| 7 | ELI5: Why have men become so sexually repressed? [Discussion]A bit of both, no doubt. I've got a strong "take me as I am or not at all" attitude that, as I've gotten older, I realize doesn't work well for me. I've dated guys that I could become great friends with, got along great, had great sex, but as the relationship progressed I was the one unsuitable to meet the family. I've done quite a bit of self-reflecting to figure it out, but haven't come up with much. I have the claws and teeth, but that's not what makes a woman attractive. I think its similar to a problem women have when a man wants a lady on his arm, but a naughty whore in the bedroom. Showing too much independence or sexuality makes us unattractive as a long term partner.
