I get a serotonin boost whenever I pull-off a technique successfully in jiu jitsu. Some days, my body just isn't moving so well, and I feel crappy by the end of training. That's me feeling the low-serotonin. Having multiple social groups is another way of being less neurotic, I think. That way when one tribe falls through, you have another one, or rather you may get tired of seeing the same tribe all the time. For me, it's family, church, work, jits, or gf.

5'11" and low 160s. BF 11-12% Sup fam. Yep, this is pretty much standard. Once I made my newbie gains, I found 160~165 is my happy medium for height and frame. I went up to 175 and didn't like the way I looked, plus it puts me in a higher weight class for bjj. These days I simply do calisthenics, bjj, biking, with the occasional playground romp with my daughter.

Yes, you're right. My wording was incorrect. I notice some people will show to class, go through the motions, drill a technique a couple times and say "I got it." You could've signed the waiver a year ago, but that doesn't mean you'll do better than the person who trains instead of just showing up and hoping to learn through osmosis. I try to get in 3-4 times a week. Only doing three this week, have a comp this weekend.

Two-months in... I thought weed only amplified the mental state you're already in? So, if you're getting paranoid, it's because you're already worried about whatever. I don't know. I smoke a bowl pack before jiu jitsu. Helps me relax and not freak out while getting choked out by big, burly men and women. Have you ever needed to sell some off for cash? I'm leery about Bitcoin. Mainly because anything can be hacked. At least if I have physical, I can get physical if you know what I mean. You should read Joseph Cambell. He specialized in the Hero archetype. He identified "The Heroes Journey" in several different mythologies around the world.
