Don’t see why it would be different, this is literally a hub for people to argue gendered issues. Anyone that considers this a fun use of time is fucked in the head in some capacity
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 06:53 PM

Childish (and late) reply but no one’s forcing you to do anything with men Happy holidays ✌🏾
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 02:08 PM

From my chats with friends (men and women irl), dating apps aren’t worth it as much anymore. I guess nowadays, it’s often treated as an extremely non committal messaging app for ego boosts. This is based on anecdotes from people early 20s to mid 30s. Best strat seems to be to work on the social circle and attend as many events irl as you can or find a group/online community of like minded individuals and dm women directly from there (as a guy). Apps could still be more worth it for women (i know…

Assuming they focus on maintaining a good level of leanness (15% or below), I generally agree. There are theories that guys on the extreme short side do start to look stubby and try hard but I still think they’re better off training hard in the gym then not (especially if they don’t have any other special qualities)

Sounds lopsided but as long as it works for you both 🤷🏾‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 09:37 PM

That’s fair, that level of inhibition and anxiousness fucks over man a lot more unfortunately. Took a lot of fake it til you make it for me to have the confidence to ask regularly (and accept rejection if it happens). If it helps, you tend to know/perceive better which girl is into you after enough experience. Just takes getting out there 🤷🏾‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 02:37 AM

I won’t insult people for eating ass (people like what they like) but fair enough, that’s probably the grossest thing involving the mouth that people do.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 02:24 AM

Personally fell out of love with casual kind of quick but I guess I can understand the fomo. What do you think is stopping you from participating in hookup culture?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 02:22 AM

It’s odd and down bad to a ludicrous degree. I agree though, assuming its clean then it’s not worse than licking anywhere else.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 02:14 AM

I do feel that going based on this sub for general insight into guys psychology is ridiculous (place skews way too neurotic and nd and asocial). That being said, I assume it’s based on how successful he is with the girls at his school. It is real crabs in a bucket but that was how it was when I was in high school a decade ago (for people of any gender).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 12:19 AM

Sounds cool but I don’t really have that admiration for the position of “cool aunt/uncle” that a lot of the internet does. It would be fun to see a niece or nephew grow up into their own person (and I would love them as I would love any family member) but I don’t really care for them looking up to me in particular
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 12:11 AM

I agree that it can be inconsistent but I do think the proportion of women that hold both positions simultaneously is a bit overblown. In my experience, a lot of them are making it clear that some level of attraction is mandatory beforehand and that personality and morality determines if things progress any further
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 12:09 AM

I do think the men here do a lot of assumptions based on their own anecdotes but there are some (not all but an adamant minority) of women explicitly stating that a good personality inherently involves a good sense of morality. I agree with you though, I think a good personality (interesting+interested, can hold a conversation and able to flirt, not inhibited to a neurodivergent degree) to most women doesn’t equate to being a boy scout
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 12:07 AM

Part of it is just you getting older (as time passes, a year is a smaller and smaller percentage of our entire life). Could also be due to any life changes (college for me felt much longer year by year but it felt like things started to speed up once I graduated, got a job, and a life routine that became much more monotonous). I’m personally glad the year is over
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/25 12:03 AM

I wouldn't be surprised but I doubt it's looked upon fondly. Its more acceptable nowadays but I think there's still a stigma for identifying as a redditor irl (compared to being on twitter, instagram, etc.).
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 11:13 PM

I’m not a woman but I’d say decrease. Yeah, the adverse health effects on women (as well as increased awareness of them) are a good part of it but the birth rates dropping are already due to a combo of increased independence among women and just the general difficulties that come with raising a kid (especially in an atomized country like the USA where parents benefits and daycare are not subsidized nearly enough). We’re already reaching a point where the poorer and less inhibited or rich and ext…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 10:22 PM

Taking this seriously: the obvious flaw here is the fact that the escort is incentivized to lie to you since you’re paying them. You’re better off measuring yourself and entering the number into a penis percentile chart online.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 08:13 PM

Unfortunately, the rage bait was too real (this does seem like something one of the more nihilistic blackpillers would genuinely say). My bad I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 07:02 PM

International men’s day is decent (at least to me, its always a good reminder to check in on the dudes I haven’t chatted with in a while)🤷🏾‍♂️ I don’t really feel that much validation knowing that men contributed so much since those weren’t my contributions. I get fighting oppression and whatnot but I also cringe similarly with women who claim that same success from their foremothers. It’s great to celebrate progress and be grateful that women aren’t second class citizens anymore but I don’t thi…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 06:47 PM

For me, it was a matter of listing out my priorities, thinking about the amount of time I want to dedicate to them daily/weekly, and forcing myself to spend time on it everyday. It’s kind of like beginning a diet. Hunger pangs are aggressive early but it’s not too bad after a couple a weeks as the body adjusts. Same with the mind, focusing on less doom scrolling and my work/more productive hobbies felt dull at first but felt like a more normal routine after a couple of weeks.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 06:41 PM

Think the porn one is individually subjective and interesting. I think the common retort from women is “Well would you be ok with me getting off to random men?” but I think enough men assume that she’s already going to have those thoughts from time to time. End of the day, its just down to people having different boundaries (a lot of women now are active gooners too so I feel like a guy watching porn regularly should be able to find someone on the same wavelength)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 06:37 PM

