I am speaking in hindsight now so obviously back then I thought I loved him. Now I realize I would have stayed for someone like my husband so I must’ve not loved that guy enough to be with him through his funk

It’s weird you think a woman that doesn’t love a man enough to help him when he’s down is gonna stay faithful when a much better man than him pursues her..

My husband was my 4th — I was always trying to avoid marriage because I had commitment issues but I was dating by the marriage script essentially so it almost always led to an engagement.

Most people stay for the 5% and if they don’t, they just weren’t that into you. Good luck🙂

I cheated on my first ex fiancé mainly because he was initially very successful and I felt he was “on my level” so to speak. However, he went into a depression, quit his job, and became much more emotional. I guess I didn’t care about him enough to stick around and help him, I met my second fiancé while I was still with him and we made out and went out before he said he wouldn’t go any further unless I dumped my depressed ex so I did.

He was a very sweet guy and definitely charismatic. He took care of her ailing mother for 2yrs so she wouldn’t have to take time off her work

She started comparing him to the other husbands and they’re all more educated than him and earn more than him several times over. She outearns him too but it’s not hard he’s a photographer. And it’s not like he’s a looker to make up for all of that so..

Never underestimate the power of the FSM: Just had a friend say she’s filing for divorce a few years after getting married because she felt like an “other” for her husband’s very underwhelming life resumè in our social group and started comparing him to the other men. I need to organize a party to celebrate this momentous occasion
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 05:27 PM

No. He wasn’t interested in dating when he was in his 20s and was just having casual sex so we wouldn’t have been compatible since I always pursued relationships. Even in his early 30s, my mother in law told me he said to her marriage is an institution for women when she asked him why he was still unmarried. Fast forward 2.5yrs and he was getting engaged so it works out. I don’t think the transition is seamless but it becomes easier if you have your goals in mind.

Fairly specific question but my husband falls under that category and he did struggle to make the switch but thankfully by the time he got to me he had.

My husband cold approached me while I was out eating alone. He pulled up a chair and the first thing he said to me was “I usually never leave my friends to approach blondes” so I told him what changed and he said I was staring at him a little too longingly and asked me why I was obsessed with him. I never even looked his way the entire night but the way he said it had me questioning my recollection of that night.🤪

Everyone wants to think their partner is au naturale so to speak. He doesn’t want to know I have a rigorous skincare routine and I don’t care to know how long he works out. I don’t know why people on this subreddit think TRP discusses new innovative ideas..like yeah duh and it almost always isn’t just a women thing but a human thing. Robert Greene even spoke about in 48 laws of Power making everything seem effortless and naturally occurring. To never show people how hard you work to achieve some…

Would you care if your husband ate your food but gained a bit more weight Yeah it would probably significantly decrease my sexual attraction to him. I like the look and understand he has to maintain it although he’s 36 now and unfortunately his daily gym routine will eventually subside with age most likely. I feel like it’s okay to complain men in good shape aren’t eating everything but always remember this is the alternative. Yuck
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 02:45 PM
2

The gymbro struggle is definitely real. I used to think abs were easy to maintain until now when I live with my husband and I see the calorie counting and hours in the gym. Kinda hate seeing all the work he puts into his body, I’d rather go back to the days I thought he worked out a few times a week and stayed in shape that way. Good tip I figured out is letting him tell you what he can and cannot eat. Helps you figure out how to make him something he can actually eat.

I am in consulting and honestly the easiest way is to be someone with money yourself. From what I’ve seen, these men do care about your education and finances, my guy let it be known he wouldn’t have married me if I wasn’t doing well for myself already. Proximity to them helps a lot, although also hanging out at places with a higher barrier for entry works too. CCs/fundraising events are great places. I met my husband at a restaurant though

For the past 6-7 months, my husband has been a house-husband and it’s great. He works out for a couple of hours every morning, makes my breakfast before I head to work, and I come home to a home cooked dinner and a clean house. It got me thinking, how many of the men on this subreddit would be happy with being a SAHD/House-husband?

