It is interesting. Because, gendered is also viewed differently by different generations, especially in this day and age. If you think it fits with your current audience. It may be fine. But when I think of younger generations and their views on gender, it could be perceived in a much different way. We also harp about writing to your target audience. So, if you are trying to speak to men 30-60 this may be OK. But could have a cause different reaction to men 18-30. I very much pay attention to th…

Apologies, if I am not clear I was not calling fear-mongering. But, when you use certain messaging it can tap into someone’s deep rooted fears and emotions. Using the word “gendered” when talking about dating could tap into a them verse me mentality which is found in the manosphere. We know academically, tapping into emotions such as hopes and fears is a great way to enforce our messages into someone. For example, when we write surveys we know the words that will not evoke emotion in someone. E.…

I clicked the friend's access for this article. It’s not bad, but it also claims dating is still gendered and plugs his books. I do appreciate him sharing his critics and preparing men to expect to feel a bit of discomfort. He makes some good points, but at its core, I think it glazes over the most important part: “It opened my eyes to where all the abuse was coming from, and how politically motivated actors used deceptive means to trick countless men into supporting purposefully inaccurate mess…

There is a book called Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die Book by Chip Heath and Dan Heath, and this encapsulates a lot of what they teach in there. It opens up with urban legends, such as the "Kidney Heist" and razors in candy. The Redpill is very good at make up stories. It isn’t actually about if women are like this or not, it is about how it is told, creating a believable story (the OP, is about a just one women and marriage). They do this by tapping into the following belo…

See, this is my whole qualm. And even with what OP linked. None of these links are reliable forms of research. This article is in a small magazine and is not an academic source or written by someone in the field (the author of that article is a freelancer); it is also most certainly not peer-reviewed. And OP, shared a youtube video. Granted that channel is run by people which credentials to speak on these matters. But, any video on your tube is never viewed at research. That is the issues with t…

Story telling is a great way to try and talk to people and share your story. But listen, I am not going to throw my gender related opinions or my perspective at you. I am going to just try my best to explain the impact media, marketing and communications has on us and why. Our beliefs are reenforced and rooted in media consumption. It’s not reality. However, we live in a day where media is so prevalent that we think it’s our reality. Before social media, they found it took a commercial six impre…

The women and men events are usually always separate. And they find that due to this it’s easier to hide when they do something salacious because there’s never large of intermixing genders. The women keep each others secrets and vice versa.

Curious as to why you say post world wars were when women tasted freedom when the first wave of womens rights started in 1840? And then if so, why’d it take till 1960 for the second wave to come in?

“Deprogramming” from extremism created on the internet is in earlier stages. And I’d suggest skimming this from the American Psychological Association as a jumping off point for further research.

Because that’s not how it works… Just because you are tall and have a good job doesn’t mean jack shit. Your lack of understanding that plus your lack of social life makes you look like Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. And women can smell that a mile away.

1 billion of around 8 billion, the global population is 12.5 percent. Globally, about 25 percent of the world is under 15 years of age, and 10 percent is over 65 years of age. Statistically, I could go deeper, but based on above, I don’t think I need to.

Research says this isn’t true, and many women date below their education and economic status. I do not want to cite anything without diving deeper. To truly understand this as factual, one must review many articles and do a literature review (10 sources minimum). Google Scholar is a free resource to do this research. I also suggest learning how to read studies properly. A lot of red pill information is cherry picked to fill their narrative.
/r/ExRedPill27/09/23 02:25 PM

I am too tired to go into this. But a lot of this is done by cherry-picking stats and data. For example, I know a study from Chicago University where the red pill cherry-picked data from, claiming men are having less sex. When in reality, if you look at the entire data set, it is that men are sex longer because we are living longer (I kid you not, 85 year men are getting it, and this backed up by looking at std rates in the elderly). It’s so easy to manipulate data, especially when people are no…

