Just got into contact with my dad- i have daddy issues. My dad was an alcoholic and my mom was the type of person to stay with and have kids with an alcoholic. My childhood was very messed up and I’ve had to sort myself out because of it. But I still wouldn’t define myself as having “daddy issues”. Everyone has their tragedies in life but that doesn’t mean you’re defined by them. One day you’ll have to accept and mourn the fact you didn’t have a dad. Not just because he left you but because he was not a dad (even if he had stayed). It really sucks. E… | /r/RedPillWomen | 07/12/21 02:18 AM
Feeling shameWe bought a house in October (feels like yesterday) and we have an almost seven month old baby (also feels like yesterday 😭) and we’re all getting over some virus. Needless to say our house isn’t looking too great...my husband went from saying “it looks better every day” to “it looks better every week” ahahaha goodness. Just take it one piece at a time. Some days I just get maintenance done (laundry, dishes, dinner) and some days I really make progress unpacking or cleaning. But we’ve all been t… | /r/RedPillWives | 06/12/21 08:39 PM
How much childcare should I expect my husband to do?I can’t imagine doing any classes while looking after a baby, it must be stressful. Right now my girl is over six months old. I don’t think I require as much “alone time” as most people (but maybe that will change as she gets older?). I like going for walks with her in the stroller. She usually snoozes and I get to zone out and take in some nature and sunlight. Usually she’s getting up from a nap when my husband comes home and he’s happy to watch her while I cook dinner. On the weekends I let hi… | /r/RedPillWomen | 21/11/21 09:27 PM
How much childcare should I expect my husband to do?Yes, this. My husband was/is still nervous doing certain baby things. I usually leave the room to let him find his own way. And give him tips if he asks. It can be hard, if you’re with the baby all day, not to take over all responsibilities. But dad needs some baby time too. I don’t want him to feel like he missed out on all the baby days because he works. | /r/RedPillWomen | 21/11/21 09:06 PM
EyebrowsI shortened the tail of my brows by maybe a centimeter (kind of a lot, I know) and it de-ages you or something. I guess it makes your face a lot lighter because your brows don’t have that downward motion? I don’t normally wear makeup but my husband thought I had put some on lol | /r/RedPillWomen | 15/11/21 10:28 PM
A Love Letter to the SundressGosh those men talking about why they love dresses is so wholesome. My husband always gets handsy when I’m wearing a dress lol. I bought a bunch of long dresses right before it got cold. I find them so comfortable and feminine. I’d be happy ditching all my pants at this rate. | /r/RedPillWomen | 15/11/21 06:40 PM
Fostering protective instincts with ppd?Yes! I did a lot of research before trying it. Much better than falling asleep with her on the breastfeeding pillow over and over agin. | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/11/21 04:19 PM
Insecure with my bodyIf he pointed out one of his insecurities to you would you begin to focus on it like that? He’s seen your boobs before. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing you can say to him to make him not like them. Especially if he already compliments them. | /r/RedPillWomen | 04/11/21 08:42 PM
Fostering protective instincts with ppd?I know people feel strongly about this so if it’s not for you please just ignore my comment. But cosleeping really saved me in those early weeks. I get lots of sleep and I’m still breastfeeding every two hours (less frequently at night) six months out. Cosleeping and going to bed really early. When I wasn’t sleeping the anxiety was just mind numbing. Aside from that maybe you could ask him to help you in specific ways. Or say “I need you to take some things off my plate” and see how he chooses t… | /r/RedPillWomen | 04/11/21 05:07 PM
Insecure with my bodyChances are he doesn’t care. As long as you’re naked and willing I’m sure he’s happy. But as long as you care it’ll be a problem. Overthinking and sex don’t go hand in hand. Maybe talk to him about this? Let him know he’s going to have to really wow you in bed to take your mind off your insecurities. After having a c-section I’m not happy with my stomach. I told my husband this and all he did was smile and say “it’s so soft”. Men really tend not to care about these things. | /r/RedPillWomen | 04/11/21 04:49 PM
How often do you have sex with your boyfriend/husband?At least once a week but wish it were more. We have a little six month old now and I have no idea how to get back into things. What do y’all do with your babies? | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/11/21 08:35 PM
How often do you have sex with your boyfriend/husband?I stay home too and my husband worked from home for a year because of covid. Man, that was a good year 😂 | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/11/21 08:31 PM
Thoughts on homeschooling? My husband and I both went to school to be teachers...and we plan on homeschooling. The reason they’re teaching crazy stuff in schools these days is because colleges are teaching the would-be-teachers that stuff. That beings said we moved somewhere with great schools just in case homeschooling doesn’t work for whatever reason. There are also supplemental classes you can enroll in. Our zoo does some nature learning preschool classes. You could check out stuff like that in your area. | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/11/21 09:24 PM