Yeah it looks really bad to me, I wouldn't be able to sleep with someone that fat. I think making 50k is fine when you're maybe 24-25 but the average man is in his 30s and making that money. I wouldn't be comfortable with the gap in our income
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:15 PM
1

BMI isn't a great measurement to be fair, my husband is 25 despite being ~10% body fat. But in general, most american men aren't obese BMI wise because they're working out constantly, it's because they're fat unfortunately. 21 seems low, are you scrawny? And 5'9 is a little on the short end for my liking and he'd probably be shorter than most of my family too (all scandinavians).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 06:18 AM
4

I would stay single but if I have to choose, I'd choose A. The average man is the following: 5'9, a BMI of 29, 30-39, and has this body type visually He makes around 50k (while in his 30s) His income and obesity/height are enough to deter me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/21 10:29 PM
1

Not thinking you're a catch must be some sort of low self esteem issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/21 11:24 AM
1

What's your body fat %? And I am assuming you're ugly because you're a virgin with little success in dating. That's enough information for me to know you're not some attractive guy
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/21 05:21 PM

You're the kind of man that needs to go MGTOW. You're ugly, broke, and don't have a personality.

why did you cheat Proving TRP correctly, it was more of a branchswing. I was dating my boyfriend at the time and being pursued by someone who I seemed to have more chemistry with, was better looking, and much more successful. It felt like I was objectively settling if I stayed in the relationship. The guy I cheated with ended up becoming a fiance before I called off the wedding due to me feeling like we'd be incompatible long term. As for my friends, most of them didn't take the men they cheated…

In my friend group, around 30-40% have probably cheated at some point in the past (including myself on an ex). Most are married now and faithful; as for whether or not you should have broken up with her, I think you jumped the gun but you can't help how you feel about someone ultimately. I don't believe in once a cheater always a cheater or a "talking stage" since I've multidated all throughout my life. So as far as I am concerned, that girl didn't cheat. A serious talking stage isn't a relation…

I like it when "meh" people know they are and are willing to learn. There's actually a new subreddit r/CupidsArrow that is basically if FDS ditched the memes, constant discussion of LVMS, and focused on improving themselves and applying strategies. As much as I'd like to, FDS server and subreddit isn't the place for blunt discussions about staying pragmatic and realistic. Because it's a female space, the bluntness and style of communication I'd have to deploy to tell them that would be seen as inappropriate. In contrast, TRP tells fat men to get in shape and no one beats around the bush that their weight is the obvious thing holding them back. While on FDS, it's a lot of beating around the bush and criticizing the overall quality of men av…

FDS dating philosophy has been around and preached to women for generations so it does work in finding a woman a partner. An average woman applying FDS principles to find a mate would have to be realistic. If she's average but holding out for a 6'2 doctor with a sharp jawline, she'll most likely fail. Not because of FDS, but because that kind of man isn't in her dating pool. So short answer— yes FDS can work for average women but if that woman's hypergamy is unchecked and she's shooting too far …

I have a theory 99% of the men that post in PPD are manlets. I can feel their short man energy through the screen often times. Can we make a height flair and do verification🙂 it would make the sub much more pleasant.

Subs you read ≠ what applies to you. They also did a survey showing most of them are NOT in their 30s. For entertainment, I too read relationship advice/datingover30/ and childfree. I don't need relationship advice, I am already married, and I am not planning on being childfree.

As someone who knows several, most FDSers are relatively young women. Some are in the process of looksmaxxing still, while others have already done that. The fantasy of them being overweight middle aged black women doesn't really hold water when you look at where they most frequently post pictures of themselves in (i.e their discord). Contrary to what PPD men believe, HVM are not constantly approaching hot women and they're not abundantly available either. If you're an attractive woman, HVM & LV…

My husband and I don't have fully joint accounts, we have a "Yours, Mine, Ours" system of sorts. We have an account for all household expenses and we both put 10% of our incomes in it. So from that account, our property taxes and shared expenses are paid off. Usually we have a lot of money left over since we're relatively frugal so we invest it together. It doesn't feel like we're going 50/50 because it's one account for all the things people would traditionally split. I pay for anything him & I…

I am only referring to pandemic schedule. We started dating February 2019 and didn't get married until August 2020, I didn't live with him until then so not sure how his schedule was prior to that. He's an MD though

To be fair, I wanted to take time from his gym time when we first started dating (more of a shit test tbh) and he had to sit me down and remind me I like his body and wouldn't find him as sexy if he let that habit go. I hold myself to a strict diet myself so we've never had issues over what to eat; I was never a fitness nut but always did cardio so we ran together often enough. I usually do 5mi and just watch him for the rest of the time since his alarm wakes me up in the morning anyways.

