Why do they sound like such morons? Like almost unintelligible.

There’s a horrible story my cousin sent me from Chicago of a male inspector for businesses (dog boarding places I think) using his job to assault female business owners. Luckily one caught it on camera. He would basically be there in off hours when they were alone. He was the only inspector and he’d hold off signing the form to get their capitulation. Never be too careful!

Keep an eye on those woman authored books though. Anything that posits you should act like a man to be successful is anti-feminist imo. Making career women into versions of men just upholds the patriarchy. If women gain power we should make something totally new that allows women to thrive without having to act arrogant, aggressive, abusive, and toxic to get ahead.

I worked in a nightclub for a long time. Random men would ask to take photos with me all the time and would pose it like we were friends. I honestly hope no women falls for that crap because it’s incredibly easy to just ask some women you don’t even know for help and we’re all so fucking nice we do it. (I wouldn’t nowadays I was dumb back then)

I’m a really nice person and I hate that I feel like I have to hold it in so it doesn’t get read as hitting on men. I’m just being courteous and friendly but they read so much into it. It’s something I really resent men for to be honest. I feel like I have to have this wall up all the time to protect myself and I hate it

There’s YouTube videos on the man suspected to be her abuser, he was a producer I believe at nick throughout her time. Other actors have hinted at issues with him as well. I can’t remember all of it but some YouTubers have done deep dives. It’s really horrifying

I love her: this is so accurate. They don’t even believe us when we tell them our lives, why tf would they believe our “instructions”?! The question presupposes something men don’t have which is the ability to see us as valid humans

Never fall into the trap in general of having to “prove yourself” to a man (or anyone tbh). You have nothing to prove. When he asks what you bring to the table just say I don’t want to sit at your table bye.

I’m glad you brought this up. I was thinking about this the other day. Even besides sexual harassment which is horrible, you still have to deal with deeply engrained misogyny. Even when you’re in a management position! Dealing with men who think you’re dumb, who think they’re attractive enough they can charm you into looking the other way, or who are just overtly disrespectful.. it’s exhausting. Work is hard enough

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
