel their fire. It's okay if you're MRA or religious or whatever, but you need to own it. Saying, "oh no that's not my dog." When it bites, while you're feeding it a chicken wing is embarrassingly …

I answered your question quite clearly. And if you go back to my original statement you'll see that I italicized, "any group you choose to support." Your choice in supporting your country (politically) comes in the form of a political party. You are bound to your nation by it's geographical borders, but you don't support the ideals of every person in those borders. You are physically bound by your gender and race but these are things that describe you, not your ideals. You don't have to be a bla…

I support many of the people and ideas here. I believe that equal treatment, responsibility, and opportunity for all people regardless of gender or race should be a birth right. I can not fully back men's rights, nor feminism, because they are unbalanced; they represent a lack of understanding in equality so clearly that you don't even need to look past the titles. It's really easy for feminazis and sjws and incels and redpillers to turn it into a stupid whiney war. I refuse to contribute to tha…

I think that's a fair point. Why be feminist when your movement gives people like her a platform? Why not be egalitarian?

My response in another post: Talking to the parents and telling them she won't press charges if they have their children do the following: 45 hours community service of the child's choice. 45 hours working at any rehab center for the sexually abused. Example After all 90 hours are completed, a public apology, preferably video, posted on social media. At the sons discretion, a personal apology to help him feel less victimized, hopefully allowing him to move past it. Regardless of if he forgives t…

I'm not saying I disagree, I think there should be consequences. I was just answering your question about why someone would refuse to do that.

Because kids are stupid and do stupid things they will regret if you teach them why it's bad, and being put through our punitive criminal justice system is quantifiably damaging. The comment that said the girls should have the same thing done to them is disgusting. That's not going to help anyone, that would teach them it's okay to do that as long as you can justify it.

How do you figure?
/r/MensRights08/05/17 05:44 PM

In my opinion, no. Not really. If your belief system is use in a way to harm others then you need to reevaluate your beliefs. Tell me what an extreme egalitarian is. Or an extreme agnostic.
/r/MensRights08/05/17 05:41 PM

That doesn't apply to egalitarianism... there is no reason to define your beliefs in a way which align you with extremists that you disagree with. You are responsible for the actions of groups that you choose to support.

Nope, you're wrong. In most states, any threat of 'serious bodily injury' or 'grievous bodily harm' can be replied to with any force at your disposal, including deadly force, with the proviso that you did not instigate the attack. In other words, you can't throw a punch at someone, and when he takes a return swing, draw a gun and shoot him. Proportionate force isn't a thing. There were several homicides in my state last year where an individual died from a single blow to the head. Now, can you s…

This is one of those things where you're going to figure out you're wrong like a few weeks, months, or years down the road and think, "oh, shit. I am the asshole." I'm not reading any of what you wrote because I already know you're wrong. He got charged because he instigated by coming back and walking up to her. If she had attacked him out of the blue and he clocked her nothing would have come of it. It's pretty clear that in the video he approached her aggressively.

Listen man, I can't read through your entire posts because you're just wrong. Yes, if a kid attacks me I can legally hit him once as hard as I possibly can in order to get him to stop. That's the whole premise behind self defense. I could stab him to get him to stop. I just couldn't keep stabbing him. In my state, yes, I could even shoot him. I couldn't "unload" a gun on him because every shot past incapacitating him is excessive. Youre just plain wrong. This case settled out of court because it…

Lol pretty funny. But you're still wrong. Any human possesses the skills to push one finger into your eye socket. I had a friend lose an eye because some chick in a bar took a self defense class and knew how fucking easy it is to stick one finger into someone's eye. If you attack someone they are well within their right to hit you as hard as they can until you go down. That's the rule... I'm not saying I agree with how hard he hit her, I'm just saying it's not wrong of him. What would have been …

Alright, first of all, you're saying a 5 pound dog can inflict the same amount of damage as a 110 pound ape. So that's fucking retarded as shit. Second, the 110 lb ape could have taken a self defense class where they teach you how easy it is to push a straight finger into the corner of someone's eye where it will pop it out of the socket entirely.

Stopped reading at the first 2 lines because they don't make sense. A Chihuahua can not rip your throat out. Any human can take a self defense class and know how to EASILY pop your eye out of it's socket. So... No. Just everything you said... No.

So, so, so very untrue. Look at how fucking cool the world is. People tend to surround themselves with like minded people so maybe that's your problem.

I think it's really important to note that a person of any size can physically maim you by poking out your eye or ripping an ear off or stepping on your foot.

Unless she happened to have taken a self-defense class and knows how easy it is to pop someone's eyeball out just by shoving your finger in their eye socket. Every attack can be maiming. I think he was well within his right to use that amount of force but I think he escalated the situation which is really where he went wrong.

We don't know what the girl is capable of. She very well could have poked his eye out or ripped his ear off if she wanted to. He didn't continue to attack her after she was incapacitated but had every right to incapacitate her. It's easy to look back on it and be like, "whoaaa buddy, too much." Just as it would be easy to look back on it and say, "Holy shit, that guy should have knocked her out when he had the chance, now he's missing an eyeball."

She could have scratched his eye out or ripped his ear off. Both of those things are easy enough to do any adult could do it no problem, in an instant. You don't know what someone is capable of when they attack you, and you have every right to use your full power to defend yourself. I don't personally think what he did was necessary, but I do believe he was well within his right to use full force to neutralize the threat. If he had kicked her when she was down, that would be another story.

It's very likely you would not. Because dudes are more evenly matched, size be damned. Should the bigger guy have shown more restraint here? He almost hurt the lil guy with that back slam! Ha, no. You're a complete dolt if you think there is ever an argument for showing restraint before a threat is neutralized. In OPs video the girl very well could have scratched the dude's eye out. There is a very real physical threat to all parties involved in a fight like this, size or gender be damned.

He incapacitated her with one blow and did not continue to attack her once she was no longer a threat. It was one swift move that prevented imminent, unlawful physical harm. As aggressive as the dude seems, and as much as I disagree with his actions here, I believe he acted within his rights to defend himself.
