So, I'm accepting the premise that they terribly wronged/hurt him. He certainly believes that. What is the best thing that can happen now? He can be angry forever, or he can eventually forgive them. Plus, it doesn't sound like forgiving them would be easy. Maybe I accidentally made it sound that way. I'm sure that if his circumcision so damaging, then forgiveness would be extremely difficult. I don't profess any opinion on why circumcision started, except believing to some extent that it was started by early jews. Nor do I consider this proof that circumcision is detrimental to the circumcised. I believe my parents circumcised me as a profession of faith, and intent to raise me in a Christian way. 1	I could use some help opening my friends eyes.. Everyone is a person. Even misogynists. Instead of using perceived disagreements and pejoratives to dismiss what someone says, please ask them to talk to somebody, anybody, in the movement. It's possible they'd get a bad egg. But dismissing a whole group of people with a single defamation is just another type of discrimination. But maybe I'm ignorant. Many of you seem convinced circumcision is harmful throughout life. Why? Ps. I'm circumcised, and have always considered it normal. Why not forgive your parents? They thought they were doing the right thing. Your dad is probably circumcised, or was told by his doctor it was a healthy thing to do. These studies on pain were done on animals, and many of the specific conclusions are only supported by one study each. I'm sorry you're getting vitriol for instigating discussion. If I was convinced that infant circumcision did actual harm, I think I would change my opinion.