Yeah but anyone perpetually single who comes here to take out their frustrations probably aren’t the best as far as “dating material” goes
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 05:27 PM

I checked and that’s actually about the distance between my home and my middle school. I’m sure paranoia and the fear of stranger danger went into it but I think the main issue stopping my family from letting me do that walk regularly was winter (in the midwest, that shit was brutal from December - February). If it wasn’t for the weather, I’m sure it would’ve been fine
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 05:25 PM
7

I’ve seen it happen irl fwiw (albeit very rarely) 🤷🏾‍♂️ sometimes, the values each person holds regarding sex doesn’t match irl and it’s just better for the guy to find someone he’s more comfortable with. I don’t think its happening to the men ever-complaining here, a lot of discussion in this thread feels fueled by spite and anger at women rather than disappointment at not being able to finding someone compatible
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 03:40 PM

Its tough, I get the people who eyeroll about Diddy’s scandals, assault, and trial ultimately taking a backseat to the baby oil jokes (realistically, an uber rich hip hop mogul on trial for SAing men and women should catch headlines no matter what) but I also don’t think as many people would be aware or that tuned in if it wasn’t for the absurdity of the amount of baby oil he had on standby. I didn’t even know you could lace baby oil
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 02:00 AM

In the somewhat recent past, I would’ve said the first scenario but I genuinely don’t know what way some young zoomer men would go nowadays. Would depend on their politics (obviously seeing more conservatism from then recently) and long term goals I guess but it does seem like a lot of young men are starting to think that finding someone while younger is better than waiting to see what’s left when you’re in your 30s
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 01:40 AM

I get why you’re offended but, assuming you’re in the US or UK or similar western country whose population is staying fat or getting fatter, then there’s a decent chance they just genuinely believe that a healthy weight is what they see as normal/average. I was 200lbs with an ok amount of muscle but obviously overweight. A lot of men and women still thought I was fit / normal. Being a healthier weight or bmi will get you called skinny in most parts of the American south and midwest in my experie…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 01:03 AM

My bad, I thought you were talking about men getting those chances in the first place. If we’re just talking about exploring romance while already having someone, then yeah I could see a dude taking out some of the finer details of those scenarios and using it as inspiration
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 12:45 AM

I’ve heard the same thing about romance novels in general too and, ignoring the fact that doing most of the smut as a regular man will get you rightfully labeled a creep, a lot of these non-sexual traits and behaviors are only appealing to women in the confines of a box with very rigid context. Like yeah, you can pull some inspiration but it is probably better still to focus on the men irl who have the success you want and that share some of your same physical and mental characteristics.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 12:37 AM

The falloff is crazy with her, her fanbase was mostly (admittedly edgy) gays and women too. My schizo take is that it has to do with A) the criticism she’s received from a lot of people in her fanbase (her husband’s a rapist and registered sex offender, her brother’s serving a long sentence for SA on an 11 year old and she capes for both HEAVILY) and B) her beef with Meg Thee Stallion (Kamala and her team used her as one of the celeb endorsements, even bringing her on stage during one of the ral…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/25 12:15 AM

Yeah, I think being autistic about the studies gets you 23-26 as, generically, the most attractive bmi for men based on women’s ratings. I personally think using bmi instead of overall bodyfat percentage and overall muscle mass is pretty dumb. That being said, being at the high end of normal or a slightly overweight bmi at 15% bodyfat is probably the ideal for most men who are trying to attract AS MANY women as they can (some women will prefer twinks or bears and I’m not trying to knock their ta…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 10:47 PM

Not really a hot take, perpetually miserable people suck. I think people don’t voice that opinion because there’s an overlap between those with mental issues and those who always think their life sucks.

Men in general, sure due to societal expectations and how gendered roles have been over time. As a blanket rule over literally every man on earth? Won’t doubt your own experiences but this is probably the best time ever to find a man that can fulfill all of those aspects (although it’s still exceedingly rare and only available to some)

So they become glorified maids. Who wants their maid to stick it in every night? And why be loyal to one, ugly, maid for life? I was under the assumption in the hypothetical househusband scenario that the "maid" would be one you find sexually attractive and emotionally compatible enough to want to be loyal to forever (much in the same manner men tend to seek out housewives). I think your argument is less so one against househusbands specifically and more-so one against monogamy, in which case a …

Same could be said about your split screen pics tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 09:27 PM

How much does physical attractiveness influence first impressions versus long-term desire? Do people accurately assess their own attractiveness, and how does miscalibration affect dating choices? At what point does optimizing appearance improve confidence versus reinforce insecurity? How do beauty standards differ across genders, and who is more penalized for deviating from them? Can attraction grow meaningfully over time when initial physical chemistry is weak? What emotional needs do people mo…

I'm being more loose with the term spam but I stand behind it being weird. You're a weirdo who can't move on to a new topic. You can block me if its an issue
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 09:06 PM

I think men are less picky (especially when it comes to sex) and will, on average, find way more women attractive than the other way around (I know women take better care of their grooming and styling but I think that can only account for some of the discrepancy). That being said, most is kind of crazy. I think a lot of the arguments by pink pillers or the femcel sect are bogus but I do think they have a point with men realistically filtering out more women then they think. Dating apps are one t…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 09:05 PM

I'd still count it as spam. You're learning nothing new bro
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 08:57 PM