I don't have an issue with steroid use that's proctored and done with medical supervision. Even told my partner to get on it to maintain low bf % but he didn't want to. If someone has maxxed out their natty potential, which means they have absolutely worked their ass off to incorporate good dietary and exercise habits; I have no issue with them then getting on steroids if they wanna get the extra look. There are men who are 10% or less natty but what varies is how long they can maintain it. My husband is at 12% right now before he cuts down again, maintains, and then let's himself gain a few %s. Steroids would help a man maintain a low body fat much easier though.

Across the board my ideal physically is: 6ft+ Abs showing, preferably less than 10% bf Not a lot of body hair (no chest hair except for winter) No facial hair Dark hair Blue/light brown eyes facially attractive (ronaldo/Matt bomer/James Marsden level)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 04:35 AM

Just scrolled through his IG, he's less attractive than the guy I posted as of 2021 at least from the pics I saw on there (pretty prominent forehead, eye lines, probably 12%+ bf). But at his peak I think he was a 7.5/ and an 8 when he cut. For some reason although he's 6'1, he looks shorter to me (probably how he's built) my husband is only an inch taller and he'd probably look 6'4 next to him. Henry Cavill does have short arms though maybe that's why.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/21 02:38 PM

He can be your 9 and my 7, nothing wrong with that. It's all subjective after all especially when rating an objectively attractive person. I also know plenty of top Hollywood actors that are less attractive than him, I rate them lower than him but it doesn't change how I rate.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/21 02:26 PM
2

High value men aren't suppose to be abundant so yes although I am in the US and that man would be 1-3% of the male population, it doesn't change my perspective. I disagree he would be a 9 or 10 as far as attractiveness simply for being tall and making 6 figures, there are plenty of ugly tall men with 100k+ jobs that I wouldn't even rate an 8 much less 9 or 10. A male 7 for me is this guy, he's 34 now I think

31F For men in my perspective they're high value if ALL of the following are true: Well respected socially Good salary (100k range from 24-27, afterwards upwards of that in a big city). White Collar job Well educated (went to a T15 school for either undergrad or grad) or holds a graduate degree in a field I respect such as Mathematics/Engineering, special consideration for MDs. Attractive, on a 1-10 scale probably a 7 or higher. Probably has to be tall to be a 7 or higher too (6ft+, low bf %, de…

I recently PM'd a poster on FDS because she was asking for advice on how to handle a flaw with her HVM boyfriend (objectively imo), reading the thread gave me a headache. I had to reach out to her as someone who has used FDS-esque (The Rules) strategies to get married and tell her that she was probably taking advice from a bunch of single women which isn't an issue if they weren't sooo cynical all the time.

You can't compare the set up of FDS to that of TRP simply because field report posts that can be found on TRP are much more frequent. Why? Because getting a girl to sleep with you is not nearly as hard as getting an HVM into an LTR with you (for most women). So RP men can discuss effective strategy much more frequently than FDS women can, the sub hasn't been around for 2+ yrs even. I actually do think FDS has strategy outlined, it's just not in the front page. The handbook and the recommended re…

My entire point was that I wouldn't reject an attractive man in a rude or mean way. Next time might wanna reread the comment and fully comprehend it before writing a paragraph responding. I thought "shooting your shot" is what everyone is calling cold approaching nowadays😂 I am married now so I don't really care about the pool of bachelors still approaching. I just think if women wanna get rid of men they're not attracted to as quickly as possible, they should try their hand at being extremely rude.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/21 12:39 PM
7

None of it works unfortunately. I adopted the strategy of ignoring a guy, putting him on the spot in front of my friends (usually a "why don't you go somewhere you're wanted") or just rudely rejecting him. It doesn't prevent men from approaching but it significantly shortens the time they waste "shooting their shot."

One of the main issues with the PPD Official Discord server is that it's easy to tell when a user is male or female — not only because of names + pictures but life stories. So after a while, the discourse becomes extremely "men vs women" and all discussion of pill philosophies is separated strictly by gender lines. I just didn't want to have to agree with women simply because they were women and the platform was leading to that since all the men would rally behind one another.

