I’m living a normal life like everybody else, I participate in male spaces, listen to podcasts and engage in discussions around these issues. But I’m self aware and honest enough to admit that complaining on the internet all day won’t change a single thing unless all of us collectively organise in person

Well you’re proving my point that they didn’t complain on Reddit all day or post Infographics on Instagram to virtue signal. They were able to achieve their goals regardless of their methods. Well that isn’t gonna benefit anyone Advocating for Men’s Issues shouldn’t be at the expense of women’s issues. This Zero Sum way of thinking benefits absolutely nobody. You can advocate for bodily autonomy for example by being against Male Circumcision whilst also supporting a woman’s right to choose.

So what if they get shut down? The suffragette movement wasn’t immediately seen as socially acceptable, they fought for societal change instead until they achieved their goals. I think most Gen Z Men like myself are politically homeless rather than being firmly on the right. I personally lean more towards the left on economics and I’m more socially libertarian. The reason why they swung to the right is because it was an inevitable cultural backlash against Identity Politics and Political Correctness. Young Men realised that feminism and the progressive left didn’t speak for them so they voted for the only side that did.

I can guarantee none of those people on that sub would be comfortable saying that to his face. There’s always someone out there on the internet who’s intent on rage baiting you or hurting your feelings. But people need to understand that it’s out of their control, take a page out of stoic philosophy, what you can and can’t control is a good mindset to embody in this online world nevermind on Reddit of all places.

As a 22 year old man who left secondary school 6 years ago. From what I remember the lessons weren’t all that engaging for the students. It was more about Prioritising Exam Results and appeasing Ofsted, rather than sparking curiosity or teaching students critical thinking skills. Feminism isn’t the root cause it’s just a flawed framework for talking about men’s issues since it’s not centred around understanding the male experience. The only thing that the left is responsible for is not speaking to young men in a way that’s not condescending or in good faith. That leads to The Right filling a vacuum.

Discussion aside I think More Perfect Union is one of the best Left Leaning YouTube channels at the moment. Purely because it talks about the economic side of things rather than making everything a culture war argument. As a young man who’s on the autism spectrum, when I was a kid I had no issue expressing my emotions as I would easily get overwhelmed or overstimulated but I had difficulty putting my feelings and thoughts into words(Alexithymia).