Thought it was a fun thought experiment at first but how long are you going to keep spamming this guy's pics on the sub? Surely you've gotten enough thoughts on the looksmatch possibilities (not to mention that it is kind of weirdo behavior to reuse the same pics this much)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 08:34 PM

Fwiw, a lot of people do with regards to some of the more ingrained gender roles (I've seen some men and a lot of pinkpillers say women not paying on the first date or being pampered with gifts is to be expected since that's how you traditionally courted decades ago). I agree that it happens much, much less than the sex work criticisms aimed at men
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 08:27 PM

I think the assumption is that most sex workers were exploited in a way that resulted in them being abused and recruited into work they aren't comfortable with. With online services, I'm under the assumption its much easier to find an escort who's self-fulfilled and not doing it out of extreme desperation. I get the logic you're going with but Johns are always going to be looked at in a much more negative life than the sex workers they pursue (most people imagine solicitors as old perverts, wome…

How do you justify that? Do you think the both of you are providing a similar amount of value to the relationship? I don't mean for that to sound crazy (I won't say he sounds like a slave like that other commenter), but I guess I don't understand what he's specifically getting out of the relationship if he's responsible for doing all that. People are happy doing different things so he very well could be happy with you but it sounds kind of exhausting based on your few descriptions
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 08:15 PM

I think its good to have conversations with a diverse range of people (young, old, multiple races and sexualities) when it comes to dating just to have a more well rounded view of how and why things look the way they do. I am a bit concerned by the amount of 30+ year olds who’ve gone off the deep end and use this sub as a sounding board for their own personal grievances when it comes to gendered topics. After a while, a lot of people get set in their ways and just come here from there incel/redp…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 05:46 PM

Actually don’t ignore it, 18 and 19 year olds count and I saw your comments. Gross 🤮

The suggested search at the bottom is frying me
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 05:25 PM

Sweet bread is ok but I do think a lot of companies go way too hard on the sugar. Much prefer to have the freedom to add on the level of sweetness that I prefer
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 03:34 PM

@ing you, Texas Roadhouse >>>>>
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 03:34 PM

Give it a couple more weeks to assess that (assuming you work in a mixed gender setting). Idk what it is but I’ve seen a lot of “unfortunate” looking dudes with good/outgoing personalities clean up in an office setting with women they work with. I think it’s due to regular proximity making the man seem safe and appealing over time (the mind has the craziest ways of forming unexpected crushes)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 02:41 PM

I honestly think it was more white-pilling for me. It’s like “I’m probably not as chopped as I think, maybe I should just put myself out there and figure out where I can succeed best at”. I get it though, dry spells or long term failure with women can wear your self esteem out no matter who you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 02:23 PM

That’s genuinely true though statistically. Not being fat, making decent money (I say decent as in above 50k since that’s not a great salary in a hcol area), and being socially capable will put you higher up than you think. And that’s not even getting into education (only a little over a third of men have a bachelor’s; A LOT of women have that has a base requirement in a partner)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 02:09 PM

From my understanding, that’s only really used nowadays for criminals (sex offenders for example) or men needing treatments for prostate cancer. I think the only real legal means of eliminating a dude’s libido would be antidepressants (and that comes with the side effect of dulling them out heavily and/or a decent amount of weight gain).

I’ll admit, enjoying going to the gym regularly is great for people that do want to get a body that’s more conventionally attractive (for me, it is genuinely addicting). That being said, was there no other physical activity you could do that you found somewhat enjoyable (like any sport, regular walks, biking, etc.) instead?

Could be pre-conceptions of the shrooms. Weed and liquor seem more tolerable in comparison. To each their own though

I don't think lots of people skip it. At least it's not as common as it was. Less common but I do think a lot of people end up getting in relationships for pretty nefarious reasons (societal expectations, thinking they won’t find better, etc). All that to say its always fun to recognize the marriages where both people genuinely enjoy each other’s company A microdose and an edible seems hardly intense to me. 🤷 But I'm just watching holiday movies and painting. Fair enough, hope you continue enjoy…

Marriage is fun when you actually like the other person. Lot of people skip that part 🤷🏾‍♂️ Shrooms and weed on the same day sounds intense though, even for a sunday

I’m not trying to cast doubt but can you tell me what different things you tried? Its anecdotal but I don’t think I’ve seen a guy go through the self improvement journey holistically (looksmaxxing and working on the social circle) and come out with zero interest from women (unless they have some of those negative qualities I listed at the end of my original post)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/25 10:18 PM

I guess this is my split with the black pill side of thinking. I think there’s enough most men can do to pull themselves up towards the top 20% (given the state of men in the current market). Being in the bottom 80% is not a permanent quality for the vast majority of the male population (minus the unlucky few sharing those characteristics at the end of my og post).
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/25 09:34 PM

That’s fair, the grind necessary can be a lot if you’re already struggling to deal with modern life. I personally thinks it worth it if you’re genuinely that upset about your dating prospects (also think getting fit, making more money, and being more socially savvy just naturally increases your enjoyment in life). Not everyone’s going to want to go that route though, i get it
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/25 09:14 PM

They are obsessed with the 80/20 rule 🤷🏾‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/25 09:01 PM

This one’s moreso for the black pill men: I get the issue and paranoia about not being in the top 20%. Genetics and neurodivergence do set a hard cap on how attractive you can be. That being said, I don’t think pushing yourself towards the top 20% with self improvement (which, tbh, just comes down to getting lean, skincare, being social, and having a good grooming/haircare routine) is impossible. Nearly 80% of men in the US are overweight or obese, median income is $50k, most couldn’t be describ…

