As you said, without criticism, judgement and scrutiny, women absolutely lose control, and I find that unsettling. If religion was to be taken for what it actually is; metaphorical storytelling, it's a great teaching tool. The values Christianity teach are perfect life rules to follow, but of course, people really wanted to believe a burning bush spoke to a guy called Moses and it all got out of hand.
