I take an uncle to Dialysis 3 times a week. Job hop every 2 or 3 years. If you are doing it every year after two or three years you'll be questioned as to why or people will start just passing over your resume or application. If they know they can get you for at least two years they are cool because after that long they either have to promote you or pay more than what they can hire a new person to do. In the USA, many states have stopped recognizing common law marriage or never did despite popular myth. Check your local laws.