After a month (I’m assuming a few dates and regular communication is there), it would have to be some crazy red flags (extreme politics, lifestyle mismatches, the general feeling that she’ll go hobo-sexual on me as soon as things look more long term). After a year, it would have to be a case of infidelity, long term deception (such as hiding kids or something) or becoming criminal/criminally insane. I have been turned off by women being way into things that I considered fairly vapid and boring (primarily influencer/tik tok drama and reality shows). Looks and all that were good but it did get to a point where my time spent with them felt just as interesting as paint drying and I don’t think that’s a feeling I wanted to have with a long term partner. /r/PurplePillDebate30/11/25 03:06 PM

Chad is a categorization typically based on very rigid physical criteria from autistic lookmaxxers online. From a general standpoint, a truly average man (in America that’s a fat, socially inhibited man in their late 30s who is somewhere between 5’8 and 5’11) can probably work on their looks enough to be attractive to a decent chunk of women. Once you start getting below average (whether that be height wise, facially, socially, etc), then they should still looksmax but they’ll probably have to w…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/25 03:04 PM

Using it for stray moments in public is fine enough but I feel like the obvious downside with boosters is the inevitability that the women in question will eventually see you without them on. Even if they do find you attractive with them on, I feel like the insecurity that the boosters would reveal would be enough for most to be turned off
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 05:56 PM

Issue though is that these men who indeed self improve get not even the slightest positive reinforcement that confirms that they are in the right direction. That whatever tactic they use, it’s still not good enough. Yeah but what's the alternative you suggest? It's either you do want to participate in the confusion that is the modern dating market (in which case, non stop self improvement is a possible solution to lack of romantic interest) or you don't/think it's not feasible in which case you …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 05:48 PM

I get the philosophy behind therapy as a recommendation (especially if the man in question is so obsessed with the idea of being undesired by women that it’s tanking possible development in non romantic areas of his life). I do prefer to suggest actionable ideas to men that are struggling though. For me, that basically comes down to suggesting that they improve their looks+social skills enough to be viable to someone or, for the like 5% of men that I consider perma cooked, accept that it may not…

I don’t think it’s a hot take fwiw, just a take that doesn’t drive internet engagement so it’s often ignored. I know a lot of guys that went this route, I think they’re happier off (based on what I’ve seen, not like we know what happens behind closed doors obviously). I can’t tell if its because the woman is educated or because the philosophy forced them to actually take a deeper look at the woman in general before committing (whereas someone who is more looks focused would’ve been fine with her…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 04:06 PM

I agree that taking the best out of each is probably the best philosophy to take. Hard for me to go monotheistic though. I think its because the flipside of the divine ally relationship is the fact that bad things are attributed to either your own lack of faith or a general “everything happens for a reason” idea that never made much sense to me.

Random thoughts on religion since I’m working remote again and don’t have any real work yet today: I don’t think me picking up religion again is in the cards for this lifetime. If i did though, I’m going the buddhist route or something. Seen way too many skeevy prosperity gospel preachers to feel good going back to christianity (and by extension, anything abrahamic). /r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 03:42 PM

True and I give younger me a lot of grace for being awkward but it’s easy to feel that way in hindsight. During those times, I felt like a failure for not caring a little more about putting myself out there or flexing that I could get girls like everyone else
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 03:28 PM

When I did struggle romantically, it was never an issue with making friendships (for a shut in gamer with like one extracurricular activity, it is surprising how well I did socially). I was hesitant since dating seemed like an ongoing humiliation ritual for all sides when I was in high school and that kind of made it easier to push the idea of relationships to the side (until I went to college where people seemed to actively enjoy the dating experience)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 03:10 PM

That’s fair. My cope is that I realistically could only afford 1 or 2 procedures before money becomes an issue so I wouldn’t have the chance to go full bog. I am probably better off just accepting who I am but that doesn’t appeal to the min-max obsession in me
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 03:05 PM

9 times out of 10, I agree. I’ve leaned down and gotten compliments on my face quite a bit before so I know what my strong features are and that someone can find me attractive as I am now. Still, its hard to ignore what I consider some glaring weakpoints (I’m pretty sure its not as bad as I think but dysmorphia will do that 🤷🏾‍♂️)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 02:55 PM

I hear you but I think this is reliant on the person in question being attached to people finding the “real” them attractive. I wouldn’t care about someone finding me more attractive post op since that’s the whole point
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 02:53 PM

Yeah, I commend you for being a good friend because I would just accept he’s too far gone if I was in your shoes
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 02:23 PM

Helps most guys from what I’ve seen. Won’t make you not short and not ugly (assuming you have facial issues that aren’t related to bodyfat) but it will still make you more conventionally attractive and make it easier for clothes to fit appropriately
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 02:20 PM

Yeah if I wasn’t married and was like a touch more insecure, I could see myself going the plastic surgery route assuming I did every natural looksmax I could beforehand 🤷🏾‍♂️ never was upset with people paying for pretty privilege
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 02:17 PM

Decent, hoping my job just lets me work remote this week (due to thanksgiving coming up, for any non-americans reading)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 02:15 PM

