Community debt if you don’t own any assets. Community property if there are items that are toss-ups.

I don’t believe karma is real. We are the sum of the choices and consequences we make, or fail to make, and the timing of those consequences (or opportunities) in conjunction with the amount of work we put in. The universe is indifferent. Make your own karma.

Happiness is rarely derived from career progression. Your job is a means to an end- you are trading time for money. What you choose to do with your free time, now that’s what helps you move on. Join a rec league, find a hobby, travel, whatever. Live a fulfilling life. When you die no one is going to remember you were EVP of Widgetco.

If she was raised by a single mother and/or doesn’t have any strong male role models in her family it’s a hard ‘no’ - daddy issues are a huge driver of shitty behavior in my experience.

Check your local laws, but not being served within a month of filing means either she forged service paperwork, or it may be invalid due to time. Get a lawyer.

Liquidate everything and move to a country that doesn’t cooperate with the U.S. on banking or extradition if that settlement is forced.

Your petition for dissolution should actually cover what you can and can’t do in that regard- if it doesn’t say, ask your lawyer first. In a lot of places you can’t mess with any kind of insurance coverages until it’s final.

Unless he’s a married US military service-member it’s incredibly unlikely the USG will give a shit. This might be office-politics dependent, but if your spouse and her AP are well-liked it’s very likely you will just come across as an unhinged ex.

Your lawyer is going to eat her lunch during discovery if she is.

Unless: If you are going after her for any kind of support, pressing adultery charges is a bad idea. You want her pay to go up, not down. Adultery is also incredibly difficult to prove in a CM and most JAGs will instead go after conduct unbecoming or a more general article.

This is the way. Be the leader in this situation. Seize the initiative and set the tone that you control those engagements.

I am hilariously bad at picking up on women flirting with me/hitting on me: The only times I was aware of it was when I was wearing a ring. There is some utility in wearing one, depending on your motives, but otherwise yeah sell that fucker.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
