I don’t get it honestly. We’re treated by feminists as props to show how “cosmopolitan” they are by having gay friends, or as outlets for their frustrations when they automatically assume we’re going to be on their side because we’re both “oppressed”. Granted, it’s not as bad as what most men suffer when feminism hijacks law or education, but it’s enough that hopefully growing numbers of gays are keeping their distance.

I hear you. A lot of women I know tend to treat me as an adornment, or a pet. Most of my women friends are normal, but the cloying, condescending and pandering attitude if the rest is annoying as fuck. That said, I have to say the lgbt etc. community bears at least some responsibility for the current belief that we need “battles” fought on our behalf. If we look at current college campuses and how certain groups demand coddling, I can say without a huge risk of exaggeration that society is being…

Congratulations! You’ve found peace of mind. A lesson hard-learned by many men (at least by the ones inclined to learn). I’m honestly grateful for the men who share their stories. It’s been a big part of my fortunate avoidance of the marriage pitfalls I could’ve suffered.

I’ll probably be single forever, but I don’t care. I care so little, in fact, that I’m here telling the men I hate that I’m trying to date that I don’t care if I don’t date. And I’m putting out the worst attitude to weed out the ones who won’t put up with my attitude. But I’m still a catch. If I say it enough, maybe someone’ll believe it.

Oh, that makes so much sense. I’ve always wondered why the women in my life never seem satisfied to sit in silence. Which is weird because it’s been taught for so long that women are more “intuitive” and “emotionally aware”, you’d think they’d rely less on extra conversation.

Good question. I was pretty politically indifferent for most of that time of my life. It wasn’t until I started thinking for myself that I even began paying attention to politics. A few issues I had solid opinions on, and I’d occasionally comment on them if someone brought it up first. Reliance on alleged authority was a HUGE failing of mine. I think a lot of people fall into that trap the same reasons I did. If you’re wrong about something, you can always say, “Well, the “experts” told me so.” …

I fell into that trap for nearly all my life, and I’m still trying to unlearn that lesson. It lead me (or rather, I allowed it to lead me) to accrue debt, fill my life with unneeded crap, pursue a semi-useless degree with corollary loan payments, etc., because I always assumed I should relinquish judgment to the crowd because they “had to know better”. It was lazy and cowardly of me, and didn’t pay off. The lesson is don’t do what I did. Listen to advice, but don’t let it be the deciding factor …

It’s hard, but doable. I asked myself whose standards I need to meet to be “good enough”. Your answer to that question will simplify the problem a lot. Your own standards? Your gods’? Your society’s? Nature’s? They all make demands, but you can’t (and don’t have to) please them all. Act under those expectations that seem good and beneficial, and disregard what doesn’t. And don’t treat authorities as a priestly caste, but give them the attention and respect they merit, not what they demand. Remin…

A friend if mine gets a lot of useless stuff. I’m not complaining, since it doesn’t affect me other than amusing me a bit, but she’s into all those throw pillows you’re not supposed to sleep on. She’s got some piled in the corner of the room on the floor. There not on a couch or a guest bed, there just there, serving only the purpose of taking up space. I do not get it.

It’s funny to me that so many feminists are woman-power, Gaea-goddess nature worshippers, yet feel absolutely free to abandon Her dictates when it comes to Nature’s own hand in assigning even general trends in gender-related aptitudes and interests.

This is something I just don’t get. I’ve the impression most military men are fit, if not jacked. But it seems a high percentage of their spouses are not (and that’s being charitable). Do they start out hot and balloon up after the wedding/deployment? Or is there some defect in military men that directs them to choose sedentary mates?

Women operate on herd mentality and association, thinking that perceived characteristics, like alleged baddassery, will apply to them by virtue of the company they keep. Like when a military wife expects to be called by her husband’s rank. They like whatever rewards come with certain reputations without cultivating the reputation for themselves, which is why they’re so sensitive to criticism and squander so much effort molding their friends and mates into “acceptable” versions or are so ready to…

Mostly agree. At best, I think psych is more of an art/philosophy than a science. In chem, the same materials in the same concentrations added in the same order under the same conditions gets the same result each time, with no reason to expect a variant result. Not so in psych; at best, you get a few useful rules of thumb, but not enough to justify the influence psych wields in courts or legislation.

I’ve heard that too. I’d add that I think that by acting like they have a lot of options, they’re trying to convince potential mates that they really do, and if lots of guys are vying, she must be worth it. Maybe trying to convince themselves while they’re at it.
