Here's a pretty well known essay that goes into more detail: http://denisdutton.com/baumeister.htm the highlights include the increasing phenomenon of grade-inflation, which tends to hurt men.

Oh, I fully believe Dems lie cheat and steal. Sorry for my inelegant words. So, the clintons are involved in a bunch of shady deals. Things like insider trading and real estate. That Vince Foster thing felt fishy. I'm sure there's a ton of other stuff I don't know about. But at least the shadyness that dems are involved in are usually smaller in scale. It usually has a dollar amount and its usually about personal enrichment. Sadly in this day and age, I prefer it to the GOP corruption in which w…

Yes, politics isn't about picking the best, its choosing the least worst. She's evil and dishonest, but at least she gives the semblence of at least attempting appearing to non-criminal. The GOP straight up lie cheat and steal with no remorse. And they blindly will destroy the planet and the future for any price.

To be fair, many of the times when the GOP criticize Obama, its straight up racism. I figure they will do the same thing with Hilary.

Not a surprise. She's always seemed like kind of a poseur. She wants to be known for being this "edgy" comic, but she never really is, she just uses "edgyness".

That's only part of it. Part of it is men are wired for novelty. Even if you have a gf that does it all day long, you are going to want to look at different naked women.

Even in 90% of the men went on strike, there's more than enough men left to have sex with all the women. So go ahead an organize a sex strike, see how that goes. Whereas women organizing a sex strike has been known to stop wars on several occasions.

They are only Beta if they show interest. I have plenty of platonic friends that I treat differently if I'm attracted to them. My natural state is to be a good decent human being to everyone, but I find that most women interpret this as weakness. If there's a girl I'm interested in, I basically dial back the altruism, humanity and courtesy. I'm not exactly Don Juan, but I seem to be getting results. Also, if you're gonna nix videogames and comic book movies, you're pretty much gonna nix a gigant…

"all women" do not get hit on all the time by guys. The majority of unattractive women simply don't matter to you and don't exist. But they still count as women.
/r/TheRedPill27/02/15 08:11 PM
2

The caveat on this is the 80/20 rule applies no matter what. If all men suddenly stepped up their game, they'd be back at square one, where only the top 20% reaped the benefits. At most we can hope for as men is reshuffling the cards a bit. We will not be marching to victory together.

People who truly are a certain way, don't feel the need to announce it. The fact that they do it so conspicuously means that it actually is an issue. Every notice the most homophobic politicians end up being gay?

But this thread is about the male POV. I'm sure women have their own issues, but it's another topic. But while we're on the subject, if all men were suddenly fit and rich and fashionable, I think women would still find a way to disciminate and go for the top 20%. I think that's just how nature has designed it. If improving yourself was all that was necessary, we'd all be swimming in women since there was a time that all you needed to be irresistible to a woman was have a cave bigger than the nex…

Well, mathematically, he's right. There are simply not enough attractive women for the men out there. This is made even worse by modern diets and an epidemic of obesity. And that's one of the many reasons I'm chronically single.

marginally related: I've had asian female friends tell me the reason so many of them hook up with white nerds is that they can't tell they are awkward/weird until hanging around them a while.

I have never told a woman to use less makeup unless I really meant it, or she freaking overdid it like Tammy Faye Baker. The real thing I want to tell women is don't be fat. But somehow that never seems to be the question they are asking.

I never said I can beat the odds, that being said, I can improve them. I don't go for low quality women anymore. As soon as its clear thats all they are, I don't really expend that much energy and time on them anymore. I have a few of them I keep around just so I have a backup plan for boring weekends.

Yep, I've read all the divorce horror stories, and my eyes are peeled for that type of woman. Granted, some of them don't reveal themselves early, but I am wary. This particular woman seems to have potential, I'm reluctant to next her.
/r/askTRP04/02/15 05:17 AM
1

I'm new to TRP, but there seems to be some contradictory evidence. On one hand, TRP says the ideal woman doesn't sleep around and is conservative, etc. Yet, the best strategy is to get her to have sex as soon as possible. How is this reconcilled? I'm not looking just to get laid. I hope to find someone worth marrying. thanks...

/r/MensRights01/02/15 10:37 PM

I think people forget the 80/20 rule. No matter what, 80% of the guys out there are gonna strike out. Even if you assume a lot of the people are not TRP, those are still horrendous odds.
/r/askTRP30/01/15 11:40 PM
1

I think one of the hard truths about TRP that doesn't get publicized is the logical conclusion that most guys just aren't gonna get laid. The 80/20 rule. Women find most men unworthy of sex. I think this holds true even if suddenly all men improved themselves. Women would just find something else to discriminate with. They always want the top alpha dog.
/r/askTRP28/01/15 04:27 AM

I think this is a correlation/causation situation. I like women who are attractive. Many things that make a woman attractive require maintenence (nice clothes). Also, attractive women tend to be more spoiled, so they can demand more maintenence from the SO. However, if I could get an attractive woman without the high maintenence, it would be amazing. I would not like a woman who was just entitled.