Third thing, google scholar is free and I highly recommend understanding how to do proper research, looking at your sources, how many times the article itself has been cited in other articles, look at who the authors are in their credentials and if the work is peer reviewed. When he was I felt we grew so much but he’d then try to regress and get on his RP bullshit. Tell her how you feel, tell her what you are going through, and be open and honest. There are many by the university of Chicago that show older men are getting it longer. But atlas this is why it is important to understand how to do research, and goes back to why you need to do a literature review. ~~ Also the pew articles all have the same theme, those who they surveyed want to be single. #2 on this list in that pew article you referenced the first paragraph starts with: “Among Americans who are single, the largest share – 57% – say they are not currently looking for a relatio…

Yes, but you are also to have a longer sexually active life. Unless you know how to do a literature review, don’t take many studies seriously. One study doesn’t mean anything. You need around 10 min on the same subject able to compare them to get a “complete”picture. And read up on cherry picking data. Also, look at how the data was taken. Surveys and polls are qualitative and weak compared to quantitative. Also, always look at sample sizes. Make sure to fill read the studies themselves as well …

Not sure if I explain this well but long story short. It doesn’t even matter majority of these are cherry picked and doesn’t not fully interpret the data properly. You need to see full statistically studies to interpret data, you need to look at the sample size, you need to look at the cross tabulations (an example the university of Chicago that has been shared in red pill spaces where they say younger men are having less sex ever before but if you look at the entire cross tabulation and demogra…

I left the guy I was dating for 1.5 due to redpill beliefs. I really tried to stay and understand. But it just was never going to work out. It was such a hurtful time. Sadly, I still miss him but I could never be with anyone with those views who thinks they can treat me certain way.
/r/ExRedPill30/01/23 11:05 PM

Why I left. Loved him dearly, but I left because of his redpill ways. Between dread, negging, to becoming verbally abusive I was done. To be fair he could believe I actually could love him and he had extreme insecurity issues within himself. He also thought all women were a monolith. Saddest part I do miss him…. Well yeah, that’s a whole other thing. That’s being really good at branding, and being able to build a convincing persona. I bet they both have really really good marketing, public relations and media teams. But hey you need a jumping off point with $$ and a lot of people who do these things typically have family wealth to jump off from. It’s a huge thing in NYC with influencers, a lot of them are just rich kids who can show off their rich kid life.

I really think everyone should be required to take a course on mass media, mass communication and marketing. The basis of mass media, and the theory behind it is to disrupt peoples minds to make them think the way you want to think. A great example of this is when they disturb the feed with the orange box for that scam festival frye fest. I mean I live in NYC and doing just fine without apps.. It’s really not that brutal. You have to learn how to “cut turf”. I think a lot of people think NYC is alll the same. It’s five boroughs and the suburbs around it are prettty accessible. I am not going to try to meet people in midtown Manhattan. I also think some of its genetic. But taking care of yourself is so vital. People can not believe it when I tell them I am 30. If it makes you feel any better. I grew up with trust fund babies. They end up being the most miserable, inept functioning people as they get older. It isn’t worth arguing since you don’t understand how to properly do research. You legit share an article that states: When a study’s aim is to investigate a correlational relationship, however, we recommend sampling between 500 and 1,000 people. More participants in a study will always be better, but these numbers are a useful rule of thumb for researchers seeking to find out how many participants they need to sample. And that in itself shows you aren’t worth going back and forth with.

I do. I do it for a living. One study investigated university women (N = 165), and the other( N= 22). That’s low. What makes you think they are more mature and stable? This is the 21st century. My friend has only dated older men for th past decade. She did. Look it up. She is the one who got all more conservative religious secs to come together…. (Mormons, Baptist’s, Orthodox Jews, etc.) And created sound bites and fake news. She honed it in. And created a communications strategy that ended the ERA…. I am not a fan of her or her politics. But it’s fact. She really defined conservative politics. It’s all over the anime websites to watch for free we use, social algorithms for men push them towards half-naked ladies, and Reddit is full of half-naked stuff and so on. And on top of that, I can’t be my partner's in everything. I can’t fulfill ALL his fantasies, and some, I just wouldn’t even want to possibly. And so, I am fine with a little porn time and him jacking off. I like reading sex stories and love ero…

Okay, sounds weird but can I see your profile? Like there is also an art to curating a good profile. Despite looks. And wonder what else you are doing to try and draw people in.

