Nope. Pretty much just "your face is fucked, my dude".

Yes, and yes.

I used to be insecure and think I was ugly. Looking back a couple of years, I definitely wasn’t ugly. I don’t know if Im ugly now but Im working on improvement. I've posted dozens of photos across different rating apps/sites/pages, they've all been around a 3/10, maybe a 4 if the photo was professionally done.

I don't know how you look. You self describe as ugly so I'm going to assume below average but not deformed. 3/10 ish. You pretty much nailed it. I've posted dozens of photos across different rating apps/sites/pages, they've all been around a 3/10, maybe a 4 if the photo was professionally done. Your level is likely obese women. If you're not interested in dating an obese woman, then you're shooting above your pay grade. Are you sure its about romantic connections and not about self-validation? H…

How do you define a romantic experience? A date, kissing, holding hands, sex, anything like that. Flirting? I tried a few times and was either laughed at, insulted, or threatened. Trying to flirt when you're ugly is considered harassment. What are your standards? 1) Not morbidly obese 2) Not clinically insane 3) Can carry on a decent conversation

Why exactly are you sad and bitter? I've put in so much work, time, and dedication into trying to make myself good enough to date. Despite all of that effort I've yet to see any positive impact from it, at least in terms of success in dating. Going your whole life without any sort of romantic experience is simply debilitating, and impacts other areas of your life as well. Are you on medication for social anxiety and depression? I was for a couple years. However, they either didn't really work or…

I've seen both male and female therapists, with a number of different therapy styles (CBT, DBT, EMDR, guided meditation, etc etc).

I've tried that. I'm not trying to come across like I'm just brushing suggestions or advice aside. But at this point if you can think of it, I've probably tried it.

It just feels as though I've tried all the options available to me and nothing's worked, which means clearly there has to be something heinously wrong with me. A few years ago I moved to a larger metropolitan city for work and thought "finally, maybe a change of scenery will help", but nope. Same results as before.

Have you considered going on therapy again? I'm trying to find one now but it's not easy. For whatever reason a lot of the therapists in my area don't seem to specialize/have experience in issues like my own. What usually happens is that I'll get in touch with one of them, give them a brief overview of what's wrong with me, and they'll tell me "oh I can definitely help with that!". Then we actually start sessions and after about two or three visits they usually say something to the effect of "yo…

I don't know if this is appropriate to post here but I just gotta vent for a second. I'm so fucking exhausted of thinking about dating, romance, sex, all of it. As a 27 year old guy who's never been in any relationship and still a virgin, it's fucking wearing me down. Every day I wake up and it's just like there's this massive weight crushing me into the dirt. I can't go ten minutes without thinking about how terrible of a person I must be, how unattractive I am, if this is what I've been condem…

Oh I'm painfully aware of how butt-fuck ugly I am, I assure you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