I kind of take issue with how he is so dismissive of "man children" who smoke pot and play video games. By his logic, most men won't end up with a proper woman. Isn't it sensible to spend your time then, with something that makes you happy? Should all men mindlessly throw themselves into the rat race?
/r/TheRedPill20/01/15 07:00 AM

Despite what men try to play off, life for them is not all super awesome. Life for most men is crap. All those death, suicide, and mental illness stats mean something. Also, nothing is stopping you from going out and doing something great as a woman. It's not like its the 1800s. Look at all the accomplished women out there right now.

interesting read: http://abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=123853 highlight: Nothing worked. The women always chose the tall men. Sherr asked whether there'd be anything she could say that would make the shortest of the men, who was 5 feet, irresistible. One of the women replied, "Maybe the only thing you could say is that the other four are murderers." This is half true. Just as the harpiest shrew will turn all pliant and nice when presented with Elon Musk or Brad Pitt, lots of Asian women have a thing for white guys, so will up their game for them. Not all women. SINGLE women. Every dating scene thing I went to was mostly finance / biz admin / marketing types. High powered, focused on career. That's great if you're into it, but they value money even more than normal women, and if you don't make more than them, they don't respect you.

True, it can be considered settling. But I prefer to think about it in a more "spiritual" sense. I think an argument can be made in favor of the innovation. However, I think that's irrelevant in light of the fact that the social enviornment (for men, anyways) here is utter crap.

Actually, I kinda agree with her, but not for the reasons she comes up with. If you got rid of 10% of all males, suddenly the SMV of all men go up 10%. It's awesome, at least for all the men that are still around. For most of human history this has been the way it worked. Wars and such continually got rid of men, and made them a rarity.

your second point needs elaboration: Most men just need modest means to live, a spot to live, food to eat. The only reason we kill ourselves trying to make it big is to get women. And these days, it really does take uncommon money to get married and have kids. Gone are the days your average wage could support a family, much less attract a woman enough to marry you. Shit, if there's a snowballs chance in hell that I'm going to have a family, I might as well just sit home and play x-box.

Because of wealth inequality, you have a very small number of people controlling the vast majority of the money. So that number is not very useful for doing real world modeling. You get into typical issues with median/mean/ etc.

Yep... I've got to agree. My theory is that in the modern world, women just don't need men as much any more. They have good, steady jobs on their own with ample advancement. They don't need anyone to lift heavy things or fight off bears. All they really need is someone to listen to their problems, give them a shoulder to cry on, and boff once in a while. What they want is someone more capable than them. In this world that means someone who makes more money and higher standing in the social order…

The problem with dating white chicks is they age so much worse than us. Women typically want someone more mature looking, and men want someone younger. For this to work with AM/WF, the guy has to be 35+ and the woman has to be 25-. This makes matching much harder.
/r/seduction19/07/11 10:49 PM

The difference is, for an asian to succeed with asian women, he has to have mastered the confidence/seduction game. I know a stupid amount of white losers who manage to get it on with asian women. There are differerent rules for us and them. You are naive if you think otherwise.

Asian guy here. I attempt to make friends with people of all races all the time. However, as soon as I detect that they are hanging around me as a way of getting asian women, I cut them off. This accounts for about 75% of the white dudes I meet. So currently my only white friends are 2 white women, 1 gay guy, 1 bolivian guy and 1 friend from college. everyone else is asian (tho not my exact ethnicity).

Yay, this topic again. I'm forced by law to throw my 3 cents in: I'm asian, and I'm attracted to asian women, like myself. That is, english speaking, independent minded, educated and adventureous. If you're an asian woman, being adveturous and independent means dating a white guy. Perish the thought of breaking that cliche. If you're REALLY adventurous, you date a black guy.

I think depiction of romance films is very realistic, if you look like Jennifer Lopez or Meg Ryan. Unfortunately most women... don't. They forget to read the fine print. Actually, I think most romances aren't realistic, but my point still holds. Hotter women can get away with a lot more.

"getting rid of the need for men". Men are primarily used for hard labor and defense. Over the centuries, we've made our societies safer and safer, created machines to reduce the strength needed to complete tasks. War is no longer the standard way of conducting business among nation states. In the modern age, "social" occupations tend to be more in demand, such as management, administration, marketing, law. And harder academic fields like engineering and mathematics are less in demand.

being a good person and being an alpha male arent mutually excusive. I think there should be a third category: fake alpha males. Those douchebags who pretend to be alpha.