I hope one day I can hold my newborn in my arms..No, no, I know we’re a family. And I would choose her over anything. I hope I didn’t come off as ungrateful. Seeing parents and siblings running around together at the park made so sad because I can never give her that. My husband grew up an only child and didn’t want that for her. But I can see how that’s selfish in some ways. I’m very grateful for our family and we’ll do the best to make sure she has other kids to grow up with. I wish you all the best in the future. | /r/RedPillWomen | 31/10/21 05:19 PM
I hope one day I can hold my newborn in my arms..Thank you ❤️ I wasn’t prepared for how bad seeing other families would hurt. I cried at the park a few weeks ago after seeing three different families with multiple kids running around 😂 goodness. I really hope you get to experience pregnancy. And surrogacy, if you have to, is worth the cost (there are loans for it that don’t impact your credit). Being pregnant in your thirties wasn’t in your plans but its definitely doable. | /r/RedPillWomen | 31/10/21 05:01 PM
I hope one day I can hold my newborn in my arms..I can completely empathize with these feelings. I had my daughter in May. During labor my uterus ruptured and we both almost died. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy. Me and my husbands plans were to have at least three kids since we both come from small families. I wanted so badly to have a brood. I desperately want at least one sibling for her. But it probably will never happen. It feels like mourning every future child I could’ve had. I had no idea I’d never be pregnant again. I barely t… | /r/RedPillWomen | 31/10/21 04:33 PM
I feel scared when I think about the future with my fiance. This might be an unpopular way to approach the sex issue but it’s worked for me so here it goes. When we got engaged our sex life was almost non existent. I was never in the mood and he always was. It was creating a lot of stress between us and I thought we were going to break up because of it. The main thing we did was set “date nights”. Basically scheduled sex at a weekly interval (because that’s the longest he can go without it before going kooky lol). Nowadays if we get off track we’ll start… | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/10/21 07:35 PM
How to fix relationship after halfway nuking it with jealousyIt would bug me too and I’ve been there with the jealousy. My solution was to cut wayyy back on any social media. If a lady was trying to get my husbands attention online I wouldn’t know about unless he told me. And I’m MUCH happier like this. I think women tend to overthink things when it comes to profile pictures, comments, etc... but men, in my experience, don’t put much meaning into them. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/10/21 03:14 PM
How to fix relationship after halfway nuking it with jealousyIt sounds like you’re putting way too much value in social media. You need to either accept him as he is and apologize or move on. If you trust him to be faithful then things other girls say on social media shouldn’t bug you. You can’t control these things. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/10/21 02:47 PM
How do I peel myself off the wall?I have rosacea. I would not recommend dermorolling. I can’t believe you did a chemical peel. Go to a dermatologist. They can recommend a treatment for you. I recommend cerave and cetaphill products for moisturizer and face wash. Some people use sulfur soap to treat it with good results but again I’d say talk to a dermatologist first. Usually if you have rosacea the fewer products the better. For some people water is enough to irritate the skin. | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/10/21 02:23 PM
How do I stay slim in this household? Has anyone had problems with compulsive eating?Maybe look into counting calories. Knowing how many calories you need a day to maintain weight or loose weight gives you power. You don’t have to be neurotic about it and eventually you’ll be able to guesstimate. You can even get a cheap little food scale off amazon. If counting calories is too much for you (I think it’s a pain in the butt when you cook a lot) you could try intermittent fasting. It’s one of the only things that lets my husband loose weight. That being said, gaining some weight a… | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/10/21 02:08 PM
Uplifting himYes! We are very fortunate and one day she’ll be begging to play games with daddy 😭 | /r/RedPillWomen | 18/10/21 05:32 PM
Uplifting himThis is such great advice! I like to “let” him play video games to relax and blow off steam. Which just means don’t complain or nag him about playing games lol. He likes it when I chill and watch him play. Sadly I don’t get to as much now that we have a little baby. | /r/RedPillWomen | 17/10/21 09:20 PM
“Do things feel different now that you’re married?” …yea they kinda doI married my high school boyfriend after being together for 9 years and even living together for 6 years. He and I both agree it feels different. People used to say we’re “practically married“ when they’d find out how long we’ve been together. But now that it’s official things just feel different. More serious and secure in a good way. It’s hard to describe. | /r/RedPillWomen | 15/10/21 04:54 PM
