In my experience that isn't true. The loud minority adhere to that view, but every group has their share of crazies. Judging people by what the extremists believe just cause a lot of pain/suffering. Iraq/Afghanistan wars, anyone?

I think our definitions of feminism are different.

On the same note I've been basically verbally attacked on MensRights before for pointing out that not all women are loonies. We all need to understand that there are inequalities for both men and women in this society and that we have to work together to fix them. MensRights is important because we do generally sweep mens issues under the rug. However, everyone has to keep in mind that using this forum to simply attack women is not productive.

That slogan sucks. Why aren't we all egalitarians, again?

I'm sorry you think that way.

It kinda is about me. You've made a sweeping generalization about women, and that includes me. I'm not upset, nor am I making inferences about your character, I'm just trying to let you know that you don't have to feel victimized by women because the vast majority of us don't think that way. You seem pretty upset that I don't agree with you. Why did you post in a public forum if you didn't expect or want opposition? Alternatively, if you thought everyone would agree with you, what's the point of…

Just want to point out that saying nothing while people make sweeping generalizations about my gender is worse.

Most women don't think that way! Unfortunately there are some crazy ones out there that do, and they tend to be the loud ones.

Hold on, I think that was a sarcastic comment. Either way, name calling is rude and unnecessary. You also display a crazy amount of religious bigotry. Stop giving women a bad name. Also, it's "woman."

We do have a definition for harassment.

Wow. You didn't read my comment either, did you? You don't understand the situation. I have been followed down the street by them, more often than not, actually. I don't think we should legislate speech. Don't put words in my mouth. I'm not asking people to hold doors for me, I'm asking that they don't go out of their way to make me feel awful because I'm a woman and they're a man. I don't do that to them. Free speech does extend to them. Does that mean I should like it? No. The idea that you th…

Did you read the article? So before anyone starts harassing me via the comments section, let me make myself clear, I love men, and I love women. I do not like threatening, disrespectful people. Of course the article is about her. It's an opinion piece. I happen to agree with her. I can't walk one block away from my apartment without being catcalled, no matter what I'm wearing. It makes me feel dirty and sick to my stomach. I shouldn't have to go through that because of the way I was born. I don'…

I'm a feminist. I believe that men and women should be treated equally. (Including in the draft, which should be abolished anyway, but that's another story.) I have no problem with nude photos as long as all parties are consenting adults. I do worry about the obesity rate of children and of the population as a whole. I'm trying to understand what you mean to say with this title. All I can discern is that you want to attack feminists in some way but don't really have a good reason to. I sincerely…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
