For your first two points, I agree that there are masculine traits that are necessary to society and also condemned by our society. For example, we want the soldiers protecting us to be ready to kill, but when they come back, we obviously don’t want them to kill us. My point was that I doubt that anyone condemns men for trying to save people from sinking ships or wreckage from terrorist attacks. As for your third point, I feel as though it aligns with my statement that “toxic masculinity” is not…

“Toxic masculinity” doesn’t mean that all masculinity is toxic. I’m not sure how dying while trying to save people during a crisis relates to toxic masculinity.
