If it was her house, she'd have every right to have recording devices. So that is the line. If you really think there is abuse happening, you go to the police and get a court order to do so with the recording being run by the police.

Ah I misread that. If the only thing DHS can do is take away his kids, then I would consider it a failure of that organization. What should happen is they help make sure it doesn't happen again. If the doors were locked and the kid unlocked them, then put new child locks in, figure out how it's happening and why. That has a lot more to do with the child than the father. Sure 3am consistently isn't ok, but neither is taking away someone's kids for something like this.

I hate things like this. While it's good to provide examples of DV where men aren't involved I just wish it didn't exist. We're not here to judge, wait until the trial just like we would tell people for a case where a man is charged with tape and his case becomes highly publicized.

Here's the thing. Said mod would say feminism is the answer for men as well, but when men try to bring up said issues they get shouted at and usually banned from the sub. That's the hypocrisy of it. Some would say that it's like a wolf in sheeps clothing. I wouldn't really say that but I can definitely tell where they get that point of view.

I've talked to lawyers about this. The main issue is if they created exceptions to child pornography for young kinds, it would create massive loop holes for actual child porn producers. The best you can hope for is that the Judge recognizes that there was no real malicious intent here and reduce the charges so these people's lives aren't ruined.