Went to your profile to check what it was. I’ve seen 5’5” guys perform well but I doubt that’s a consolation since you’ll have to work that much harder
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 06:46 PM

I like to think its never over until you’re dead but I do wonder if there’s a point where a man can hit their 30s and be too far gone for any meaningful changes to help them in the grand scheme of things. I think the most helpful advice for someone who was a shut in or recluse up to that point is to 1) get more attractive (which, fair enough, I don’t think most guys are so clapped that they’ll never find someone who likes them after working on their looks a little) and 2) spam social interaction…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 05:08 PM

Yeah that’s tough. There’s always some dude just ready to go full gooner/sex-pest in public. Sounds pretty miserable to deal with, hope you don’t have to deal with that too often
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 05:05 PM

Never heard of it but it looks interesting! I know goodreads is amazon associated and way more concerned about reviews so I might give storygraph a shot
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 04:56 PM

Do you have any goals that you’ve been working on lately? Even if its only been a month or even a week for the specific thing, taking a look back at how you’re better now could give you the motivation to look onward
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 04:55 PM

Always wanted to ask (based on your username), what makes you think you’re unloveable specifically? I know some shorter guys that do great in the dating market/life but I never realized that they probably did have to add an extra bit of effort to get to that point
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 04:54 PM

Also nice that reading can help you “de-brainrot” in a way. I would suggest making a personal note or goodreads account for keeping track of the books you read
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 04:52 PM

Cheated on a barber for the first time in ages. Didn’t feel too bad since I’ve only been going to him a couple of months and the haircuts were mid (as someone that has only gotten more autistic about improving my looks, i can’t ignore how much a haircut changes the overall look and perception of my face). New barber is great, i understand why people with a little more income go in for a weekly touch up
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 04:46 PM

Same, my main goal now is just to get enough seniority to afford a great work-life balance. Never felt better than when I worked remote fully and was able to use the extra free time to self improve and work on myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 01:24 AM

I can believe it, you never know how someone will react to the job stuff due to gender roles and possible personal insecurities. I think age is a more concrete answer here though (i feel both genders are judged in interesting ways for it but it tends to affect women more negatively I think)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 12:03 AM

The chance to get a longer break, it feels like work is always around the corner lately
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 10:37 PM

Voice and height come into it I’m sure but I think race, facial beauty, and hair are judged more often (as well as body type/frame/body fat distribution). End of the day, for the vast majority of people, both mutable and immutable characteristics will come into play when trying to finding a partner. All you can do is focus on what you like in a person and do your best to find the people that like you (and not get hung up at not meeting someone else’s criteria, there’s no guarantee they would’ve …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 10:36 PM

Usually comes down to a lack of enthusiasm and a lack of communication. I don’t think getting off is the end all be all to good sex (its obviously a big plus and a good goal to aim for) as long as both people are mutually attracted to each other and deriving some enjoyment/fulfillment from the acts at hand
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 05:33 PM

Yeah, all the alpha widow/stacy widow talk here just feels like a lot of focus on the worst cases of people not understanding how to move on with their life. I try to have respect for people and their limerence or whatever but it does read as immature if you’re still that obsessed over someone who likely won’t be part of your life ever again
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 05:18 PM

Thanks!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 04:42 PM

Never played Hades but the characters look cool!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 04:25 PM

I got a korean spf water gel that did work really well but it wasn’t that much better than regular sunscreen. Then again, I prefer going the affordable, high roi route for most of my hobbies so a minimalist skincare routine (cleanser, sunscreen, tret, and moisturizer) works for me
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 03:42 PM

It’s that + a combination of having social skills that people generally enjoy (being funny, a good conversationalist, etc.). Being upfront and honest about your intentions is good but it still could come across “sex pest-lite” if that’s all there is to the interaction
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 03:38 PM

Another year, another birthday weekend over (maybe, I still might get a few more drinks in today but I did a good amount of celebrating already). I don’t think my life circumstances changed too much over the year but it is good to be grateful and to look back to see how I was able to improve over time
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/25 03:23 PM

Everyone has their own limits on that sort of thing. For me, its only when they either become 1) arrogant about it to the point they feel the need to tell others what they should be doing (I know a guy that went on a spiel about everyone’s macro splits over dinner for example) or 2) obsessed to the point where fitness becomes their sole focus and source of enjoyment in life. I’m not opposed to having a passion for health and fitness, everyone should have a little enthusiasm about the well being …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:54 PM

Think I’ll go hard on self improving the social skills a bit more. I’m at least average in that department (I’m a pretty good listener and don’t really struggle in conversations or communicating) but I do think it would help me professionally to learn a little more. Split between getting a part time sales job or joining a toastmasters chapter 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:42 PM

I guess it depends how ugly and in what regard? I think disabilities or deformities are a different case but I’ve seen some unfortunate looking dudes just play up the comedy angle even more to pretty good success (some would say they’re overcompensating but being an ugly funny dude is kind of a time honored tradition at this point)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:22 PM

When I was on the market, it really just required some base compatibility (having the same general goals for the future, having a similar idea on what makes an ideal partnership) and vibes/chemistry (do i like her, did she seem to like me, did the date feel like a mutual fulfilling experience). I’m sure a lot of people have an awestruck, love at first sight experience during first dates but I tried to be realistic since I don’t think one date is going to reveal everything about what a potential …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:13 PM

