They are. They disgust me. I've managed to convince the woman from story #2 to stop buying her husband cigrattes, now if he so much as mentions them she refuses to speak to him based on the shit they got him into. Fucked up situations, but at least there are some women out there who'll sacrifice their benefits or pull their weight when needed I guess? It just sucks that it's for stuff like this.

I'm aware. I wasn't posting the comment to prove a point, just share what I've seen.

My friend's a taxi driver but he's out of work quite a lot due to the pandemic. His wife, who hadn't worked for 15 years, got an essential job to support him. They already get money from someone who pays for the kids, she got a job to support him specifically so he could still get his expensive alcohol and smoke. He doesn't do much else. Then there's this other guy I know who's an irresponsible PRICK with his money. He wastes it away on cigarettes, like, to the point where he WILL choose cigaret…

Women (cs+trans): women. Non-binary AFAB: Women lite. Trans man: Ex-woman, uwu, soft boy, valid, yas king. Non-binary AMAB: Ew, man, die. Cis men: Die. I believe that's their mindset.

This is another good point, and another reason you can't rely on stats very well. They're never going to be right.

"Data from the Home Office Data Hub shows that in the year ending March 2017, more violence against the person offences recorded by the police had female victims (53%) than male victims (47%). This is notably different from the CSEW for the same period, which estimated that 61% of victims of violence were male, with 39% being female (data not shown)." Source. It's not from the last three years but it shows how fucked up the stats are. Everyone has different number and "over 50%" can be as little…

I've muted the words "men" and "women" along with the hashtags on Twitter. I don't need to see that stuff when I'm just therre for a quick procrastination scroll. I'm not really interested in being part of the wider conversation but there are certain friends of mine who are usually nicer, considerate of everyone, who I'd really love to talk back to. But I won't, because these friends would flip out over pretty much anything that goes against their often hypocrtical or one-sided ideaologies. It s…

It's fucking me up too, because on one hand it's "all men are responsible" and on the other it's "we know it's not all men, but it is all women, and even if you've never assaulted someone you need to do this and this and this and this when dealing with women in public." Like ... fuck off? I don't speak to ANYONE in public. If I pass a person on a quiet street I blatantly look in the opposite direction so they don't say hello or nod in passing. I'm very tempted to post something, somewhere, about…

I'm too busy to read the article but on the title; I am not frustrated by woman, I am frustrated by anti-men and ALL MEN R TRASH people of all genders. Many are women but I've seen tons of men share the opinion. As for feminists? Many feminists are misinformed people striving for equality. They think that's what feminism about and haven't read the history of the movement that was kindly linked to me on this very sub. Others? Anti-men, man haters, matriarchy-lovers ... and sadly, I've seen men fa…

TIME was clearly not in Tesco with me yesterday when two inconsiderate women not only stood so close to me I could FEEL THEIR MOVEMENTS, but they shoved against me to get me out of their way. I was looking at the fucking shelf, trying to find something I needed, and not even blocking it!

That's not fair. If I had the choice between my friend's cancer coming back and having to read Buzzfeed every day, I'd choose the cancer, because at least my friend has a quick drug that works to keep the shit at bay. (3 year life expectancy jumped to no cap) Buzzfeed is WORSE than cancer. Cancer is treatable and you can battle it before it kills you; there is no help for Buzzfeed.

In society? No! That's not sexist at all haha :) You CAN'T discriminate against men! In reality? She tried to invalidate your point using your gender. Were you to do that to her you'd be called a sexist, misogynist, bigot fuelled by toxic masculinity and worse. Yes. It was sexist. It was gender-based discrimination, and that is never okay.

This makes a lot of sense. Female friend is just a natural thing to say for so many situations! Even my female friends (hah, see?) say "female friend" about some of their friends.

To be fair, saying "females" instead of "women" sounds degrading. A female friend, a female doctor, a female lawyer, a female ANYTHING sounds natural and fine. Now don't fucking get me started on "women doctors" and "women scientists" and shit because it just sounds TERRIBLE. You would not say man doctor or man scientist, you would say male.

What the fuck even is this? Those aren't even gender identities. Except woman of course. Survey looks like it was made by a 15 year old "softboi uwu valid" who can't tell the difference between gender, ethnicity and sexuality because everyone is uwu valid so anyone that's not white, straight or a man is uwu the same uwu.

I don't get upset. I just roll my eyes. I can't even be annoyed or think the coherent thought about how it's not true anymore. I'm just exhausted. Can no longer stomach the stupidity.

