That was honestly the most depressing part of the entire article. I was waiting for a happy ending... but nope.

Didn't Hamakua just make a point about saying "most women"....

You went to a notorious douchebag bar and the girls that drink there liked it when you were a douchebag? Wow you're really onto something there.

So this is kind of a random story but I hope it helps. I was out one night dancing with a pretty tall guy and a fight broke out right next to me out of nowhere. Two big guys throwing punches. My guy immediately swung me around and planted himself between me and the flying fists, watching them to see if he should intervene. I had to peek out from behind his decently broad shoulders. Pure awesome. I guess this is what comes to mind when I think of 'chivalry'; he was immediately concerned about my …

As a girl with lots of male friends - all decent looking, smart and funny - it takes a pretty alpha/superbly witty personality to catch my eye and make me consider more than friends. Make it happen.

Yeesh, reading this gives me a headache. You dragged out the sarcasm to the point where it was awkward, she's not a child you have to keep entertained with verbal acrobatics at every turn. And for chrissakes, don't call her out for being flirtatious, what's wrong with you? Oy...

If all you've gotten from my past posts were "you'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrong" that makes me pretty sad.

I think if you just responded to every post with you'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrongyou'rewrong it would be more honest to your intentions. I don't care how many other women you asked, if they read through that 2x thread themselves, they would probably understand. Though, I don't think you would even be able to realize if they disagreed with you since the idea of you being wrong is so bafflingly impossible to you.

You are asking people to judge you by your intentions, as opposed to your actions. I'm afraid that's impossible. If your co-worker gave you a document to edit, she shouldn't overreact. But the women of 2x did not give you their posts to edit. Either way, something tells me you will never be able to understand the difference. Your "advice" on the 2x post came off as condescending after awhile, and it's not the womens fault for not sticking around and explaining it to you, like I am. You can argue…

I have no doubt that you and your circle of friends and acquaintances have met and get along because of this. Perhaps this is an example of why that girl told you "We aren't your friends". Meaning, don't assume everyone is like you. But let me tell you, the reason you were downvoted on that 2x post and here, as well, wasn't because people thought "Ugh, that guy has an opinion, fuck him" it was "Okay, I don't like how this guy is treating me/talking to me. I feel quite patronized right now" and I…

Ok. I can understand how you would consider something that is particularly difficult for you as a restriction, but it's just how (most) women operate. It's not a hidden rule! Women aren't trying to control you, we simply won't talk to you if you just keep trying to tell us what to do. Probably some men, too. Feedback is not wrong. Unwanted opinions/advice is...unwanted. And if you give a woman advice on what she SHOULD HAVE DONE without her asking, that is unwanted. Trying to solve other people'…

I'm sorry you had such bad experiences in 2x :( I often get ripped in Mensrights which drives me away for awhile so I completely understand... Just wanted to let you know there are ladies out there who miss your input.

If you look up at my other post, you'll understand why some people have interpreted your comments on the 2x post as condescending. Being positive that you're right, no matter what, won't take you anywhere. I'm trying to give you some good advice up there!

I know, I'm starting to think the OP isn't very old. I, for one, really appreciate your comments and also believe the ban was uncalled for.

So.. ok. Calling a trait that many woman have "not a good trait at all" is a little offensive. And, no, when you tell someone a story you are NOT automatically asking for their advice. Really. I'm sorry this its difficult for you to understand, but women get a lot out of conversations even if the conversation is not a direct question/answer format. I could get into the science of the differences between male and female brains and how they intake and analyze data, but I'm pretty tired. I'm tellin…

No, you can't interpret anything as offensive. That's not true. This conversation, for example, is in no way offensive. I completely understand your view on offering suggestions. My brothers are the same way and I often have to be like "Ah! It's ok! I just want you to listen! I'll ask if I need feedback from a male perspective!" (which I often appreciate). Most women do not think the way my brothers, and most men, do. We don't always want suggestions or "you should have done"s or anything like t…

Shit, I have no idea why you were banned. I thought it was pretty cool submitting on 2x and asking about women's experiences. I know a few women had problems with you telling them what they should have done, or how they should have reacted after each post, which could be construed as blaming them or patronizing them. But it didn't seem to me like you were a bad dude. Have you asked for a reason why you were banned? I'm confused myself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
