Media and government attention for the goal of action (e.g. Al Qaeda's main purpose is to get western countries to stay out of everything in the middle east, including Israel. 3	I fully expect kidnappings to escalate now that Boko Haram has established how infamous it makes them. Killing boys never caused the same outrage. There have been over 1,000 people (men, women and children) killed in Boko Haram conflict since the beginning of the year. Plus, nearly 300,000 people displaced as a result of ongoing conflict. I don't give a shit what gender they were - why the fuck does it even matter? 1,000 people lost their lives vs. 300-some people (yes, all girls) are kidnapped.