You as well. Always enjoy a good discourse. So much you can learn. Idk, I love learning and studying these kinds of things. So, happy to talk more about it. And yes, maybe you will. I typically lurk and read, however.

Okay, keep thinking that, because it is YOUR OPINION. But I think you need to do better research to support your ideas in the future. And that was the entire crux of the argument I was making in my original comment. You could poke holes in my arguments being like well the United States will be more Hispanic in the next 30 years, and they make less. Or something along those lines. But you just need to understand you don’t have the knowledge to properly interpret data and understand how to realize …

Do you understand averages? And the fact you are considering the age ranges from 18-100? Thus you need clean the data to remove people who are not in the workforce because they may be students, still sustained by their parents or already retired. And what the definition of a household is. Look at current educational data and what’s projected for the current incoming classes of 2022. You are now are going back and forth between median and average. Bottom line is you have no idea how to interpret …

In my first comment, I am pretty sure I am mostly asking you about your sources and the data you used. And to be careful about your sources. And asking about your basic understanding of survey data. You need data trends because you are thinking of retirement based on a current generation of women who have the lower educational backgrounds, work experience, and so on. I am not saying two IS NOT better than one. But it can be seen WHY educated women would be able to GO IT ALONE. I mean for Christ'…

The data I attached from the census stats majority of people with a college degree (BA or BS) make avg 67k. So regardless. Women won’t be making 25k a year if they are educated. And this would be seen mostly for women without a degree. Data here is showing 50% of women have degrees. Also, please learn to read data, look at the methodology and the sources you get your data from. Because you’re entire argument started with women making 25k a year. And the study you attached was via a CNBC article …

The data you shared was only compared to white men… so it’s skewed. I am just telling you to understand data better.

Hi, so you used a news article. Who linked a report by a market research company called PayScale. The report was meant to talk about the gender pay gap between and women. And used by the company as an equal pay day campaign. This is the methodology they used: https://www.payscale.com/research-and-insights/methodology/ They used a sample size of 1.8 million of people they sent their survey out too. Whereas, I linked the US census which is sent out to 330 million. Hence why knowing the sources of …

I need to double-check the labor stats from the labor bureau. But this is what I mean by trends. Data right now may say women make x but women or younger ages are now becoming much more educated than women of prior generations. Granted they still make less compared to men. And I believe last time I checked women dominate graduate programs as well. But then is the argument, why would white college-educated women stay single? https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/06/20/u-s-women-near-mileston…

Just 25k looked very low.. still would like a source. And what is your basic understanding of looking at demographic data? Happy to explain how just a median income alone doesn’t pay the entire picture. That’s why knowing how to cross-tabulate is important. Like looking at white women v women of color, who is defined as a household, education and its role, the trends of who is getting an education, and so on. And give you some data on the census and how to look at data like this because not “ALL…

I second this about people writ large being abusive. And in these areas of study it’s widely know the numbers of abused males both emotionally, physically and sexually are greatly under reported.

