Divorce is over…in therapyAh OK. Best that you just assume she’s a narcissist and the only way to deal with a narcissist is to not engage at all with them, complete no contact. You have an attorney, so there’s no reason to have any direct contact with her. If you engage, she will turn it around on you and make herself the victim which she obviously already has done. But you already know this. Stay laser focused on getting the fuck out and nothing else. Best of luck to you, man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/21 01:47 AM
Is anyone available and willing to talk? Or can you point me in that direction?Everyone is different and no one is ever going to be able to relate 100% to another person. However, I also often think no one really gets me, but I don’t let that get in the way of talking to people about my issues. I can guarantee if you told a friend what you have confided in us strangers that they would listen and make sure that they listen and try to make sure your next birthday is not your last. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/21 01:12 AM
Divorce is over…in therapyI understand moving expenses aren’t cheap, but is that the only thing keeping you from moving and finding a new job back “home?” If for whatever reason you couldn’t get your own place right now, is there anyone you could stay with for while that won’t make you miserable like her? I understand you might need to swallow your pride to do something like that, but it could be worth it for your happiness. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/21 01:03 AM
Is anyone available and willing to talk? Or can you point me in that direction?Have you talked to a doctor about anti-depressants? While depression can be triggered by external forces, it is still a literal chemical imbalance of the brain. I think it would be a good first step. But next thing, do you have any close friends or family that you can confide in? Please talk to them. You need someone irl to be vulnerable with and help motivate you to push forward. But in the meantime, I’m here to say that you are worthy of life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/21 12:55 AM
When to tell sonsI don’t think you do. I think you try to teach them how to have healthy relationships and set appropriate boundaries. And even then you have at least a few years to go on that still. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/08/21 04:45 AM
