I get told i’m “always upset”. Or that i “make everything about myself”. No, i’m standing up for myself because you’re being toxic and shady. Needed this reminder today, thank you!

So far it’s been more negative experiences than I’m used to and a couple of zombies resurrecting from over a month ago. Can’t say I recommend but at least it’s entertainment.

Not sure about other women, but probably, mostly I just noticed he would refuse to give me any sort of validation including via likes on social media even though he was on it all the time. Luckily, it was a short relationship and afterwards? Didn’t hesitate to like my photos and watch my stories until he eventually reached out, I ignored him, and he presumably blocked me on social media afterwards lol 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️👋🏽

Jada said recently on Red Table Talk that her and Will have never slept with anyone else. So unless someone personally boned one of them we’ll probably never know 🤷🏻‍♀️

YES! I get “spicy” way too often. Or they start saying shit in spanish. I’m also mixed white/salvadoran. I don’t even speak spanish (unfortunately).

Exclusive, or are you in a relationship and calling each other boyfriend/girlfriend? I didn’t add my last dude on social until we were BF/GF and even still I didn’t post him and good thing too because he ended up tanking the relationship by month 3. Personally I wouldn’t even post a pic of a dude until 6 months of being a BF and probably not unless he had already done it on his social.

Sounds like a beautiful mix!

The folks on my Salvadoran side wouldn’t consider themselves mixed at all. But sure, i’m Latina. half white/half salvadoran would have been a more accurate thing to say if we want to focus on that lol

To clarify - with his SOs lol like a mutual conversation as opposed to talking at them. I’m sure he’d talked about race before. Hopefully 😂

I’m half white, half latina. My ex was Black, had pretty much only dated full white girls before me. And even I was too much a woman of color for him to handle because I was actually willing to call him out for some of his colorism towards other Black people (and his daughter) and just have a conversation about race in general, which I don’t think he’d experienced before. Needless to say, he loved to talk about how it was okay to have conflict in a relationship but didn’t like it so much when it…

The weirdest/closest situation I had is he paid for everything except my drink...based on the principle that he wasn’t drinking right now (for health, not religious reasons). Like...huh? Yeah, no second date. He also bragged about how his ex was a VS model cue huge eye roll

The amount of men who jump straight into telling me they want to kiss me, or “let’s skip the small talk”, or act like they want me to be their girlfriend before they’ve even asked me a single question about myself is gross. I could literally be the worst person in the world and you obviously don’t care because you’re trying to fill a void - either in the bedroom or yourself. Ick.

I’m curious, do you ever make the first move when you want to see one of them or in general find something to do on a Friday night or does the rotation end up keeping you busy before you’d even get a chance? What is there’s a birthday party or something you want to bring a plus one to? Do you ask or just keep doing your friend/family stuff solo?

Yup. I came over with soup and tea when my ex was sick. It was the first time a woman had really done that for him (he’d had two serious girlfriends before) and he was almost suspicious. he even asked, “wait, are you always this thoughtful”. And being honest, I was like “Uhm, yeah?” Didn’t fucking matter, he dumped me two months later. They don’t appreciate shit until it’s gone.

YUP! My last relationship was from Hinge and he was like this over messaging and even worse in person. Still dated him though only to get dumped 3 months later. I now take it as a sign that they’re self centered and stop conversing.

Yes! Just went on an online date tonight for the first time since joining this thread. And I wouldn’t say there was a natural chemistry but he gave me a really good first date and I realized wow this is what I should be expecting, not settling for the bare minimum! Super happy I found this thread and yeah maybe I’m not aligned on every single bullet point but I feel really empowered in dating for the first time in a long time.
