It is the WAY people on this sub indicate that they say no. By ridiculing the person, for example.

I say sorry if I bump into someone at the store, I say sorry if I can’t help someone. “Sorry (you like me and I don’t like you, that’s sorry for you), I am not interested”. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am 100% female. Of course sometimes it is not enough, but this sub has evolved to “how DARE someone hit on me, I am untouchable and every person that even think they have a chance with me is a peasant! I shall degrade them in the best way possible for even thinking so”.

I think rudeness rarely require you being rude back. To be honest I think being rude to someone (regardless of them being rude to you) is a bad quality. You can simply inform them what they said wasn’t okay, or just ignore them.

For the duration of our relationship I thought that I was just a very light sleeper/didn’t have good sleep quality. I would wake up several times during the night, not fall asleep, and never feel rested. Could sleep 12 hours and still feel dead tired. After I broke it off I now sleep through the night without problem. Also wake up after 8 hours feeling refreshed. Turns out being worried all the time fucks you up.

I had a similar problem with my ex boyfriend. He did not remember his mothers birthday at all. Well, he knew it was between feb 8-12th, but never remembered the date. Always congratulated her on the wrong day, if at all. I put her birthday in my calendar after the first year, and always congratulated her on her birthday. When he found out about this he was absolutely infuriated, saying I should have reminded him. He said I couldn't congratulate him when he didn't, in that way it would be obvious…

I agree with her. My plan is to have children within the next 6 years, with or without a man.

I would ask him about it. Maybe his answer is simply "I think you are absolutely beautiful". One thing is steering clear of low value men, but I do think that some things might be OK even though your first reaction is to be creeped out. I think you should talk to him about it, and if it still creeps you out then explain your view. If he is a high value male he will apologize, say it was never his intention, and then stop.

In my opinion it is not that weird. Strong emotions get me going, regardless of wether its sadness, anger or happiness. Of course it depends on what I am upset about (wouldn't get turned on if my mother had died to say it that way), but in general I don't find it too odd.

Ouuuch. I recently broke it off with my partner; This thread reminded me of a few years ago when I had to list an emergency contact, and after careful thought I chose to list my father (lives 1,5hr drive away) instead of my partner whom I live with. I remember my reasoning was that 1) my dad was more likely to answer the phone and 2) be available at all times. Didn’t count on my partner to be available if shit hit the fan. Might have made the right choice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
