See that's the issue, when she got on the stand she admitted lying about certain things, but, she has the "I was confused/in shock." defense and the police have no intention of filing charges against her, I'd have to privately prosecute her, which is expensive as hell.

That is actually the default in UK court. Everyone gets their ABE edited to remove irrelevant stuff or stuff related to section 41 (Past sexual behaviour), crazy I know but unfortunately true.

Crazily the investigative officer is also the one who, and I shit you not, roleplays my interview tape with the prosecutor to the jury (Of course the victim gets an edited video version of their tape conveniently always cutting out helpful information and cutting in to emotional parts.). During the reading of my interview she got words wrong 3 times, each time making what was said significantly different and obviously much worse, we had to petition the judge to explain this to the jury after her…

In UK Beyond a reasonable doubt isn't a thing any more. For the courts and jury they have to be "Sure" but for the police they use a threshold test and the CPS decide if there's a 50% or more chance of conviction, although you'd think that'd mean they need some evidence, but the CPS view any allegation as 50/50 so anything at all that helps the victim pushes their case. However anything that helps the accused seems to not be used in the case or sent to CPS, at least, did in mine.

An issue in the UK too. I just cleared my name over a week ago, the system is a joke and completely biased until it gets to the jury. To be fair, the judge involved in my case was alright too and my solicitor and barrister were great too. But police and everyone else can fuck themselves as they were nothing but biased and corrupt from the start.