In high school I dated a guy that was 4/10 6'1-6'2. Very bland looking, nothing stood out. To this day I am not sure why high school me dated him thankfully never slept with him and I am glad I quickly got out of that phase. Most unattractive male "friend" I ever had to me I can't rate because he had all the features I don't like: no hair, slight beer belly, short around 5'10. He has a wife now that's objectively better looking than him so I guess he was successful🤔

Since about June I think, I was lurking and eventually made an account. r/consulting has a few MBB folks on there so we definitely know about Reddit, although I didn't personally use it until very recently. Happy Holidays!

I am 31 so I dated before FDS🤣 I still thought it was a deal breaker. Thankfully it hasn't been much of a problem in my relationships, thanks for the compliments and happy holidays!

Cost of living adjustment is pretty important, these numbers are below average in most big cities. In my neighborhood in Atlanta, 67k annual salary would put you probably in the bottom 20%, the obesity statistic is also irrelevant in active cities like SF, Seattle, LA, NYC etc.

I am gonna say the official FDS subreddit stance and then answer your question on a more individualistic level: FDS supports double standards that benefit women as per the co-founder Now in my relationship, we don't have the set up we had during our courtship. Although he covered most of our dates , now we both put a percent of our income into a joint account and use it for our household expenses. That eliminated to a large extent "the breadwinner" and housewife dynamic that traditional gender r…

I keep myself accountable for both my successes and failures, fortunately I've had wonderful relationships throughout my adult life and have no hang ups on how any of them ended or my behavior in them. I think when you have high standards and a healthy mindset; you will most likely attract the exact same and the opposite sex as I have seen

I agree with you. I was disagreeing with OP's observation that these women can get attractive men for exclusivity because they can't and they usually don't. Her value my self inflated when she sleeps with him though which can give her the belief that she can be increasingly picky and do fine for herself in LTRs.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/20 10:27 PM

What? I didn't even give a reason why men aren't picky with who they fuck, I just made an observation. You lack empathy woman I sure do
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/20 10:26 PM

Ugly women are not getting Chads for exclusivity, they'll be able to punch above their weight when hooking up because men aren't picky on who they sleep with.

Bold of you to assume I need to read what a bunch of guys unsatisfied with their SMV look for in a woman. It's really not that hard to manipulate men, most of them are motivated by sex.

I think the men are bringing the PPD household income down. Gentlemen, make an OnlyFans. Sincerely a concerned woman

This is literally the ideal so no. But it all depends on what you mean by "a lot." If my partner loves me 20-40% more than I love them, I am cool.

I am grateful for: My mother for raising me with good values Myself for always pushing myself and learning new things My husband for being his awesome self and showing me that I may be a half decent parent in the future Friends for the wonderful support network and brutal honesty Golf for showing me that I can stand for 4-6+hrs straight

I disagree about the valuable traits I didn't name any specific ones because they're different depending on the person Why should a woman try to lure me into her? ....where did I state that a woman is trying to lure you? People in the SMP are all marketing themselves directly or indirectly. I am gonna stop now because I geniunely cannot understand where you're trying to take this discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/20 07:43 PM

Yes....everyone has valuable traits. You're asking a demographic of women to market themselves to you as though what you perceive as valuable is universal
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/20 06:58 PM

Their discord server says otherwise. Full of verified women

I would agree but you see...sex is all visual to me. The number of zeroes in a man's bank account can't really visually entice me enough to sleep with him. I don't know how some women can have sex with hideous men because he makes up for it elsewhere. I gave up on the survey because I couldn't decide between the two though 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's up to every man and woman to see value in their partner. You may find a woman that has an FDS approach that you find valuable because she has your desired traits in a partner. No one needs to convince you of their value on here because what you find valuable ≠ what is valuable to another man.

....what exactly does this prove? RP is literally improving so you can get pussy because overall, women have higher standards than men. Yes, attractive men can get away with more but most men are ugly so better level up gentlemen

Isn't it interesting one gender effectively relies on the other lowering its standards....you need women to tell you to have a clean home and a nice body because you don't have the will to do it for yourself. Shocking

I think it's fine for him to tell you he's busy in the context of something greater (i.e he started a new project at work, house hunting, family issues) but the men that constantly remind you they're busy to prepare you for last minute dates and cover their asses in case you call them out are the problem.

For FDS to work on a guy...he has to be willing. Can't see where the manipulation would fit in even if we tried 🤷🏼‍♀️
