Some people like to be choked during intimate moments. I for one am all about free sexual expression.

Nice try for what? I qualified my statement.

If the OP is talking about the 1993 incident, the man was a fucking abusive scumbag (who was later accused of abusing his later girlfriend as well as the one who chopped off his dick) who deserved to have his cock chopped off. If there was a similar incident with an abusive woman abusing her husband constantly, I'd not bat an eye at her clit getting chopped off either.

Gender roles in America have been blending for some time now with respect to who is supposed to be "breadwinners" as you say, which is a good thing. Just wanted to throw that out there.

What the fuck, has he refused to take the paternity test or is the mother? It doesn't take that long to do, jesus christ.

My issue was that both are examples of inappropriate analogies within a rhetorical context. My opinions on either matter aren't reflected in my original post.

the difference is that many women can't orgasm without their cliterous. Equating the two is implying that some men can only get off by rubbing their penal hood. Both are horrible things, but one is certainly worse from a standard of living perspective.

There's something to be said for protecting a child from abuse. Female genital mutilation, which can include the severing of the cliterous, is viewed as a horrendous act in most Western societies, and rightly so. Granted, losing a cliterous is a little more severe than losing some dick skin, though losing either is pretty barbarous IMO. Still, I think that state induced protection of children from maiming is reasonable. How different would people's views be if, in one particular society, it was …

I'm against babies being circumcised and I'm also indifferent about various birth control methods, but come on. Abortion is a much more serious issue than genital mutilation regardless of gender. This comparison is tantamount to asking if assisted suicide is as immoral as smoking in public restaurants.

Not that I agree with children being circumcised at all, but...well, if they're just going to throw it away anyway... I mean, I have the same opinion I have for aborted fetuses; might as well use it.

I don't like being touched by strangers either...it's a pretty dumb thing to do, whether you agree with how it was treated or not.

Don't forget, every subreddit has sensationalist and misleading articles as well. You should be outraged about much of it, but you should take all of it with a grain of salt.

Um, men can make false rape claims too, and they can be against men and women.

People get raped no matter what they wear. Men also get raped (by other men and women).

Every subreddit has their assholes who take their positions to the extreme. I navigate /r/mensrights with some acknowledgement that there's a bias towards men (and against women) here. It's true of every subreddit dedicated to a specific topic. /r/apple is, generally, biased towards apple products, /r/android is biased toward android stuff, /r/linux is fucking adamant about telling you how shitty anything non-linux is, and /r/womensrights (or whatever it's called) is, I'm sure, biased towards wo…

I know right? Like when I threaten to hit my girlfriend in public, I get weird looks, but when she does it to me, no one bats an eye.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
