also taking it back even further, in old and middle english "man" was the genderneutral term, the orignal term for a male was 'Wereman', the prefix wer (or were) being a masculine identifier. The feminine one was "Wifman", the only vestigial remnants of these two words are in "werewolf" and "wife". If these feminists really wanted gender neutral language they'd be fighting to regress the words back to the old and middle english origins, not fighting to write up some partisan newspeak, and regres…

ironic since 'man' in old english was the gender neutral term, the orignal term for a man was 'wereman', and women originally 'wifman', were/wer being a common word/prefix for male: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/wer#Old_English if these feminists and talking media heads were actually pushing for gender neutral terms, they'd be pushing for regression to old english. Also the changing of language to better fit political narrative, thats a big one that the feminists are pushing for also, and there is a real world example of how changing the language can change people's thought processes. because that still wouldn't actually prevent mass shooting as most of our worse ones were committed with illegally obtained firearms, and it would take some orwellian nightmare methods to curb that problem, which ultimately prove ineffective as people just turn to other more easily acquired weapons, or even make their own. yeah the guns make it slightly easier, but the numbers can get fairly comparative, lack of oversight has always been an issue but that one will never be addressed in an effective manner because so many make a large amount of money off of a lack of oversight
