Just to find and talk to more women like me.

Beef stew is always great. I like to eat it for breakfast sometimes too! It’s nice and hearty for winter ❄️

Well I’m considering moving somewhere like Waterloo area, Guelph etc. Because it’s a lot cheaper. I mean there are areas in Toronto where it isn’t as expensive as like High Park or something but it’s still hard.

If you want to attract a great man in Toronto, you need to be his match. Trust me, you will probably have a hard time being a SAHM in Toronto unless you marry a very wealthy Bay St. man who has his shit together. And seeing as it sounds like you haven’t gotten your shit together yet, that’s highly unlikely. You think one of those men is going to want a layabout? No. They want a woman who knows how to cook, dresses well, is educated and can raise his children and run his house. Start small - mayb…

But I did think agreeableness has some bearing on political values?

I think there is a lot of truth to what you have said. Yes, women tend to be drawn toward socialism because it is the more compassionate ideology. But I do think that much more than femininity correlates to conservatism. For example, if you take Jordan Peterson’s personality test, he correlates different personality traits to political ideologies. For example, people who are high in agreeableness tend to lean left. On average, women tend to be more agreeable than men. So it makes sense, but I ju…

It sounds like your mom might be projecting her insecurities onto you. Maybe she felt she wasted away her youth? Did she get married young? Or did she regret not sleeping around more? I think you just need to have pride in the way you choose to lead your life. Clearly she has a backwards idea of how young women are supposed to behave, which is the ideal perpetuated by the crooked media. Also, telling you that you need psychological help? That's a pretty low blow considering you're doing the best…

Have you tried more of a paleo diet? A lot of peoples’ acne is related to food sensitivities and/or glucose intolerance. That could also explain your belly as well. Try cutting out sugar, simple carbs, limiting complex carbs and eating mostly a diet of meat and veggies.

I definitely agree that when women don’t show much interest, it’s either because they’re pursuing an alpha and you’re their back-up, or because they genuinely aren’t sure about you yet. Let me ask you this - are you being clear in your intentions? Are you asserting your dominance by being decisive, and in control? Because if not, this could explain why a woman would be unenthusiastic.

I think because he always sees his parents get into bad fights, he doesn’t want the same for us so he just avoids conflict altogether. I’m the same way really.

If it’s on the darker side it will be very hard to go ash brown without bleaching it first - trust me, I learned the hard way. Unless you dye it a darker colour you won’t be able to get the same level with an ashy tone. See a hair dresser - they’ll know what to do!

How light is your hair? You could try toning it to a more ashy blonde.

Is it bad that it’s been over 4 years and we’re still in the honeymoon phase and haven’t had any major fights? We both try to avoid conflict and talk things through. I’ve heard it’s unhealthy to not fight in a LTR. Is this even true?

Another way might be to keep a minimalist household. Look into ways you can consolidate or get rid of the stuff around you to make tidying up easier. Organize things that get left out into bins, get furniture with hideaway compartments, and just minimize the amount of stuff you own. I guarantee it will make your life so much easier.

We are planning on having a cheap wedding. The thing is, I want to get married ASAP and start having babies. But we can’t do that unless we have a house.. but if we get a house it’s going to take a while longer for us to save up to get married and have our first child. It’s like a chicken-egg problem. I’m almost considering just living in an apartment for a bit, getting married and then getting a house. I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️

It sounds like you could use some extra help around the house to take the stress off yourself and your husband. Would it be possible for a family member to stay with you and help out until the baby is born? Or if you are unable to get a family member to help you out, could you get a nanny or a housekeeper?

It sounds to me like you need to take on a new responsible role which will give your life some purpose and structure right now. While I’m not a huge fan of Jordan Peterson anymore, he does make a good point that life is suffering and you need to take on responsibility and focus on small successes to find meaning in the suffering. I don’t think you’re ready for a relationship yet if you feel this way. Do all the simple things first - make sure you are taking care of yourself and nourishing your b…

What about seeing a sex therapist? I know it may seem strange or might be difficult for you to convince him that he has a problem, but it really sounds like he has porn addiction. It’s actually a dangerous thing for men because he’s screwed up his dopamine reward system from watching porn rather than having sex in real life. I can attest to this because a couple years ago my boyfriend was obsessed with watching porn. But he has made a real effort to stop and it has really improved his sex drive.…

I had this same problem. But he told me that he is far more focused on creating a life for us and building a family with me and doesn’t care as much about having sex for pleasure because of this. Is it possible your man is trying to do the same thing?

In my opinion, it seems to be the little things that show you are wife material. Are you an excellent cook/baker and enjoy making him meals? Do you love holding his friends’ or family member’s babies? Or say “aww” at all the babies you see while walking on the street? Do you put his needs above the needs of your own? Are you put together and care what his family thinks of you? Do you bring food or gifts to his family’s gatherings? All these little things signal to him, without a doubt, that you …

That’s very interesting. Maybe you’re right - he doesn’t want to worry himself with the small things because he’s too focused on the bigger things.

Thank you so much! I think you are totally right. I shouldn’t try to force him to fit the ideal I have in my head. I need to just communicate to him better and hope that he will take what I am saying more seriously and think about how he can be less passive and more of a captain.

I think this post just answered my question. I was under the impression that some men just are or are not leaders. So explain to me, how did your bf develop leadership skills and become a captain? How do I make my bf a captain? As for how do we inspire our men? I feel like we inspire them through being supportive and inspirational ourselves. For example, striving to become an excellent musician or cook, all the while supporting our men in their endeavours. Basically self-improvement for both par…

You’re right. I have told him many times I’d like him to be a better leader in our relationship. Nothing has changed and I do feel like looking for a man who is a stronger leader. Also, considering he’s in the middle of doing a PhD in scientific research, I’m impatient to settle down and sometimes wish I had a man who was already established in his field. I don’t know if I should stick it out and wait for him to establish himself, or just give up after 4 years of dating. I do love him, but I’m a…

No it’s everything. He literally can’t decide - he isn’t a picky eater though so whenever I make him dinner I just make what I want and he’s happy. But like I said, I’m worried his passiveness will carry over to other aspects in our life together.

It’s not just that he is indecisive about dates. I’m worried that his indecisiveness is going to carry toward our future together. He won’t be able to make the big decisions that matter such as buying a house etc.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll try. He never knows what to do on dates though.. I’m honestly sick of the indecisiveness

Considering your age, you definitely need to lower your expectations. Most men your age and older are already taken. Aside from lowering your expectations, do more volunteer work - maybe at concerts or festivals or something. You always meet interesting people in those types of situations. And chances are, if it’s at a festival with music you like, anyone you meet will have similar taste in music.

I think femininity comes more from the inside, but it can definitely be played up with outside appearances! Always be polite, compassionate, and friendly. Take up an interest like cooking or making your own clothes. Wear your hair long and curl it! Wear dresses or skirts! All these things always make me feel very feminine 👱🏻‍♀️

I believe that the homeless and indigenous people here in Canada should be taken care of before we even think of accepting refugees from other countries. We barely have enough jobs or affordable housing for people currently living here!

It’s hard when she literally makes everything about getting me to reveal my “dark side” ie. my differing ideology which supposedly goes against everything she raised me to be

Wow, thanks for all the advise! I think what bothers me the most is - while I do respect my mom, she does tend to bait me into these conversations where I’ll voice my opinion, and then she’ll just shut me down, without actually hearing me out. Maybe I’m just too concerned with what she thinks of me? I don’t know. But yes, I definitely do not want politics to come between us. My dad has told her that she has become a bit radical, especially about feminism. But she also won’t listen to him.