"but actively enforces marriage which is slavery on men" - Marriage is not enforced, it is optional. - Marriage is not slavery if it's a health, equal partnership. - You can fuck someone you pick up in a bar for the cost of a drink or for free. - You can fuck a non-serious girlfriend for free. - You can go fuck yourself and grow the fuck up for free.

Do not state this as fact. This is a one-time exception, and not even a deliberate one. I just happen to not care about the company at hand so I may as well turn the impartial view into dislike and openly avoid it.

If actual abortion is legal, paper abortion should be legal--but within the abortion's legal time frame. Where abortion is NOT legal, then paper abortion shouldn't be legal. It's the only way to keep it fair. Either they can both get out, or neither can. BUT - there should also be a legally binding contract for fathers who want a kid, but mothers who want an abortion. She can't abort unless pregnancy would harm her, but she has NO legal obligation to the kid. It's all his. Exceptions for the las…

I don't like the term either. They should at least call it "open discrimination" or "discriminatory language" because it's not just "hate" and they use the term discrimination in their "rules" about it. Rules which obviously don't protect men.

I plan to find out later today. I've heard of them taking down a LOT of stuff though, mostly sexual and kink related, some stuff that implies nudity even when people have clothes on. The age limit on the app is 16 so I'm pretty sure some guy dancing in his underwear wouldn't offend them ... But, I suppose we'll see about the hate speech. See if they care as much about that as they do about exposed legs and nipples and saying the word "kinky."

See, you're the type of MRA who gives sane MRAs a bad name. I'm done with you. You're pathetic, and reminding me of the radical feminist type who claim every man is evil and out to get them. But like, the opposite. There's no reasoning with the irrational uber-offended grown up baby.

Two two are incomparable. You're comparing a political movement responsible for the deaths of millions, to a "political" ideology that most people--who aren't MRAs--simply equate to uplifting women, but also ensuring equality of the sexes. Not all feminists are bad, because most of them don't realize the history and dark side of what they're supporting. Ignorance doesn't equal evil. Nazis know exactly what they're getting into. At its cote, Nazis are a hate group. At its core, feminism is a back…

Alright - you're correct and I agree with you. I had no idea about this. My knowledge on feminism starts in the early 1900s with the suffragette movement. It tends to be the thing people talk about the most. Screw feminism even more now.

No, they are not. I have several friends who are "feminists" because they strive for anyone, of any gender, and are also passionate about men's rights and male-only issues. They don't parade around chanting "I'm a feminist" or anything, but if you ask them if they're a feminist they'll say yes.

I have most certainly NOT fallen into the trap of believing the complaints against the community. I've an MRA for years. I KNOW what the community is about, and I have NOT confused anti-feminism with anti-women as I am openly anti-feminist but not anti-women. Do not purport to tell me what I have done/thought. I expressed a VIEW - not a fact - based on my experience with anti-MRA and MRA-demonizing people. The movement HAS plenty of attention, but in the wrong circles. It has attention in the ci…

The MRA movement most people (especially women) think of is woman-hating men who claim women have no issues and men are so powerless we're like women were 100-ish years ago. The anti-women MRAs are too loud. That gets all the attention and we're seen as a hate group, rather than a group striving for equality.

I mean equal perception, treatment and opportunity regardless of gender and any other uncontrollable factor, which is what decent and non-radical feminists I know state feminism is. (Although the anti-male rhetoric is much louder these days, so I'm anti-feminist.) In the past, feminism was NOT anti-male. It was pro-female, focused (and rightly so) solely on women getting on equal ground with men. (Voting, working, treatment, whatever.) It became something toxic as issues grew lesser, society gre…

Never, ever, ever snipe back in an all-female environment. Many have valid past experience that'll make them think you're being aggressive/dangerous. Others have delusional beliefs that all men are evil, so they'll think the same. I would bring up the fact that this is the 21st centaury and gender is meaningless in the workspace, and what they're doing is borderline harassment. Ask how they'd feel if each of them was the only woman in a male-dominated field, bring up the double standard. If they…

I tweet about what MRA ACTUALLY is, if it ever comes up. Clarifying it is NOT misogyny and "wah wah women bad, women have no issue, men all issue!!1 !!1 1 ! !" I'm openly ANTI-FEMINIST name, but not anti-feminist notion (equality) and I tell EVERYONE feminism should be called egalitarianism, should the opportunity arise. I have SJW and radial-feminist friends with strong opinions and I'm aware I could lose these friends easily if I saw something they dislike. I'm quick to defend "cis men" when t…
