We must run in different circles. This post doesn't "rip him a new one". It disagrees with what he says. It shows tweets from someone who has experienced what he was talking about and say he's wrong. The tweets even make an attempt to explain why he is wrong.

You're welcome? I'm not ignoring anything, but making stupid, sensational titles doesn't help anything.

It's not unacceptable for Matt Damon to have an opinion, but someone else is free to criticize Damon's opinion. What a stupid title for this post. The reason society doesn't progress (I didn't realize society didn't progress) is because people are able to criticize opinions of others? It seems like this issue is being discussed. Different people are giving opinions on the issue.

Even toddlers know when they don't want to be forced to be a gender they aren't I just think a short quote from a happy couple talking about their toddler, and making the declaration of child abuse, is a bit extreme. I have friends and family who have or have had kids of similar ages, and the this sounds, sounds like a person who tried something once, didn't work, but thought it would be an amusing story. I would need a lot more context before I was calling child abuse. A three sentence quote ch…

From the quote, it is hard to call child abuse. The kid is a toddler, and it isn't uncommon for moms to put dresses on boys. That isn't child abuse. The fact that they are trying to get a kid to conform to a sexual identity of any kind is crazy. This is why I'm uncomfortable calling child abuse. This is a quote from smiling couple with a toddler. Among my friends and family with similar aged kids, I've heard similar stories. They play up the attempt and the refusal for comedic affect, whatever t…

Because the kid is a toddler, and toddlers are "just like, 'no'" about a lot of things. Parents often make kids wear reasonable, or normal looking clothes, even when the kids want to wear ridiculous things. I'm not defending this couples attempt to "queer" their son, but calling child abuse seems a bit extreme.

True, but also a man being buffoonish isn't exclusive to being a father either. Also, at least being a "helicopter parent" can't really apply to all women...

Being nags. Having no life outside of being a mother. Being a "helicopter parent". Being overly emotional for very small things. Crying at the drop of a hat. Being manipulative bastards. Being a whiny bitch. Being crazy. These are just off the top of my head. And yes, men have many negative stereotypes as well beyond just being buffoonish. But the idea that only men, or fathers have this, it just crazy.

No I didn't? I went on to explain that mothers have negative stereotypes as well. It's not a one or the other type of thing. Both can have negatives attached to them. Fathers being buffoonish is the stereotype for sitcoms. That doesn't mean that mothers don't also have negative stereotypes.

Really? I have seen several times on Mothers day a mention of single dads, and no one loses their shit. Also, to those saying that only fathers are ever looked down on in media, that's simply not true. Certainly fathers are often portrayed as buffoonish, but it's not like mothers are always looked upon the best of the best. Both genders have their stereotypes around them. Both sets of stereotypes are common in media. It's unfortunate, but it's not only men that get the short end of the stick.

Yeah, I don't know what the point of this post is. I checked both as well, and both had a dictionary definition at the top, followed with a Wikipedia page talking about it.

despite women having more advantages overall. I honestly don't know if that's true. Men have advantages. Women have advantages. Both facts are unfortunate. If I were to be honest, it seems that men have more systematic advantages than women on the hole, but on an individual level (like with kids and marriage) women have the upper hand. It shouldn't be an either/or situation. We should make systematic advantages more even while also making the individual advantages also more even (systematic and …

The likelihood that any random man being a CEO is low. The likelihood that any random CEO is a man is high. Most Americans who can vote may be women, but their choices tend to be men. And the people who decide who runs tend to be men. MRA have points to be made, but so do Feminists. In some areas Women get the better deal, especially when it comes to children. In other areas men are clear leaders. When it comes to being in charge, men tend to win.

Which metrics are those? The metrics of being in charge of shit? Being the boss? Being the leader? Yes, there are certainly metrics where men don't come out on top, but you can't ignore the fact that men do come out on top on others.

So like the Masons, some golf clubs, Sports bars in practice, if not by policy (of course sports bars don't ban women, but such places are certainly more a male place, and cater to male sensibilities in my experience). Just because you choose not to use such places doesn't mean they don't exist. Yes, there may be women around as well, but you can still bond with men if you choose. Hell, you can go to a coffee shop and bond with men if you choose. I honestly can't think of a single woman's only p…

Since you won't apparently give examples of a woman's only place, what, in your mind, would be a men only place? What would it look like, what would it do?

I haven't visited the Blue Pill, except looking at couple of your examples. From what I understand, they set themselves up to show the harm of the Red Pill. Thus, of course they are going to look at the worst examples they can find. The nature of that subreddit is the showcase the harm and horror that is the Redpill. That's one of the reasons I don't bother looking at it, since it doesn't give a fair representation of it. Personally, I subscribe to the Red Pill, and Ask The Red Pill (or somethin…

In my experience, the mods are over there are quick to ban. I'm no troll, never have been, never will be, but was banned for just one comment. There have also been posts a few months back about things people would be banned for.

It would depend on what was agreed on before hand. In this case it was agreed that it would be spilt evenly. If the guy said he would cover and she intentionally ordered something really expensive that would be a dick move. Or vise versa (the woman said she would pay and the guy ordered something really expensive ).

It's a dick move when a woman does it too.

Well, to be fair, there are those of us who only subscribe to see what........interesting things this place has to say.

The birth control does more than just prevent a girl from getting pregnant though. That's the point. There would still be other health benefits (which is why it's being covered) even if the girl never had sex.

As I understand it (I'm no expert) but your argument is flayed. We aren't paying for the birth control so that they can have wild sex 24/7, it's because the birth control is helpful for many health concerns, not just pregnancy. I don't remember what those health concerns are off the top of my head, but when I did look into it, it seemed pretty reasonable.

That is possible, but the internet is part of real life too. On the internet most people who post in r/atheism are not good.

Yeah, and in the video all she said was that guys shouldn't do this as it unsettles women. Why is that bad?

The first one is pretty bad, but I actually completely agree with the second one. The atheist community on this website (at least at r/atheism) is awful.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