I’m know some people prefer it due to them sleeping better with more space for themselves or they’re dealing with a snoring partner or something like that. I personally wouldn’t want to do it though
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/25 02:44 AM

That would radically change how the users here approach their response
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 10:50 PM

I don’t believe he says that either. I can understand having that general philosophy of looking for peace > money in a partner but it does feel dumb to verbalize that rather than just living in your principles and acting accordingly
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 10:39 PM

I only really wear my glasses consistently at work (it makes me seem more professional, doesn’t help that I have a bit of an intense look). Otherwise, I only really wear them if I feel they would make a good accessory for the day
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:51 PM

I already did it of my own volition some years ago. If I was regularly consuming porn and my SO was insecure, I would stop it (assuming I felt that I could make similar requests to her due to my insecurities)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 04:33 PM

Finally going to a tailor soon for some pants alterations. The only real negative of my initial weight loss was how quickly a lot of my wardrobe became unusable (sucks since I’m also more fashion conscious now)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 03:24 PM

Not bad, how are you?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 03:22 PM

I’d be bros with Charlie but I don’t think I would try to set him up with any single woman I know
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 02:35 AM

Based reasonable take, too many guys acting like they have to accept anybody that comes along instead of developing a backbone and some self esteem
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 02:34 AM

LLMs are already semi-notorious for using reddit as study material. It is easier to ignore a lot of this site’s content (especially on very mainstream subs such as aitah) with that in mind
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 02:07 AM

Already reached out to the men who I haven’t heard from recently. Other than that, not much tbh. It’s a weekday so I didn’t really have the time or opportunity to properly volunteer today
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 02:04 AM

Yeah, sometimes people just have experience the L on their own (I know a lot of guys who tried to max out the materialism angle with women and it almost never ended well). He’ll be back to tell us about it anyways
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 01:27 AM

Diabolical but that is probably the strat (outside of moving on, obviously) since he’s dealing with a sugar baby
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 01:03 AM

Fair enough. I feel there’s enough evil in the world if you are genuinely trying to fight for good or make a difference
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 12:20 AM

Fighting a war on behalf of rich men while continuing to justify their own excesses was always a dumbass way to live. Obviously as a fantasy I get it but I think having the freedom to determine your own meaning is way better than having politicians or the clergy determine that meaning for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 12:17 AM

Obesity has gone down for the first time in a while here but it’s still pretty high. I think obesity rates for women were 38% and 35% for men. Couldn’t tell you overweight rates but I think it’s similarly close.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 12:15 AM

Got into drawing a while back. I’m nowhere near what I would call “good” yet but it’s a fun hobby and it is surprising how much progress you can make with a dedicated amount of time per week. I want to really perfect the fundamentals of art before moving on to painting or abstract drawings
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 12:09 AM

Pretty much this. Adding to that, a woman can run into creeps via either avenue but the apps allow for her to make a more active decision in that regard whereas an irl approach puts a lot of onus on the women to be cautious and more careful (even if most men approaching don’t pop off due to a rejection, enough do that it probably sours the woman’s experience with it for a while)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 10:27 PM

This is my second non-remote position ever (my first job out of college was in person but then the pandemic hit so I was remote more times than not). I miss being able to sleep more due to the lack of commute, complete my work early and focus on my hobbies/self-improvement, and go to the gym or run errands at more flexible times. Only thing I really “like” about being in office is the fact that it forced me to get better at communicating in a variety of situations. That and it’s much easier to n…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:04 PM

My best guess is that, to incels and blackpillers, the willingness to participate in more kinky acts is an indication of that woman’s desire for the man. A lot of the times women eventually learn they don’t like doing that stuff but I can imagine that would result in insecurity from a less confident guy (why would she do it with others but not me? is it because I’m not attractive enough?)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:53 PM

Checked in on the guys in my life who I haven’t talked to in a while just to make sure they’re doing good

When I was still dating it was for love, companionship, and a fulfilling romance that I feel is only possible through strong mutual attraction (physically and mentally) as well as common life goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:30 PM

I think women are often shallow too but that doesn’t mean relationships like this are impossible. Once a guy’s fully doomer and blackpilled though, it’s almost impossible for them to stay optimistic about relationships like this happening
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 01:28 PM

There’s plenty of people in all ages and demos available but people are flakey (from what I hear, I moved to this city after getting married). The city is still pretty big on nightlife but I think clubbing culture is slowing down everywhere in general (never really made sense to me as a guy if you’re trying to maximize your chances at dating, clubbers usually aren’t ltr-minded and you’ll just end up spending way more money than if you just took a few people out to dinner or do literally any othe…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 01:25 PM

I agree that men should but that would come with the risk of accepting being single for a while longer before a relationship that is genuinely mutually beneficial comes up (for a guy that has been solo, sexless, and lonely for a long time, convincing them that raising their standards is the move is almost impossible in my experience). Even beyond that, I just think raising their standards and finding fulfillment elsewhere is a much more dignified and emotionally healthy way to live anyway. Letti…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:27 AM

Yeah, fair enough. I do think the bar for a relationship is a lot lower for a lot of guys (often, it’ll come down to she’ll have sex with me and she doesn’t actively dislike me) when it probably should involve a bit more introspection, and quite frankly, self esteem + standards. To love and be loved for who you are is a wonderful thing but I think a lot of dudes kind of assume that being loved is out of the cards so they may as well settle for being somewhat desired. That’s why the women’s persp…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 03:19 AM