Many of us I think have been there. Both male and female. Just men are less likely to report issues or speak up about them. It’s widely known men underreport sexual abuse, assault and physical abuse. Just throwing that out there. But back to the point above. We get told by people this is OKAY. Especially when he says ex’s or family were abusive is a common myth we connect with abusers and make excuses for him. The people in our lives do as well. I remember going to a friend and telling her about…

Well for starters UCF is the sugar baby capital of colleges. So go for it. It also has the highest pop of students which means lots of people to choose from. Also people in your age. Which I chuckle because when I was at UCF I dated a guy five years older then me. Hit up the local bars, go to tailgates, go downtown, and maybe see if you can get a membership at their dope ass gym? Or you can move into campus style housing. Since a-lot of those apartments aren’t part of campus but affiliate housin…

Honestly as someone also with medical conditions it’s easy to turn to an online community to feel connected to others. Especially when you are at peak sickness and have dealt with the isolation of hospitals and such. We want to feel better and be better but it’s so hard when we have a failing body or a body that constantly is giving us hell. Find something else to dive into. I had my fair share of communities and stuff I’ve tried to get involved with. Idk if that any of that helps. But you aren’…

real talk I always get confused because Xenophobia is the fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners, whereas racism has a broader meaning set including "a belief that racial differences produce the inherent superiority of a particular race." Although they are similar, they are different enough that it is possible for one to be both xenophobic and racist.

I mean, I don’t think it’s bad luck. I think it’s more a numbers game. When you are a 7 and up you statistically get a higher chance of being hit on which leads to a higher chance of awful experiences. It’s a numbers game. And I’ve sadly been a physically fully developed individual since I was 11. Let’s also just say a lot of Andrew Cuomo aged politicians are very much doing the same behavior as him. I once went into an office to talk to a chief of staff about signing a letter and joining a coal…

Like I could MAYBE tolerate the verbal stuff, and maybe I’d be less jaded if it was just physical stuff is a lot. I am a petit girl. It does damage. The guy pulled my hair and dragged me to the floor. I’ve had massive bruises on ass before from shit, and I’d like to be able to sit down… and not be reminded I was pretty much assaulted. It’s rampant in NY for sure, and from all types of men. I’ve experienced it through the east coast. I did my undergrad in Florida and Masters in DC. Oooooof and bo…

Zero fucks…. at all. Even family members make comments. So you don’t want to trade places? One thing I will tell you, I appreciate how skeptical, cautious and questioning it has made me look at the world. Damn, now we could never be friends. We’d be too cute.. I am 4 feet 11 inches and pretty much same ages on those milestones as well. They are EVERYWHERE….. I was a graduate student in DC. I went on a date with this BEAUTIFUL man from the state department. He starts making jokes about how I could be jail bait and jokes about wanting to see my ID. He then feels compelled to tell me I remind him of the underage girls he slept with at brothels in Argentina. And proceeds to call me Mamacita. You can’…

I could go on all day about creepy approaches. Which is a bit sad. It’s even worse because I look much younger then I am. And petite…. Men love jailbait. And I love how you had to throw in your an ass connoisseur. But yes, normal guys rejoice. Just have a conversation and treat us like a human. I am not a sex object (even if you are thinking it in your head).

Well approaches that lead to uncomfortable situations and shaped me. Man who pulled my hair. Approached me. Asked me to join him in VIP. I declined and he pulled my hair as I walked away. Man who punched in face, asked me to dance and then my friend. We asked him to leave us alone. Got punched in the face at the bar. (Honestly respect for the 10 strangers who beat his ass). Elementary to middle school. I don’t think people knew how to truly approach as an adult would. Boys would approach me and …

All the time. I hit puberty sooo young too. So walking home from school consisted on being whistle called and honked at. And creepy men pulling up to me. It made me resent my body tbh. I started dressing to hide it in middle school especially after the constant getting pants to see my ass or getting grabbed. I think I even asked my pediatrician once to remove my breasts. High school, was rough because I was fetishize for being Puerto Rican. So most of the guys only wanted me because of the Latin…

Lol sometimes I want to take my PR skill set to good use and help y’all with your dating profiles. This may sound weird. But there is this book called made to stick by Heath and Heath. It may help you with dating in terms of story telling, how to write a simple concrete bio to weed out mismatches and so on.

Well for starters, what background do you have in research? And do you understand the limits of qualitative studies? And collecting data via surveys and focus groups? Second, we aren’t all the same, we are humans. We all want different things.
