"Should of" is a misrepresentation of "should've". When spoken it isn't a problem because they're very phonetically similar to the point where it's reasonable to say either. But when typed or written it makes zero sense.

I'm not disagreeing, I just believe in critical thought and metacognition. I think it could benefit a lot of people. And it would fix this issue because then people would be asking why they're typing something that makes absolutely no sense.

I rarely care enough to call it out, just this one instance at 4 am got me. But my point isn't more caring about grammar, but that "could of" and "should of" make literally no sense. I understand typing quick and making mistakes, but it's more about thinking about what you're typing and thus saying. These conjunctions make absolutely no sense. As you type, do people not think "wait, this doesn't really make a lot of sense what I'm typing". Edit: Mistyped isn t, corrected.

I seldom care enough to correct people, and I understand making ng mistakes while typing (do it all the time), but "should of" just never made sense to me because no matter how you say it, it just makes literally no sense.

I don't disagree but I understand and somewhat agree with what the other guy means. Verbally, it makes sense. But to type something out it has to be deliberate. You are literally choosing your words as that's all you have. Verbally there's so many variables and because they sound the nearly the same it doesn't matter. But do people just disregard grammar and spelling?

I would make them leave, but would try and remain active in the three year olds life. But the whole situation is convoluted and fucked up.

See the problem is someone makes a good idea, hear our potential rape victims and let them tell their story when they otherwise couldn't, and turn it shitty, bElIeVe AlL wOmEn! As someone who was molested at a young age (not by a woman), the me too movement has certainly helped me feel more comfortable telling my story. But it's also made a bunch of people feel entitled and narcissistic.

The thing is she defends her actions and doubles down and then plays for sympathy points. And she uses DMCA to fight anyone who criticizes her. Watching most of those, I was like okay whatever. Pushing your cat isnt bad. Even the cat tower one is just because she's a dumbass. But the fact that she doubles down on those is what cements her in my mind as an animal abuser. If I give my cat something seemingly innocuous but found out it was toxic (which I should know if I own a pet), I'd be so sorry…

I been a redditor. I just didn't think this sub was that hypocritical. I guess I was wrong.

I agree many of the posts there seem to be antimen but some of it isn't bad. I can understand the stuff about not wanting to deal with guys advances sometimes or the responses to the antiwomen shit. EDIT: Really? Getting downvoted for saying that not everyone or everything in something is bad? You realize that's like downvoting someone in FDS for saying that "not everything is pussypassdenied is antiwomen." Jesus Christ grow up and drop the identity politics.

There are two type of respect, the first is being treated as a human being. The second is being treated as an authority figure. Usually this goes to say that when people demand respect and if you don’t give it you won’t get it, it’s saying that if you don’t give me the second form I won’t give you the first. In this case no one is arguing that you shouldn’t get the first form. Everyone here agrees to treat everyone with basic human decency. However, the second must be earned. That is what u/krie…

I’m a 17 year old techie who hasn’t had to do any tough manual labor, so I’m not sure how much my two cents are worth but one of the things I asked my current girlfriend was, “if I lived a nomadic lifestyle just traveling the world meeting people and helping them in return for a bed and a bowl, would you be by my side?” Luckily she said she would. Times are changing my man and not all women expect you to take care of them. I’m not gonna have a stay at home wife and a spoiled brat, you gotta just…

That’s a great point. Personally, I’ve already found a passion in infosec and eventually want to start my own pentesting firm, so for me the lingering pain for weeks is what’ll be necessary

My dad does IT at a bank and I intern there over breaks, helping with inventory, setting up computers, basic networking, etc. But while there, my dad made sure to show me all 3 (potentially 4 soon) ways they back up their data. And this is a midsized bank, not a massive one. They just had an actual IT department (I.e. 6+ people) and trusted the IT department to keep shit safe.

Hmm alright thank you. It’s good to know. Looks like my experience with open source wasn’t as great preparation as I thought. Except me setting deadlines I thought I could make... I hate front end...

Damn I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve done some open source work and I really enjoyed it but I guess that’s because I chose my projects.

Do you mind elaborating on the soul sucking part? I’m currently a high schooler looking to go into infosec and I use C++ and Python. I’ve done (for my age) a fair bit of programming and while it’s tedious and energy draining, I still love the shit out of it. I wanna know what I can be expecting in the tech sector a bit more.

American football was named as such because the term “football” contains a wide variety of sports, with American football being known as gridiron, rugby football being “rugger” or rugby, and association football being what the rest of the world calls football. However, Britain being the special little flower it is, decided that association football wasn’t good enough, so they named it soccer (more on that here). That was passed on to their American colonies, who kept the name. However, as Britai…

“Yasss” is a contemporary anachronism used to emphasize happiness or joy. In saying “Yasss Queen”, a person would typically be saying the equivalent of “You get it girl!”, however this is used sarcastically by OP to further emphasize their point of a PPD. I hope I helped clear this up for you without ending up on r/IAmVerySmart. Shit that’s exactly where this is going isn’t it...

As a guy, fuck that shit. I do not speak for all men, this is just my opinion, but I like to be chased just as much as I chase. I’m willing to put in effort to show that I’m serious, but you have to as well. I can understand if you have a pretty valid reason to change the circumstances of us meeting (case in point, this girl I was supposed to go bowling with sprained her ankle so instead we just linked and chilled [however it wasn’t as much a date as just hanging out, but she did introduce me to…

And there’s a history of the bisexual people not being liked by either side. It’s just like mixed race people; you aren’t seen as legitimate unless it’s all or nothing. Hell after I came out, I had people telling me that being bi wasn’t real and that i should just choose a side.

I don’t mean like I was talking about super dirty stuff, more like dirty jokes and dark humor and stuff like that. But I didn’t initiate it, I’m not that stupid. But yeah, I do have to be more careful in our current climate.

It’s sad because I’m a teenager and I had my first internship this summer. I sat next to a female coworker and she was super nice and fun to talk to. We joked about some pretty dirty stuff (she actually had a sense of humor) and I can’t imagine if I didn’t have that. Pushing papers would’ve been mind numbing if I was too afraid to joke around with a coworker.

The article seems to basically say that gender don’t mean shit with temperature and a bunch of other factors do matter. Crazy how reading the article actually disproves her point...
