Same as you I have tried to calmly talk to her and have meaningful conversations, where I tell her to explain to me why she don't like me staying out late and what her fears are? Guess where that lead. NOWHERE. It ends up being a one sided rant where I have no say and I just have to follow her orders. I will try your techniques, though I'm afraid of the emotional damage that I might cause to my mother in addition to the physical.
