| 2 | Strong Curves newbieHypertrophy based training helps add volume to the muscle (think shape) while strength training puts that muscle to work by increasing the force that it can apply. It breaks down to growing and strengthening the muscle. (We often times conflate the meaning of the two concepts.) | /r/RedPillWomen | 11/10/18 08:22 PM |
| 3 | Strong Curves newbieYou can do both at different intervals in your training cycles (or a PPL program that offers a combination). There is training for strength (less volume, more intensity) and training for “size/shape” (more volume, “less” intensity). I’d also suggest giving a program a try before determining you need to adjust it. | /r/RedPillWomen | 11/10/18 07:50 PM |
| 2 | Strong Curves newbieThe program is definitely focused on lifting and weights. Haven’t run it, but I’m familiar with it. https://bretcontreras.com/wp-content/uploads/Strong-Curves-Workout-Templates.pdf Edit: Link to program training log. | /r/RedPillWomen | 11/10/18 07:28 PM |
