Awful first marriage... My second marriage, I don't know what I would do without her. The love and passion we have for each other grow every day. She's an amazing gal; I got lucky.

Congratulations. Best thing I’ve done in a long time. Make sure you rest the entire time the doctor recommends. I know folks that didn’t and they required a lot more time to heal.

No, seasonal allergies at best. Thanks for sharing your experience. I completely feel your frustration.

Thank you! This has driven me crazy over the last few years. Literally, the first sign of a sniffle warrants a call or visit to the peds. I'm concerned about the message all these trips send to my kiddo. Thank you for letting me know my thinking isn't out of line. I was starting to think it was normal.

What you describe is what I consider "normal kid stuff." A couple of visits here and there are completely expected. 100% agree.

Thank you for letting me know. I am so worried about the lesson it sends to my kiddo.

Sounds like you have "typical boys." I'm not talking about roughhousing here. Accidents happen, sometimes that prompts a doctor trip. I am talking about a trip to the doctor or ER at the first sign of a sniffle. There is a huge difference.

Pretty interesting, isn't it?

This is a good point. I feel like my ex is immediately seeking medical attention for our kiddo upon the first sign of an illness. A simple report of a sore throat leads to a call to the peds office or perhaps an emergency visit. This seems abnormal to me. For example, I am more apt to treat it with over-the-counter meds for a day or two before calling or seeking medical attention.

This is solid advice.

Hi there. First, sorry to hear about the situation you are in. I've been there; it's not easy. My response to you will be based on my experience in Pennsylvania, but Georgia may be different. The silver lining is the length of your marriage and the fact that you don't have children. These two factors will make things easier. Being married for five years means you may not be responsible for paying alimony. Typically alimony is only applied to longer marriages. I was married for six years, and ali…

I had a very long divorce (5 years) and had both a male and female attorney throughout the process, not at the same time. I preferred my female attorney over the male. She was very down to earth, wasn’t afraid to set me straight when I needed it, rolled up her sleeves and got things done.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
