You give your all, but it's just not enough for some people.

Of course. It's weird. Even when her new boyfriend dumped her, I felt sorry for her... and angry at him!

Oh, dude... So sorry you went through that. Being "Johnny on the spot" is exhausting! It crept up on me, being a gentleman, of course, I wanted to do everything I could to make and keep her happy. I was so in love. I began to accept things that were outrageous as totally normal. FOR TWENTY YEARS! Freedom has never felt more free. We're still going through the separation and divorce process, but... in the end, all I'll owe her is money, and I won't be her slave anymore. Did your partner have that…

It's terrifying. Makes me question everything we've ever been through.

Take off the ring. Ladies notice this. Even if you're not ready, a little positive flirting goes a long way for your self esteem and ego.

Thanks everyone. My brother also lost his wife of 30 years around the same time due to an unexpected death. Through him I've learned that grief is grief, and it's just a thing that you have now. What I do with it... is my process. I'm also terrified of my financial future. I used to be proud of being a sole breadwinner in California...lol. She refuses to get a job, and I'm screwed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
