Yeah a study has been done on this and the non custodial parent should have to worry about housing for time with the child, they should not have to pay to house the roof when it’s the other parents time. I seen in a documentary called erasing parents how the Netherlands do child support and it’s not based on income and just on what it takes to raise a child but they also start off with 50/50 custody I believe.