I’m leaning yes. Got any examples of these white lies?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:52 AM

Yeah and I know everyone is “cringe” at some point but they are near the top of that scale
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:18 AM

I agree about how quite a lot of men gloss over how women may be more sexually desired but don’t have the easiest time finding a fulfilling relationship. I think their skewed perspective is based on the fact that there’s a higher chance that a random, “average” guy will have to put in a lot more effort into finding both a sexual partner and someone who actively wants to be in a relationship with them. I genuinely think a lot of these lonely men wouldn’t mind being used like a sexual object, even…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 02:16 AM

Don’t know if this is an ageist take but is anyone else turned off by the 40+ year olds adopting incel/pill-sphere lingo? Like, a woman that old talking about all men do is pump and dump or a man complaining about 80/20 dating dynamics just kind of screams immaturity in a way that I can only really let slide for someone much younger
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 01:01 AM

Whenever social media addiction became the norm and not the exception? Looks like everyone got significantly more neurotic once spending a significant chunk of time behind a screen became normalized (this is my best guess though as a zillenial, by the time I was a freshman in high school everyone had a smartphone so you could already kind of see where things were going)

I guess it depends what you want out of the discussions here? If you specifically want advice for dating, then there’s only so much you can be recommended that isn’t already better laid out elsewhere (looksmax, learn to communicate/be fun/less inhibited, self improve in other aspects of life, put yourself out there more, all advice given on a regular basis on better subreddits and forums). If you’re debating the differing struggles of dating between the sexes, then there’s a decent chance that a…

I know suggesting hobbies is mocked often in the cel-sphere but I have always thought it was a decent suggestion. That is part of the reason why fitness is recommended so often to men with low self esteem. Will it change everything completely and make you more attractive to the opposite sex? Maybe, maybe not. I think it helps most people become more conventionally attractive but everyone has their opinions. However, consistently hitting goals and committing to something like that long term does …

I agree but I think we all have different opinions on how short a guy has to be for this type of surgery to be worth it (assuming a safer 2-3 inch increase, larger increases would both cost more money and handicap you much longer with recovery)

The cons of leg lengthening surgery are brutal but I understand why it’s tempting for some dudes at a certain height. What I don’t get are these people going for eye color surgery. All that pain just to look like you have very bad contacts in is insane. The contacts would’ve been much cheaper too!

I think arranged marriage stats have long term “success” but that’s usually due to the 2 people being raised culturally in a society that embraced that style of marriage. Realistically, you should probably use both logic (does this person seem like someone compatible with my long term goals and vision, do we mesh well on a daily basis and do I actually enjoy their company) and affection (do I find them hot+sexy or would I be upset being stuck with them for the rest of my life)

I think the women’s saying is often in relation to someone getting into a relationship with specific individuals like ravers for example. Wearing skimpier clothing and going to underground raves is something that will probably continue to be part of her life regardless of relationship status. You can communicate specific boundaries you would like her to have but it’s probably just better to take the situation for what it is and decide if you want to be dealing with that long term or not. I get the temptation to hop on trt like every other terminally online gym bro but I feel like a lot of the incels / looksmaxxers I’ve seen discuss it overlook the effects of that shit on your face. Looks and personality both matter. Personality matters more in terms of a long term, healthy relationship but having mutual attraction as well is obviously the ideal. I don’t think most people want to be in a relationship with someone who finds them unattractive or even mid, even if compatibilities exist elsewhere. I do think there can be caps to how good anyone can look due to genetics (assuming we’re ignoring plastic surgery), but most people can probably improve looks-wise enough to get inter…

I do think a lot of men here would be better off accepting that they won’t be for everybody (just as everybody won’t be for them) and moving on quickly. She’s rude but it saves you more wasted time. Some incels or men with no luck dating might see it as me just telling them to get over it (since I kind of am) but its better than the alternative of making yourself more bitter and thus more unviable

First learned about porn around 12 years old and I’m now in my late 20s. I stopped years ago for a few reasons. I just didn’t think where was a healthy “one and done” approach to porn for me to take when it came down to it (though that could be me having an addictive personality). I was with my then gf (now wife) and, very early on, I felt that consistent porn usage would get in the way of me performing sexually (harder to be present, occasional death grip issues). I think most people start seeing signs of fine lines in their mid 20s but more deep set wrinkling doesn’t strike until around the late 30s. This is based on a conversation I had with one dermatologist though (she also said it is delayed for most people that regularly use sunscreen and a retinol).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 04:00 PM

I’ve accepted that I’ll have to tip 20% min to be seen as a not bad man when dining out, I get that. That being said, the amount of restaurants near me automatically starting gratuity at 15% for to go orders is insane. Another reason to just cook at home and leave eating out for special occasions.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/25 11:44 PM

I don’t doubt people that say it but I don’t think I’ve ever related to someone who says they’re touch starved (even at my most isolated). At worst, I was bored and lonely since I had no one to communicate with but I don’t think that feeling specifically extended to craving physical contact. Only thought about this because I’ve seen multiple people mention going to masseuses to get over that feeling and thought about how odd that would be from my perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/25 11:38 PM

Sheesh, it really is crazy to see how locked in people were to a “type” before deciding an ltr was worth it. I’m sure maturing and evolving tastes has to do with it but it does always feel sketch to me when someone says that they would have never went for their partner in the past (at least on a looks basis)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/25 11:09 PM

