Except male victims of sexual assault really are victims of sexual assault, usually being assaulted by their partners who do so with full knowledge that men cannot legally strike back at a woman, or, very rarely, assaulted by being forced (blackmailed or even more rarely with a deadly weapon) into having sex. What male victims of sexual assault usually aren't, is people who regretted having sex with someone so retroactively decided it was rape, or just outright liars. Not saying the first paragr…

I'll compromise with chaperone/witness of either gender. No you won't because you've clearly never managed a group of people. If a worker needs to stop doing his job to explain something, the last thing I want is to take another one off his post. Two workers absent their regular functions can turn a normal afternoon into an absolutely chaotic one. The buddy system/extra witnesses cost the company MONEY. I will quite simply not allow myself to be with women alone at work, I can't take the chances…

Actually, Karaite Judaism has several million followers worldwide, so there goes your claim. Actually it's 50 thousand at the highest estimate The Talmud came to be due to the Babylonian exile and the destruction of the first temple. Of course. But just like the Christian Bible it wasn't the entire corpus of law, we now know of many gospels that didn't make it to the final versions. I know Kabbalah wasn't mainstream but it does have a direct link to ancient Judaism. And it does try to make sense…

Question: can you go to HR for that? I would seriously pursue this to it's ultimate consequence if it were to happen to me.

My local football club has more followers than Karaite Judaism. It does seem that while Christians developed religion without the contents of the Talmud, since Judaism was essentially a desert tribe communal religion, the oral laws really were meant to be followed. And again, Kabbalah is a part of the oral traditions, even if it was never compiled into the Talmud.

Kabbalah is still a form of oral tradition and actually tries to be internally consistent. As a full blown atheist it gets extra points from me just for that. You do realize the Jews don't actually follow the written Torah right?

Kabbalah clearly states Ein Sof is pretty much incomprehensible, let alone talks about gender.

How are you more qualified to know what most people in the world think than we, if you are just an edgy teen and most of us have real life experience? Who are you to call us sheltered? And what does "toxic" even mean? I mean, to me, you sound like a pretty toxic, dogmatic and spoiled brat, why should your point hold over mine? It would also put to rest your misogynistic accusation, you can just take a look at the posts referring to "simps" and the red pill guys to see that we tend to believe bot…

What are you even doing here? Plus, few people here would deny men also mostly have the ulterior motive of coitus when interacting with women, which would actually make people here cynics, not misogynists, or at least both misandrists and misogynists at the same time.

What's worse is the cognitive dissonance between the top tags, so women are beautiful, and women are not to be objectified. They sure like yelling at winds they have pretty exteriors (yes, I realize a significant minority of those tags would refer to the concept of inner beauty) whilst simultaneously urging men that they are more than just pretty exteriors.

I find myself to be in disagreement with him more often than not, but he's good at debating and he brings attention to a lot of our issues. His take on those issues is one thing, but the mere fact that he acknowledges they exist is what's important.

She talked about how a man could easily take control of a female because they are much stronger This one really aggravates me. The Mountain from GOT could also take control of me because he has 80kg and over 15cm on me, the same weight differential I have on a small kid. People can be really stupid sometimes.

You're right but it's exceedingly difficult to prove it wasn't consensual, and you have that pesky thing called burden of proof resting upon the accuser. Also we lack a clear definition of what consensual means, I would take absence of consent to be a clear statement from the other party that they do not want intercourse, and if that doesn't happen, then it is consensual.

Try to figure out your odds from sources within the company that can inform you, try to obtain any information you can. Since these are not subject to the legal standard of proof the decisions can be almost arbitrary and always in favor of the company. What's insane is that men and women have exactly the same IQ with different standard deviations, as it as been demonstrated time and time again, so one would expect men to fill both our colleges and our prisons and streets, but only the latter are happening!

What took you so long to show your true colours, misandry and hatred being their names? I hope no one bans you so people see what a feminist looks like, attacking posters here without providing any shred of evidence besides their circular reasoning, claiming they are the ultimate guardians of common sense of practicality when those show our rights are being eroded by the likes of you? No he wouldn't, for the reasons I've given. Common sense and practically, along with that misandrist's past stances on these subjects show you can't infer what you tried to do from his very explicit and surely well thought of statement. I'm not even Canadian, I've got an outsider's view on this. What I believe or not of that party's structure is irrelevant. It doesn't have to be, it was an example. If Trudeau really wanted all victims to be believed to a point that accusation = guilt of the accused, then he'd legislate that, because he can. No he can't. No man rules alone, let alone one that's trying to write legislation that directly infringes upon a western constitution that surely must have explicit clauses against that. You have very simple, ideology and no evidence based inferences of things he didn't say, based upon past stances which run counter to your argument. You are trying to p…

No he isn't, you're inferring something he did not imply, especially given his radical feminist (a pleonasm, I know) stance on politics. It is just people on this sub, who think he wants to corrupt the "innocent until proven guilty" mantra. It's you who are saying he does not when he so clearly stated what he did, you are just adding points which he should have included in his statement but he didn't. To them anything except the most biased police investigation followed by unacceptable prejudice against the accused during trial that the mindset of always believing a woman (what about men?) conveys is unacceptable. These are, after all, the same people who enable the people in charge of trampling over the rights of men all over developed countries.

You're purposefully distorting what was said. We are led to believe these were his exact words: it is "essential" that women are believed when they come forward with allegations of harassment or assault Which unequivocally reverses the burden of proof and lays it upon the accused individual, given that it is generally inclusive of both law enforcement and judicial system. It's still not incompatible with his extremely biased way of thinking, but it does mean that someone is guilty and has to fig…

We don't yet if we can make something resembling a strong AI but without actually being conscious, we don't even know if this concept has any meaning whatsoever. I believe we can though, and I've heard the same from several experts. We will eventually have both the ability to make a strong, high functioning AI and the robots you seen in Westworld, it seems there is something truly distinct about them.

Certainly makes the case for legally identifying as a woman go game the system, certainly no worse than being 1/64 Cherokee for the affirmative action quotas. Gaming the system is the only method proven to work when it's rigged against you, remember that lawyer who tried to enter several "gurl's only" venues, was denied, didn't say another word, sued them all and won, in the state of Commiefornia of all places.

No. Always beware of whatever cohabitation laws might exist in your given jurisdiction and current jurisprudence and statistics. This is valid for every country and sub-national jurisdiction in the world. For people in Portugal, you can check the civil law here http://www.pgdlisboa.pt/leis/lei_mostra_articulado.php?nid=901&tabela=leis and contact a lawyer (perhaps a friend if you know one) for jurisprudence and statistics, money very well spent if you're planning on cohabitation in the long term…

As an economist, this is not surprising and we do find a rational explanation for this correlation. Decision theory tells us that the opportunity cost for kids (usually the forgone salary) for a jobless women is much lower than for a woman in the work force. Also unequal countries are usually less developed and children cost less as a function of total household income. In fact, even elementary growth models like Solow-Swan predict long term absolute GDP collapse if the growth rate of the capita…