Lol, general studies majors are my vote since they usually consisted of the people who had no real passions or interests at my university besides getting a degree. Communication majors are a close second. Business majors never were boring to me, they just seemed like self-interested social climbers at worst
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/25 11:02 PM

Could be a combo of hustle culture and just our current time period (living in an extremely atomized society where a good chunk of men are giving up and accepting a bleak outlook on life, especially with regards to dating). This and working on the social skills (especially important for the nd-guys here) is like 90% of the battle. After that, it comes down to putting yourself in a position to find dates. I’m probably more optimistic than the average piller here though but I do feel like most men could move up the looks-scale enough (at least 2 points if starting from scratch unless they’re extremely ugly or extremely short which are both rare). Hard to tell since their writing is so schizo but I think they’re trying to say that the woman is unattractive to him. So, despite the other compatibilities, it wouldn’t work out. That and some shit about what men and women value differently

I do think there’s some truth to the incels’ therapy wariness since it isn’t always the best experience for everyone (but especially for men). Dropping the doomerism, gaining some social skills, and getting more attractive (usually by losing weight, wearing well fitted clothes, and grooming appropriately for american dudes) will save most from full blown inceldom

The social commentary was good but I think the body horror elements were ever better. Makes sense that it won best makeup at the oscars

Depends on why I'm jealous. If it's something I consider a reasonable concern, then I'll communicate my issues. Otherwise, for unreasonable paranoia? Workout hard, practice some mindfulness, and throw myself into hobbies that encourage growth/hitting goals.

I still haven’t seen any man go from the average american bmi to <15% bodyfat and not have more options fwiw (I think its a combination of being more conventionally attractive and newfound confidence that comes from hitting your goals)

Folks that constantly go on about people that they find unattractive or mediocre are big weirdos tbh. Kind of screams immaturity and lack of fulfillment irl I also think a lot of people are going at her specifically for who she’s married to though, a lot of those terminally online right wingers judge women on the left as a hobby

Going to sleep earlier and accepting that my mornings would suck for a bit. I still consider myself more of a night owl but getting up early stopped sucking after about a week (at this point, I was used to my new sleep schedule and relatively proud of what I’ve been able to do by getting up earlier)

Unattractive people of either gender get pissed about this because it feels unfair to them (even though their own standards often would exclude themselves). Its more prevalent with the men here since they skew more -cel than the women here but its not like “all men are hypocrites who only like bitchy bimbos” isn’t prevalent in femcel communities

I hear you. My outlook in the past probably isn’t as bleak as yours but I knew that I wanted to be fully moved out of my family’s home when college ended (even if staying longer meant saving a little more money). That freedom to me was priceless

Neck training has become more prominent in the more autistic sections of the looksmax community. Anything to get ahead I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 06:17 PM

I must be dumb as hell. What would qualify as a woke guilty pleasure?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 05:47 PM

If it helps, being a failson (a failchild really) is something that’ll bite him in the ass if he’s like 30+ with no real discernible skills (professionally or socially). Sorry you have to deal with the hypocrisy though

I’d be down, would be fun seeing some opinions from the more neurotic of us here

Honestly, hair is one of those things that I think gets underrated on the male side of attractiveness ratings. Even if it’s a mid haircut, I think people will still be more generous with the ratings assuming your hair is clean and thick enough. From what I’ve seen, it goes:, well styled head of hair > ok head of air > bald > balding > very unkempt hair That’s just been my experience though, a full head of hair is one of those things that has carried me looks wise quite a bit

Went to Colorado recently (Denver and a few towns outside the city). Tried to pay attention to height to see how mogged I feel but I honestly did feel bang average around the state. Compared to Texas, there were definitely a few more tall, slendermen-esque builds here and there but those were still massive outliers. Fitness on the other hand was insane to see. It was genuinely rare to see someone obese but most of the towns were very accommodating to pedestrians and bikers so I could see how mai…

Some of it could be cope but beauty is one of those tough topics that has elements of objectivity and subjectivity in it. You could just be doubtful because you’re insecure about your looks and unable to understand why someone might find you attractive.

I finally got into reading as a hobby and enjoy it. The problem is that all the book clubs near me are now aimed towards self insert smut aimed at women. No issues if you like that but it’s looking like i’ll either have to start my own group or install discord (🤮) again

Between this comment and one of your previous ones, you make gift shopping for your partner sound much more fulfilling than when I do it. Both my wife and I have birthdays coming up and neither of us have a fucking clue what we want 🤦🏾‍♂️

I (and most of the internet) always had a low opinion of men that went hard on the “2d waifu > 3d women” mentality and I don’t see why I shouldn’t think the same of women that do this too. That being said, I can understand not wanting to be with someone whose effort drops to near zero. Relationships should involve mutual attraction and reciprocal simping

Comparing this to the ever evolving manlet cutoff chart is hilarious

For work: I keep a general task list together with the highest prioritiy stuff at the top. I never leave work without updating it again to have it ready for the next day. I also use a version of the pomodoro technique (50 minutes working, 10 minute breaks, rinse and repeat at least 4 times). For errands and chores around the house: I usually spend a good chunk of Sunday buying groceries, meal prepping, and cleaning around the house. Used to be much easier when I worked remote since I could use m…
